Three in May - Backlog Returns 3D

VLR
Soul Sacrifice
Fire Emblem

Pretty much my list except I'm swapping out VLR for 999. If I get through these 3 games and I like 999 I'll definitely try and focus on VLR the next month, already have it downloaded on my 3DS.

Update! It's only May 5th and I met the monthly goal, I suppose. Feels nice finishing a few games so early in the month. I haven't had this much time to play games all year so I forgot what it feels like, lol! I've also added yet another game to my rotation/list.

PS1:
Echo Night
Clock Tower
Tecmo's Deception
Silent Bomber
Jersey Devil
Powerslave
Pinobee
The Divide: Enemies Within
Alundra (replay)

GBA:
Astro Boy: Omega Factor

3DS:
Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon

PS3:
Ni-no-Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch
Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time
Guacamelee

Just finished Guacamelee this afternoon. I didn't 100%/Plat the game yet, but I saw the "bad" ending on Normal. I bought this game at launch, played a ton of it, and dropped it for a few weeks for whatever reason. Definitely a cool game despite all the questionable internet references. I'm a sucker for these Metroidvania games so this scratched the itch quite well. I've already started Hard and am going for 100%/Plat on this run so we'll see if I feel like knocking out full completion for this game as the weeks go on.

Finally finished LotR: Return of the King (Gamecube), I started a new playthrough as I hadn't played it in years, and I really enjoyed it. I struggled on the Black Gate, but the other levels weren't too hard. One of the best movie tie-ins I've played. Time to finish the last few dungeons in Pikmin 2, can't believe I never finished it...

100%d FEZ, or should I say
209.4%'d rather
. Beautiful, amazing game, definitely not for the impatient or action-minded, though.

Almost done with The Bridge as well, second half of the game solved my complaint of the first half not being challenging enough.

Managed 3 titles in April, lets see if I can do the same in May

• DmC
• Rage
• Need for Speed Most Wanted
• Heavy Rain
• Demon Souls
• Dark Souls
• Crysis
• The Cave
• Minna no Golf 6
• Tiger Woods 14
• Dragons Dogma Dark Arisen

Already playing Heavy Rain so that will be first. After that I haven't decided yet

Pokemon White 2
Fire Emblem: Awakening
Castlevania Lords of Shadow: Mirror of fate

Never participated in one of these before. Finding I'm too tired for games these days so I'm not expecting much, but I might as well aim for something.

Cave Story+ - Been in my backlog for a while now, started playing yesterday and I'm having fun so should be no problem to finish it pretty quickly.
Zelda: Majora's Mask - Obtained a Japanese copy of the game not long ago, finally got a CRT TV up and running that handles NTSC signals good(I live in a PAL territory so not every TV works that great) so I don't have to play with input lag or in black/white picture. I have finished the game several times before but never the JP version.
Persona 4 Arena - It's coming out in Europe this week...seems a lot of people don't want to buy it now because of the publisher fiasco but I really need something new to play.

Binary Domain - Finished it a couple of days ago. Short game but the cutscenes are extremely entertaining and shooting away layers of metal off robots is immensely satisfying.

Tomb Raider - Finally decided to start it despite owning it since release day. Loving the game so far

Bioshock Infinite - Also owned it since release day, gonna get to it after beating Tomb Raider.

Doing pretty good this month!

Soul Hackers
Dragon Quest VI
Orcs Must Die 2

New list of Shame

Kingdom Hearts 3D
Kings Bounty: Warriors of The North
Deus Ex: Human Revolution
Trine
Borderlands

Second game done, Pixeljunk Eden is finished. I think it's finished. It gave me an achievement for it at least, and I saved a little thingy.

Looks like Left 4 Dead and its sequel will be the next ones on the list to beat!

Just finished infamous 2 - that's one off the list! Great great game, but hordes of enemies were a huge demerit. :(

Hoping to have Guacamelee, Spec Ops, maybe Vanquish finished by the end of Friday. We'll see!

I finished infamous 2 about a week ago. Thought it was alright. You have a fantastic set of three games coming.

Just finished Link's Awakening for the first time yesterday. Really fun game, those last few dungeons were annoying though. Now onto my other two games for the month:

I am having difficulty picking between:
Pokemon Black 2
Megaman 3
Legend of the River King
Dear Esther
Max Payne 3
The Walking Dead
Monaco

Any suggestions for this month?

Last month I complete Infinite and Tomb Raider

For this month-
Gaucamelee
Super Mario Galaxy 2
Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon

There's no way I'm going to go for all the green stars in Super Mario Galaxy 2. I've been too frustrated by some of the later levels as it is. I just want to finish off the last level and be done with it. For some reason this game has cleaned my clock.

just beat kirby's return to dreamland completing my wii backlog.

if i can finish lego city and fist of the north star i'll be down to just six 3ds games.

reporting with increased backlog... again :(

I was planning on finishing 2 games in April, no success

So this month I'm playing:
White Knight Chronicles I-II
Thomas was alone
Catherine
Okami HD

I plan to finish at least 3 from this list, it would be nice to finish at least one!

