Update!

PS1:
Echo Night
Clock Tower
Tecmo's Deception
Silent Bomber
Jersey Devil
Powerslave
Pinobee
The Divide: Enemies Within
Alundra (replay)

GBA:
Astro Boy: Omega Factor

3DS:
Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon
Adventure Time: Hey Ice King? Why'd you steal our garbage?!!

PS3:
Ni-no-Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch
Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time
Guacamelee

PC/Steam:
Zeno Clash
Zeno Clash II

Zeno Clash II completed. Holy shit. WOW! What an incredible game. This has EASILY become my GOTY. I'm so glad I replayed the original before jumping into this one too. Zeno Clash probably has the most interesting world/universe I've seen in a game. It's definitely the best I've seen in awhile. I've never played a sequel either that respects the original game quite like this. The continuity between the first and second game is astounding. Ace Team has something really good here. Someone needs to pick these guys up and give them as much money needed as possible to make a 3rd game, lol! I'm so ridiculously impressed and enamored by what they've created. I finished the game on Hard, collected all 70 Moths on my own (which I had no idea how I pulled that off) and only have two remaining achievements to earn. So amazing. It's going to be tough for another game to top this one.

We're almost half way through the month and my list is looking decent. I feel behind on my PSone goals because I kept adding other games to my rotation, lol! I probably should get back to some of those. I also feel somewhat back on track with Ni-no-Kuni, but we'll see if I can finish that by the end of the month. Taking my time with it, enjoying it a bit more than I did initially, but it's still not quite clicking with me. Some of these games will probably spill into June as well.

Corpse Party
Corpse Party: Book of Shadows.

Hitman Absolution

Hunted: The demon's forge
Persona 3 FES

Decided I have seen all that I care for in Theatrythm: Final fantasy.
Also finally finished Fire Emblem: Awakening

On to Hyperdimension Neptunia 1 and Atelier Rorona, both apparently the weakest of their respective trilogies...

My list

Super House of Dead Ninjas. PC
I haven't unlocked everything, but I feel that I have done enough to deem it completed. I have beaten all the bosses in the base game and the ones in Trans-Dimensional Leakage, I have unlocked the Lightsaber and I have seen both endings.

Stealth Bastard Deluxe: Tactical Espionage Arsehole PC
I didn't get any S Rankings, mostly A and B Rankings.

Anodyne PC

Resident Evil 6 PC
So far it isn't as bad as I have been led to believe. The combat system makes it fairly enjoyable. I have also enjoyed quite a few sessions of Mercenaries Mode with some fellow GAF members. Very patient GAF members. I am not that great at Mercenaries Mode.

Last month I complete Infinite and Tomb Raider

For this month-
Gaucamelee
Super Mario Galaxy 2
Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon

There's no way I'm going to go for all the green stars in Super Mario Galaxy 2. I've been too frustrated by some of the later levels as it is. I just want to finish off the last level and be done with it. For some reason this game has cleaned my clock.

32455254.jpg

Grand Theft Auto IV (first playthrough, started May 1 2013)
Halo 4
FEZ (XBLA)

Also, I'm considering completing two of the following games this month, also:

Resident Evil 4 (have never played a RE game before, bought it when it was on sale on XBL)
Banjo Tooie (XBLA)(will be first playthrough)
Shadow Complex (XBLA)

I've completed Grand Theft Auto IV, how do I do the strike-out?

Wii
Kirby's Return to Dreamland: Complete

Wii U
Fist if the North Star: Ken's Rage 2: Complete
Lego City Undercover: In progress

Might be able to finish Lego City tonight.

When that is done I'll probably just play some old DC stuff, work on my Japanese language backlog and save my 3DS backlog for some upcoming traveling.

Failed hard last month, only completed one of two.

