funny you mention that. when i first played LoZ for NES, I thought at first the little dude's name was Zelda.

Not Link's awakening, or Majora's Mask, and sorta not in Twilight Princess.
 
If I'm reading this right, Mana Khemia (Portable Plus) Premium Box is coming out for PSP on 6/26 per Soutahouse.

That's looking like a busy day.

Oh yeah there was Princess Crown(which also sucked) and Grim Grimoire(which I haven't played as it isn't my genre but apparently that's decent).

Vanilla's next game looks to be following the path PC and OS set however so is it any wonder why I'm cautious?

Thing is though is that I think they're fairly competent devs. Despite their small team and limited funds they can put together a game, they just can't design worth a damn. Design-wise OS & PC are a mess and it's frustrating because a lot of the problems with both games were due to ideas that "seemed clever at the time". Both games also suffered from stretching five hours of content into 30 hour epics that just ended up boring.
 
Star Ocean 4 seems to be look a lot better (graphically) then Infinite Undiscovery. I'm starting to think Star Ocean 4 is for the Playstation 3

The only design flaw of OS, imo, was the growing food thing. Everything else was fine.

I heavily disagree with your last statement.

tri-Ace updated their site, new pic in the front page and Valkyrie Profile DS added to their Products page. I guess that makes tri-Ace involvement with VP DS official (if there was any doubt).

after seeing clean scans of both games... I can say that IU looks amazing. I can't comment on SO4 because I don't know if some of the shots are real time or CG although the pics in the last page definitely look like real time shots to me.

seems that tales of the world narikiri dungeon 4 for ds it's on the way. Jump shows only the cast (main character from nd1-2-3 and summoner's lineage), no screens. Btw I wonder if it will be done with the innocence engine.
 
Infinite Undiscovery
- IU is totally seamless.
- checking the menu doesn't pause the game, think PSO or MH.
- Situations that are solved quickly offer bonus rewards like full party healing and so on.
- there's a day/night cycle, 10 minutes for a cycle.
- you control the Main Character only, Capel. you can control the AI by using stances instead of commands. not sure how this works.
- the AI seems to play a big role, since the whole game is real time. (lets hope the AI is GOOD)
- a lot of characters in the game
- the characters story will not be presented like VP1, instead they develop while traveling with the party. like in any rpg.

Star Ocean 4
- gameplay wise SO3 haters I think, should not look forward to SO4.

That is lame as all hell. Like anyone is going to totally turn around during their stage of identity crisis in the time span of a week. Shit takes years!

the fact that they are not making major changes to the systems of SO3 makes me feel vindicated, I guess. SO3 haters can eat a dick, the battle system of SO3 was awesome. glad to see they are not going to ditch it.

I'm fine with the rest of the information, but I really dislike this. Even Mass Effect pauses the game when you select a spell/skill :/

Well, the word that's being translated as "struggling" can also be interpreted as a positive, like they're "trying their hardest". Without any sort of additional context, it's tough for me to know the difference, though. But yeah, the word doesn't necessarily indicate that the struggling they are having is negative. Lousy foreign languages and their own unique nuances!