I'm either gonna do a marathon of Luigi's Mansion 2 tonight or tomorrow (as I'm having a mini vacation). I'm at least going for 2 completed games this month. I just HAVE to do it.

Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 (Chapter 16)
Fire Emblem Awakening (Chapter 17)
Liberation Maiden

Bonus:
Luigi's Mansion 2 (Mansion 2)

My goal for may:

Soul Hackers
AAI: Miles Edgeworth
Tomb Raider

On my list:
-God of War: Ascension (PS3)
-Crysis 3 (PC)
-DMC: Devil May Cry (PS3)

Bonus
-Metal Gear Rising (PS3)
-Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 Plus (Vita)

I'm also going to go try out Paper Mario Sticker Star and see if I even want to finish that game up next month or not (I'm betting not...)

Left 4 Dead done! But I think it's primarily a multiplayer-only game as I had some problems with the AI, particularly on the port/bridge Finale mission. So the sequel is going to be relegated to "multiplayer-only" and struck off the backlog list for now.

Not sure what to play next - turns out I've already finished Ultimate Doom in a previous incarnation, so that's gone too. Time to raid through some of the GOG collection.

Update! ...and it's another game that wasn't originally on my list! I gotta stop starting new stuff. =/

PS1:
Echo Night
Clock Tower
Tecmo's Deception
Silent Bomber
Jersey Devil
Powerslave
Pinobee
The Divide: Enemies Within
Alundra (replay)

GBA:
Astro Boy: Omega Factor

3DS:
Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon
Adventure Time: Hey Ice King? Why'd you steal our garbage?!!

PS3:
Ni-no-Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch
Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time
Guacamelee

Just finished Adventure Time for 3DS this evening. I bought this on a complete whim because it was cheap and I love Wayforward. I've never watched a single episode of the cartoon, but I figured I'd dig the game itself because of its Zelda-like nature/influence. Finished the game on Normal at 100% in around 4 1/2 hours. It definitely was a short, easy, but fun little game. There's a Hard Mode New Game+ upon beating the game so I'll probably check that out soon since it won't be much of an investment. The game's concept/world was pretty funny, actually. Not sure if the TV show is like this, but the characters are obsessed with garbage and trash. To make an entire game centered around seeking garbage was pretty neat. Game's got those staple Wayforward animations too. Cool game.

You're right in that it's not much of an investment. Just don't expect to get too much out of it other than another playthrough. You do unlock something minor (
a sound test
) after beating it, but the difficulty is still trivial.

You should check out an episode or two of the show since you've got some free time. Garbage isn't always a focus. :)

Update! I've been finishing a lot of games recently because I was so close to the end in a lot of them. Oh, and I also went back and got my Plat/100% in Guacamelee.

PS1:
Echo Night
Clock Tower
Tecmo's Deception
Silent Bomber
Jersey Devil
Powerslave
Pinobee
The Divide: Enemies Within
Alundra (replay)

GBA:
Astro Boy: Omega Factor

3DS:
Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon

PS3:
Ni-no-Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch
Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time
Guacamelee

Just finished Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time this afternoon. This was another game I bought on release date, but because of my crazy work schedule during the first/second quarter of the year I only got a chance to play it here and there. Even though I've mastered the original Sly trilogy, the first game still remains my favorite. While I enjoyed this game, I think, more than Sly 2 & 3, the GTA-game DNA still rears its ugly head in the 4th game. There were way too many "mini-games" in this one, maybe even more than what 2 & 3 put you through. Bentley's shit was far too common as well. There were WAY TOO many hacking-games, and the RC copter/car missions were still just as boring as they have always been. Also, if next gen open world games have "escort/follow the bad guy without being spotted" types of missions then no one has learned anything.

I really thought the Sly ancestral stuff was the coolest aspect of the game. I wish they focused more on Sly's ancestors and the costumes you acquired rather than fall back into the trappings of the 2nd and 3rd game. But whatever, game was still fun, for the most part, and I'm glad I played it. I think if I had to order them I'd place them like this: Sly 1 > Sly 4 > Sly 2 > Sly 3.

in May, lol

that was Luigi's Mansion, I haven't found all the Boo's or Gems, that may be another challenge for me in the summer

for my back log, I am thinking Code of Princess, followed by starting Minish Cap. (sot minish cap done in June, by that time I will have DKCR 3DS)

one or two games a month for me is enough, I think, well one or two 10+ Hour Games

I have bought wolverine for the 360 may give that a go on an off, but that depends really

actually, I would like:

3DS
Code of Princess
Cave Story 3D

if I have time
GBA Ambassador Game:
Minish Cap

and on the back burner Wolverine Origins on the 360.

that feels like a productive gaming month to me :)

for me reaching the end credits etc is enough, 100% of a game is something i rarely do.

Update! Just finished another game last night. On a roll here!