Persona 2: Innocent Sin
Persona 2: Eternal Punishment
The Walking Dead

I'll learn to stop throwing up old RPGs on this after I finish these, I swear. :p

Well, Innocent Sin is done. Eternal Punishment is started, but the interface may knock me out of the running with it. Walking Dead can probably be done in 2 days, so I'm still on pace. Also working on P4A for the PS3, story mode and practicing so I don't suck online. ;p

Welp, Descent is done - really good game, and definitely needs a sequel with Occulus Rift support. ;P

Going to postpone playing the sequel for now, though; I think next up is going to be Little Big Adventure 2.

Barely got through two games last month, hopefully I will do better this month.

Here is my list games,

Infamous 1, Good ending
God of War 3
Dead Space 2

The Walking Dead

Hopefully I can finish both Infamous and God of War by the end of the month. I don't think I will get to Dead Space though.

Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon
Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening
Dragon Quest V

DQV is going to be the really tough one since I have barely played it at all. The other two I should be able to finish and really want to since DKCR3D and the Oracle games are coming out at the end of the month.

Well I'm about halfway through DQV

Still on the 4th mansion in Luigi's Mansion

Finished the third dungeon of Link's Awakening but I'm sorta playing along with a Let's Play of it so I'm not worried about never finishing it. Won't get done this month though.

Could maybe add the story mode of MK Vita since I got about halfway through that in a couple mornings of play.

Wii
Kirby's Return to Dreamland: Complete

Wii U
Fist if the North Star: Ken's Rage 2: Complete
Lego City Undercover: In progress: Complete

Feels good to have my major console stuff done. Now I just need to figure out which of my Japanese games to work my way through. I suppose I should work on my Wii stuff so that I don't have to take it with me back to Dallas.

If anyone wants to throw some suggestions my way, here is what I'm looking at:

http://www.backloggery.com/games.ph...ole=&status=5&unplayed=&rating=&region=1&own=

Games

Devil Summoner: Soul Hackers (3DS)
Fire Emblem Awakening (3DS)
Otogi 2 (Xbox)

I'm not sure if I can get both of those done before the end of the month, but I am close to the end in both.

Wii
Kirby's Return to Dreamland: Complete

Wii U
Fist if the North Star: Ken's Rage 2: Complete
Lego City Undercover: In progress: Complete

Earth Seeker, lol! I'm actually dying to know more about that game. As mediocre as it's made out to be, I would have played the balls out of it if it ever came out in NA.

Corpse Party
Corpse Party: Book of Shadows.
Hitman Absolution
Hunted: The demon's forge
Theatrythm: Final fantasy.
Fire Emblem: Awakening
Persona 3
Persona 4 Arena (story)
Atelier Rorona

Atelier Rorona down, or at least one of the endings. May youtube some/the others.

Hyperdimension Neptunia next.

Queue has reached 100+ games now, but I'm pretty much done buying games until next generation. I should be knocking out more PC games before my room gets too hot in the summer, but:

Bioshock Infinite (Steam)
Final Fantasy 3 (DS)
Panzer Dragoon (Just bought a Saturn and ~20 games)

Some of you chew through queues. It's impressive.

Still playing/watching more DOTA2 than anything else. Also fell down a PC retro hole trying out old CDs of mine (namely magic carpet and crusader). Still confident I can finish FF3 this month while playing lots of Saturn Sega Rally and DOTA2.

Considering an all Retro PC (crusader, magic carpet, C&C, LucasArts) queue for June but there is so much current gen to clear out before next xbox/PS4!

Update

So this month I'm playing:
White Knight Chronicles I
White Knight Chronicles II
Thomas was alone
Catherine
Okami HD

Technically it's an August game, but I'll count it for May out of desperation, 2 to go.

Beat the target and then some.

Binary Domain - Entertaining cutscenes and satisfying gunplay
Tomb Raider - Extremely atmospheric and fun to play
Bioshock Infinite - Amazing story and mindblowing ending
Super Metroid - First playthrough, truly a timeless masterpiece

The only thing to do now is figure out what to play next.

Saints Row The Third
Rhythm Heaven Fever
Ghost Recon Shadow Wars.

Picked 1 per device for device, but I'll probably just end up playing more Killing Floor and Civ.

