That 90 FoV sure does look good...
If there was only a way to add an FoV slider on console...
I guess not. Time to kill isn´t much higher in TF2 than it is in CoD.
You´d be better off playing something like Destiny, which has a very high time to kill in PvP.
I don't know how much this will affect the TTK in Titanfall 2, but in Titanfall the movement increased the effective TTK. And don't forget the titans. They have a high TTK.

Maybe but from what I played of the demo it does feel like I don't have time to respond to attacks. And the titans take a Long time to come. Too bad there isn't a Titan only mode, it's unfair since there's a pilot only mode.
TTK in Titanfall 2 is not drastically different from Titanfall, certain weapons are slightly faster though. And there is Last Titan Standing in the final game.
My understanding is that mode you don't respawn with a Titan, what I mean is like a mode where you play almost exclusively with Titans, essentially making it a mecha game.
Why would I be hype for another on-rails AAA "cinematic" FPS campaign? I'm so done with that. Unless they can have non-linear firefights with seamless gameplay in and out of titans in place of "epic" setpieces I'll pass.
It'd help if you read up about the game at least before spewing crap about it. The game is meant to be large sandbox areas between set piece moments.
Is anyone going PC or is that likely not a worthwhile purchase (because of player base drying up)?
LMAO pretty much everyone I know feels this way and wont be surprised if other other will feel the same once they try the infinite warfare beta. Battlefield 1 is still same old battlefield with a new coat and the people who can afford MWR at $100 more power to you. I cant wait for TF2 and would be devastated if they delayed it. I totally agree withe the other gaffer who said this game is gonna have so many LTTP threads lol.I was the most excited for Titanfall 2. Then the beta was like "meh". It was all right. Not great. Then I was like "time for Battlefield 1 to blow me away!" Then it was just...not what I wanted. Then it was time for Call of Duty! And from look of beta thread...I'm nervous. I'm going to play that today. So now I'm back to super excited for Titanfall 2.
If there are plot only modes then there should most definitely also be titan only modes.
Maybe it's something that they can patch in later.
What last titan standing pretty much is a mech only mode.It seems like a no brainer and you could pull in the Mecha fanbase like me.
But the Developers probably won't because they see Titanfall as a shooter that just happens to have mechs, and not a mech game.
You jump on that bandwagon you rebel you!
Someone more clever than me needs to come up with a funny and ironic OP title thread using this ridiculous "but the beta" bandwagon
the beta was straight fucking garbage.
I'm not hyped because I thought the beta sucked.
I enjoyed TF1 much more than the bland-ass beta.
Besides, it's barely unique post-BLOPS3 and graphically outdated next to BF1.
I've completely written it off, despite loving the first game, because of the foolish time they've chosen to release it.
Can anybody shed some details on why? I skipped the beta, but was looking forward to release. What's the story here on why beta killed the game?
I don't know man.Titanfall is still unique even after all the copycats because those are barely imposters in terms of movement mechanics, and the infantry - mech relationship is still not recreated by any other game. And in Titanfall 2 the movement mechanic is being further refined, and the pilot - titan synergy is still there.
People who played the first felt that this new one hindered pilot/titan movement and removed customization of the Titans. Typically those who never played the first game didnt have a problem with the beta, based off replies Ive seen here on neogaf
still got the hype here
im like 90% done writing up the OT
waiting for embargo to end (sometime this week?)
I don't know man.
I think TF1 still holds up, but TF2 doesn't feel nearly as special/unique to me.
I never played 1 but some of my biggest complaintsCan anybody shed some details on why? I skipped the beta, but was looking forward to release. What's the story here on why beta killed the game?
amped hard point was a terrible game mode that rewarded camping
What are you guys talking about? LTS is abosolutely in the game and you still spawn in a Titan, and Titan combat is still the only thing that matters.

You guy really need to watch these video as these represent the game in its current state and likely what you are playing at launch, the tech test is not representing the Titanfall 2 experience any more.

Ps4 Pro patch maybe?
I never played 1 but some of my biggest complaints
- map design was garbage, 2 out of the 3 maps didn't encourage Parkour at all
- amped hard point was a terrible game mode that rewarded camping
- weapon balance was blegh
- time to kill was way too fast
- grapple hook was really slow and glitchy
Actually, I played TF2 first! Didn't like it at all as I said before. Then I played TF1 and understood what the initial fuss was about. So yeah, I really think they messed up the initial appeal for the sequel.Because you have seen Titanfall 1.
The Beta fucking sucked. I'm gonna wait until I can get it for $20 or so, it's destined for a huge bomba drop after release.

Yep, I can confirm that it's there.
Stay tuned this coming week for a ton of new stuff.
I liked what I played during the tech test, but I can understand why some who played the first one wouldn't. That said, Respawn has already changed a lot, which was shown during the last PC capture event (same event where they showed Attrition). It was shown that moving fast was, again part of the game (definitely faster than the tech test), and that red glow isn't as bright.
I think the major gripe at this point is the third-person view when entering a Titan, which isn't that big of a deal (at least to me).
We have another interview with Respawn about Titanfall 2, which I think will be ready by this coming week! Lots of stuff discussed.![]()
What if they've made major and subtle changes since then? It was a beta.