PS1:
Echo Night
Clock Tower
Tecmo's Deception
Silent Bomber
Jersey Devil
Powerslave
Pinobee
The Divide: Enemies Within
Alundra (replay)

GBA:
Astro Boy: Omega Factor

3DS:
Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon
Adventure Time: Hey Ice King? Why'd you steal our garbage?!!

PS3:
Ni-no-Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch
Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time
Guacamelee

The Divide: Enemies Within, what a fucking WEIRD game. I don't think many people on this earth have played this game, lol! If there was ever a game that felt inspired by Super Metroid, it's this game. The game's into starts you with most of your abilities and upon completion of the introduction you lose them all and have to reclaim them. There's energy tanks and missile upgrades to collect and the bosses even explode into health and ammunition pools when defeated. There's also an item collected percentage screen after beating the game. Sound familiar? It's crazy how influential Metroid was on these guys.

I completed the game with 100% of the items collected in 4 hours. It's pretty short. Such a fascinating game. Glad I played it.

I have such a hard time progressing in games, is it only me? :(

I completed the first level of Luigi's Mansion 2 this morning and immediately stopped and haven't returned to it since.

I'm thinking of just doing a completely insane marathon for a week and just play without many breaks - of course I also have to have time for my girlfriend so that plan probably won't last. I at least want to complete Luigi's Mansion 2 by Sunday.

Update, lol! I'm on a roll. Added two games to my list that weren't on it before (and completed one of them). I'm so fucking focused right now. Not really having seriously gamed since last year must have given me some sort of endurance boost. Although, I am on a break from work for a few months so maybe that's helping too. =/

PS1:
Echo Night
Clock Tower
Tecmo's Deception
Silent Bomber
Jersey Devil
Powerslave
Pinobee
The Divide: Enemies Within
Alundra (replay)

GBA:
Astro Boy: Omega Factor

3DS:
Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon
Adventure Time: Hey Ice King? Why'd you steal our garbage?!!

PS3:
Ni-no-Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch
Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time
Guacamelee

PC/Steam:
Zeno Clash
Zeno Clash II

Finished TWO games today. A friend of mine told me that Zeno Clash II is an emergency and that I had to replay the first game and then immediately go into the second one (which I will tomorrow, lol!). Apparently, it's a big deal and I need to see/play the game ASAP. I finished the first game back on 360 years ago, but I didn't remember shit about it. I finished it this evening and it's such a fucking cool game. Love the Breakdown-like combat (almost better than Breakdown, actually) and the setting/atmosphere/characters/world are weird as shit, in the coolest way possible. Can't wait to play the second game.

I also finished Treasure's Astro Boy: Omega Factor on Hard mode tonight. Holy shit. So amazing. Easily one of my favorite Treasure games now. Some of those stages/bosses on Hard were crazy difficult. I haven't really applied myself to anything SERIOUSLY challenging in awhile so it was nice to experience some sweaty palm gaming! The post game content in Astro Boy is pretty damn cool too. I've never seen a game do a post game like this one. Rebirth, motherfuckers.

Finished nearly 12 games last month, so I'll take 4.

Soul Sacrafice (Single Player)
Vanquish
Puzzle Quest
Resident Evil 6 (Chris Pro Mode/Serpent Medals)
Mass Effect 3 DLC

Bonus
40k Dawn of War GoTY
Gravity Daze
Halo 4
Limbo

Well RE6 is offically done. Now to finish a few of the others. Kinda stalled on SS, not nearly as fun in single player after getting a taste of Co-Op.

Mini-backlog:
Remember11
Higurashi: When They Cry
Bioshock Infinite
Deadly Premonition
Never7
Persona 4 Golden

Currently on the second episode of Higurashi and the third chapter of Deadly Premonition. Also about to start
the Striptease
in Persona 4 Golden.

Queue has reached 100+ games now, but I'm pretty much done buying games until next generation. I should be knocking out more PC games before my room gets too hot in the summer, but:

Bioshock Infinite (Steam)
Final Fantasy 3 (DS)
Panzer Dragoon (Just bought a Saturn and ~20 games)

Doing OK, but been playing DOTA2 and a lot of Sega Rally on the new Saturn. Need to focus on the queue!

Fourth game, moved on to the GOG collection now, Rise of the Triad: Dark War. Despite its age, I found it surprisingly good fun. The varied level designs compelled me to play all the way through to the end, as well as a good sense of humour. The real Wolfenstein 3D sequel it never got.

Edit: Next two games are set, going to play me some Descent and Descent 2.

May (so far), and what's on my short-list

Fable 2
Gears of War 3
Killzone 2
inFamous 2

Max Payne 3
Sleeping Dogs
Tomb Raider

Dragon Warrior 7
Dragon Quest 6
Skyward Sword

B-B-B-BONUS

I'm a ways into Dragon Quest 6 already, just beat the Lanayru region in Skyward Sword, and I'm on prison island in Xenoblade. I can do it!