Injustice: Gods Among Us
Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past
God of War: Ascension

Finished up with Injustice earlier today. Pretty much had said before I would consider it beaten after finishing story mode, all 24 character's battle mode, and three starring all of the STAR Labs missions. Just finished my last two battle modes earlier today, and also had done Lobo's as well. Still will likely be playing this game with all the DLC coming out, but consider it beaten now.

Now onto God of War: Ascension.

I'm super busy at work so I don't know if I'll be able to get 3 done.

But in saying that here is my list -

- God of War III - About 1/3 through my first playthrough, have been for a year...
- Tomb Raider (New game)
- Dishonored

Given I'm travelling I might try and finish up Disgaea 3 on my Vita, I'm very close to the end of my first playthrough, but I'm obviously nowhere near finishing it completely.

Update -

Finished God of War 3 with the Platinum trophy, feels good. :D

I finished the story mode of Disgaea 3 and did a heap of grinding, still only around 45% trophies complete so far, but I'm putting this one away for only when I'm travelling or can't play my consoles.

Bought and finished the two Sleeping Dogs DLC story addons while they were on sale, completed them both to get my trophies to 100%. :D

Started Tomb Raider last night, enjoying it so far, but the missable trophies are stressing me out while playing, hopefully I can knock those over soon and just relax and enjoy the game.

Update! Added two more games that weren't originally on my list. =/

PS1:
Echo Night
Clock Tower
Tecmo's Deception
Silent Bomber
Jersey Devil
Powerslave
Pinobee
The Divide: Enemies Within
Alundra (replay)

GBA:
Astro Boy: Omega Factor

3DS:
Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon
Adventure Time: Hey Ice King? Why'd you steal our garbage?!!
Gunman Clive

PS3:
Ni-no-Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch
Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time
Guacamelee

PC/Steam:
Zeno Clash
Zeno Clash II
Ys Chronicles+

Ys Chronicles+: Just finished Ys I on Nightmare for the umpteenth time. I think this is actually my 4th or 5th playthrough and it's the 3rd time I've beaten it on Nightmare. I just now might finally be sick of Darm Tower and its ridiculous bosses (the final boss can seriously fuck off). Love the first game still. Great PC version, probably the best way to experience old school Ys. Got all Achievements but one and it's the Time Attack which shouldn't be too hard if the final boss doesn't fuck me over randomly. Can't wait to jump into Ys II again and then replay and see the other characters in Origins. Ys I & II combined with Origins is pretty essential gaming.

Gunman Clive: Bought this awhile ago, finished it in an hour or so while watching some TV one night, lol! Actually, this was a really neat, simple 2D platformer. Game took some inspirations from Mega Man towards the end. I got a handful of the Par Time Stars and No Damage icons for some stages too. I liked it enough to go for the rest at some point, but there's no rush right now.

Just got a random call from my boss today asking me if I wanted to return to work earlier than expected. I'm not really in a position anymore to deny money/work so I said yes. Looks like my fun summer of catching up on games is going to end prematurely, lol! I definitely won't be finishing 10+ games like I have this month moving forward. It was fun while it lasted though!

Finished Little Big Adventure 2. It was a fun, silly, rather innocent title with some nice puzzles. The combat could've been more fun, but overall I enjoyed it.

Somehow acquired The Feeble Files on GOG, so I'm going to give that a go. I have absolutely no recollection of ever buying it though.

Update!

PS1:
Echo Night
Silent Bomber
The Divide: Enemies Within
Jumping Flash
Jersey Devil
Powerslave
Clock Tower
Tecmo's Deception
Pinobee
Alundra (replay)

GBA:
Astro Boy: Omega Factor

3DS:
Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon
Adventure Time: Hey Ice King? Why'd you steal our garbage?!!
Gunman Clive

PS3:
Ni-no-Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch
Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time
Guacamelee

PC/Steam:
Zeno Clash
Zeno Clash II
Ys Chronicles+

Jumping Flash: Got this in the mail today and finished it in one sitting. Loved it. I believe this was a launch game and for a 3D game that uses the d-pad only, game's got some tight/precise controls. I finished the game without losing any continues and unlocked a Super Mode and an Extra Mode (which is a somewhat harder arranged mode, apparently). I'll probably plow through those modes to see if there's anything else, but I've got Jumping Flash 2 coming in the mail shortly so I'm looking forward to checking out the sequel!

