I remember the viral video being played in class demonstrating that a war tyrant in Africa was abducting children and creating armies out of nothing. A lot of people cared about the cause but the momentum kind of died and Africa is still behind while other countries are progressing. Who here remembers KONY and his resistance ARMY and what's the next big viral movement to take place?

Surrender of Ongwen and other recent events[edit]
Ongwen served as a key member of the LRA and constituted one of Kony's senior aides in the organization. Himself kidnapped as a child, he started as a mere soldier in the LRA, then rose through the organizations's hierarchy, and now stands accused of numerous war crimes. Ongwen surrendered himself to representatives of the CAR in January 2015, which was a major blow to Kony's group. Ugandan army spokesman Paddy Ankunda stated that the event "puts the LRA in the most vulnerable position" and that it "is only Kony left standing." Of the five LRA commanders charged by the ICC in 2004, only Kony remained at large at that time. With only a few hundred fighters remaining loyal to him, it was thought that he would be unable to evade capture for much longer.[34]

In April 2017, Ugandan and US military forces ended their hunt for Kony and his group, with a Ugandan spokesperson stating that "the LRA no longer poses a threat to us as Uganda".[25] At that time, his force was estimated to have shrunk to around 100 soldiers.[25]

I think it was a government psyop to test the viability of the internet for political propaganda, it's clear Jason Russell was drugged with something, probably LSD, which is why he was jackin' it in San Diego, because the point was never military intervention in Africa, the point was just to test to see if a viral video could make people support military intervention in Africa and the Russell thing was to quiet the actual fervor down and make people forget.

The whole thing was so creepy, I mean after years of "liberals" decrying the Iraq war you suddenly had liberal support for a war in Africa of all places? The whole thing was so fishy.

And you'll notice it cropped up around the time social media activism was really taking flight.

And once again, the whole Jason Russell jackin' it in San Diego proves something really bizarre was going on, you don't do that because of "stress", he had to have been drugged.

I remember Skweezy jibbs talking about Kony and how people thought they made a difference by sharing info about all of this, to enlighten us of the horrible acts of Kony. The video was funny as hell, and poignant when it comes to the depravity of social media, but it has sadly been taken down.
