We'll soon be conducting an interview with Frontlines: Fuel of War's Design Director (David Votypka) over at THQ-Games.com

And we were wondering... what would you like to know?

I'll collate the best questions and get them published (gimme a name and hometown and you'll be credited in the article). So either send them directly to ukwebmaster@thq.com or get the full details from www.thq-games.com/uk and take it from there/

I look forward to your submissions, which I'm sure will be both sensible and insightful :D

- With the FPS genre overflowing at the moment, what do you think will make Frontlines standout in the overcrowded market.

- With the recent well publicised alleged problems UE3 is causing to some developers how are you handling using the engine to develop the game on 360, PS3 and PC. Is any platform casing more of a hassle than the other?

- Frontlines seems to be going for a very Ccnematic feel, but sometimes games like this can come of very action orientated and the story becomes secondary to the action. Are you concerned players may ended up moving around a selection of no-name protagonists and forget there is a story involved?

- Is the currently announced 32 players for multiplayer running stable? Many games seem to stick to that number but still have a few unforseen problems come release. Will you be quick to release a patch for consoles should problems arise?

- The game seems to make huge use off vehicles. Now, although this seems great, many games seem to confine vehicles to certain parts of level. For example, the likes of COD puts up a barrier so you cant drive a tank past a certain point. Will Frontlines offer more freeform use of vehicles than some other FPS games?

- The idea of focusing objectives closer together seems a little different but undoubtedly it seems to make the game stand out from other. Do you think this will work out well?

- Upgrades seem to play a big part in the game, however most of the highly successful FPS games place a emphasise on action. Do you feel that people interested in the action elements of the genre will find something to love in frontlines?

edit: I have not been follow, or even heard of this game till today, so all these Q's are based of a Wikipedia article.

Why am I thinking of putting Saitou on my ignore list?

Why don't you make good games?

Oh, that's why.

Frontlines, Stalker, MotoGP... THQ has transformed into a quality publisher. So why don't you take your attitude to another thread.

What are you doing to distance yourself from all of the other online first person shooters in the market

Oh and dont forgot:

- With the game delayed to January 2008 to avoid the crowded holiday release schedule how much of this time will be used to refine the game?

I am all out...

...and a bit interested in the game now

Hey, I bought Quest64. I am entitled to that question.

Well to be fair, while THQ hasn't always been that great of a console publisher (game quality wise), they are awesome on the PC front.

To be fair, it had some good ideas, but the execution was so, so awful.

A DS remake would actually be a good idea.

Okay, okay. I change my question. Are there any plans to revive the Quest franchise on DS?
I am aware this has nothing to do with the subject at hand

-Why do you guys at THQ call my game idea's dumb?

-Why do you(THQ) feel it's cool to deny me happiness?

-I told you(THQ) I'd accept a low fee of $250,000 for my story, why did you only offer to pay me in monopoly money?

-And your contribution to society is.....what?

Wait, you want specific questions about Frontlines?

-After the guys making Frontlines are done, can I get them to make my dream video game?

-Will you guys be doing download content? If so, will you rape our wallets for it?

-Will your game stand the tests of time? What I mean is after games like Killzone 2 are out do you feel you've made a game people will still want to play?

-Will you be pulling the plus on online less then a year after the games release?

-Do you agree with Silicon Knights suing Epic over Silicon Knights being unable to use and pick a perfectly fine engine?

-With the problem that Microsoft has with Red Rings of Death and Disk Scratching do you like Cherry pie or Cake better? Keep in mind that Cherry pie is really PlayStation 3 and Cake is Playstation 3 with a rumble controller(You can only pick one or the other).

-What do you know about Rumble for the PS3? Is it coming before October?

Multiplayer-centered games tend to neglect the singleplayer portion. People have tried to put some work into singleplayer, but in the end it ends up feeling a bit tacked on. What will you do to make sure the singleplayer is a solid offering?

Ranking systems and rewards is the cool thing in multiplayer games these days. Gives them a sense of purpose and progression. What will Frontlines offer in terms of ranks, badges, medals, unlocks, weapons, abilities etc.?

Can you stand on top of air or ground-based drones while you or someone else is controlling them? If not I demand you make it so. Make a dedicated game mode if necessary.