Silent Bomber: Finally, I finished it! Game got really hard towards the end and the final boss was NO JOKE. I don't think I've played a game in awhile where I have fought a legitimately difficult final boss. I slid by with C/D ranks the entire time and it looks like there are some more unlocks for getting S ranks, but I may shelf it for a bit before investing more time. Cool game, for sure. Still can't believe this was CyberConnect's second game next to Tail Concerto.

I've only got a week and some change left before the end of the month. I made some great progress this month, but I added/played more stuff than I initially planned. Gotta clean up some more of these PSone games. =D

I have such a hard time progressing in games, is it only me? :(

I completed the first level of Luigi's Mansion 2 this morning and immediately stopped and haven't returned to it since.

I'm thinking of just doing a completely insane marathon for a week and just play without many breaks - of course I also have to have time for my girlfriend so that plan probably won't last. I at least want to complete Luigi's Mansion 2 by Sunday.
I heavily recommend blocking out a good 5 hours one day and just powering through a game. It took that to finally break my disinterest in console games and get back on the wagon. I was so unbelievably disinterested for the first couple hours, but then the switch flipped in my head. Now I play them whenever I can!

As for myself, I'll give an update on my progress after this weekend. It's been great sailing!

- Tales of the Abyss - 21 hours in now, but I have no clue how much more I have left. could be anywhere between 20-40 hours at least.
- Fez - Just picked this up on Steam and it should be ready for me to play later tonight.
- FFIII - I have the DS version and I want to play through and beat it.

Extras:
- Arkham Asylum/City
- Monaco
- Saint Row: The Third

I finally finished Tales. It wasn't bad, but it isn't the best Tales game I've played. Decent enough story and all, but a ton of backtracking and visiting the same places over and over again. The world just felt really small and I think it's because
you get the Tartarus/Albiore so early it seems and have access to almost everything fairly quickly.
I may pick it up again later to run through new game+, but I'm sure if I do, it won't be for a long time.

I should probably finish up Fez, though that may mean I cheat and look up a few of the more cryptic solutions. I'm not planning on making my three this month. Bummer.

I beat F-Zero GX earlier this month, as well as the first two Castlevanias more recently.

GX is amazing. It baffles me how much you have both a sense of speed and a sense of great control. Even though I managed to make it through the story, I still haven't been able to beat emerald cup, or any cup above normal, lol. I had a blast with it though.

Castlevania was a great time too. Hard to get used to the fixed jumping, but it's doable. Loved the difficulty curve; always felt fair but challenging. I hated the first part of the final level, but luckily it was short. Took me forever on the last boss to realize I could only hit the second form in the face. I knew he was too resilient. Of course Death was tough, not sure if I could do that one again; felt like I had to get a little lucky.

Simon's Quest wasn't as bad as I was expecting. It would be nice if they gave item descriptions, and night wasn't a thing, and villagers actually helped. But reading online what the items did made it fun enough. Finding better whips and new subweapons was nice, but the action was lacking for sure. The bosses in particular were like some sort of bad joke. Like, really?

I've been feeling pretty unmotivated lately... but hopefully I'll finish up Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance, Shadow of the Colossus, and Dracula's Curse all this month too.

Earth Seeker, lol! I'm actually dying to know more about that game. As mediocre as it's made out to be, I would have played the balls out of it if it ever came out in NA.

working on earth seeker to see if i can get my japanese wii stuff done before i head back to dallas. it's going kind of slow because the kanji is so damn small and hard to read. game looks really nice and the character designs are pretty rad.

I didn't sign up but so far this month I've beaten,

DmC
The Bully
Wolverine

Should be done with Tomb Raider Saturday night if not, Sunday evening.

Far Cry Blood Dragon will be after that, then Bioshock infinite or Metro.

So 6 in may for me lol and I started last week.

Corpse Party
Corpse Party: Book of Shadows.
Hitman Absolution
Hunted: The demon's forge
Theatrythm: Final fantasy.
Fire Emblem: Awakening
Persona 3
Persona 4 Arena (story)
Atelier Rorona
Hyperdimension Neptunia 1

Done with Hyperdimension Neptunia.

Will probably continue with some Resident Evil (1, 2 , 3). Already played 4 a while ago.

Beat Majora's Mask and Cave Story+. Won't have time to finish P4Arena this month if it's as long as I heard it is and I haven't even started Story mode yet. I got the credits rolling after beating Arcade mode but I don't think that counts.

Did beat LEGO Lord of the Rings though which I bought because it was dirt cheap during Amazon's sale.

It's been tough making progress this month. Between work and Borderlands 2 being a lot longer than I anticipated, I finally just got through my first game. I could try and beat Alice before the end of the month, but I might just play Donkey Kong in the meantime.

May:

  • Borderlands 2
  • Alice: Madness Returns
  • Dissidia 012 Final Fantasy

Nice! I still would have loved to have played this. Game reminded me a bit of Tokobot on PSP/PS2. Also, gave me a small Megaman Legends vibe, although I do know that it's more Monster Hunter-like, from what I've seen, but with more exploration? I remember seeing videos of the game and they were showcasing some cool Museum-like feature. Is that some sort of collection room for all the stuff you gathered in the game? I've always liked stuff like that. Really wished I could have played the game despite how mediocre most have claimed it to be. It looked totally up my alley.

Carry-over from last month:
Ratchet and Clank: A Crack in Time

New this month:
Bayonetta
Super Mario Galaxy 2
Final Fantasy XIII-2

Added partway into the month:
Super Metroid
What a fantastic month this has been! I added Super Metroid when it came out, as I've never played the game before. True classic. Starting Galaxy 2 to round out my efforts for May!

I don't think I'm gonna make it. I'm about to finish one of my three(Soul Hackers)... but 2 more games before the end of May is looking less and less likely.

So stopped trying for ES at this point as I was getting burnt out with that UI.

Tried Dishonored, not sure I like it.

Now working on Dark Souls PC. Gaming ADD strikes again!

You land on this planet and this old lady name Rose asks you find artifacts that represent the heritage of her people. These are the works of art and such and there is a tower where you put all the stuff you find. It really isn't very much like monster hunter. You target enemies pull up a menu and select attacks. It's all fairly automated aside from the roll. You do take jobs with the intent of finding a specific item though so it is kind of MHish in that regard. I'm going to play of it tonight and I should get a better sense of how it works.

Finished Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon today. I liked it; it was well put together, but I wasn't enamored with it. After a while I ended up getting tired of hunting gems/boos/3-star medals so I just blazed on through. I'd like to revisit and 100% it someday. Maybe try the multiplayer.

I'd planned on cruising through the rest of Pixeljunk Shooter today too...but couldn't bring myself to take the TV away from SyFy's D-tier monster movie marathon. (Supergator, Dinocroc vs. Supergator, Sharktopus and Piranhaconda. w-o-w)

FEZ
Dust: An Elysian Tail
The Bridge

Done for the month. All three were great, too.

Injustice: Gods Among Us
Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past
God of War: Ascension

Done with God of War: Ascension now.

Will be starting one of Oracle of Ages/Seasons tomorrow, but doubt I'll have one done before the month is up, so those will probably have to go for June. Met the goal for May though, so no rush on them.

Theatrythm: Final fantasy.
Fire Emblem: Awakening
Persona 3
Persona 4 Arena (story)
Atelier Rorona
Hyperdimension Neptunia 1
Resident Evil 1 - 3

Alright, finished Resident Evil 1 - 3. Those 3d graphics haven't aged that well. Still, it was fun. Now I'm looking forward to the more recent games. Will finish up with a bit of dabbling in dota 2.
