Double week to week sales, that's what they track.
Anyone who read the article can tell it was sales for the week , they even state the split between the TF bundle and non TF bundles.
Double week to week sales, that's what they track.
Wow, 3:1?
Really puts this in perspective.
The eye-catching £399 Xbox One Titanfall bundle, which includes a download token of the game, accounted for over 70 per cent of all Xbox One hardware sold last week.
This is good news for Microsoft.
Aaaaaand.
This is horrible news for Microsoft.
Good, because... well... the console is selling more and the game is working as a killer application.
Horrible, because they are actually creating a fan base on a game they do NOT own and which most probably will end up (maybe even in a better shape) on the concurrent console (that is, PS4, you know).
All in all, a very delicate situation for Microsoft.
Depends what the numbers were before.
Given that we've heard PS4 was outselling it 3:1, it's still not ahead of that.
Exactly. We don't know, so saying it's not a large bump is nonsense.
It's a pretty big bump. It's 4% off doubling the sales.

96% increase, how does this compare in actual numbers to PS4?

Not as big a bump as I thought.
In the UK? I heard the XboxOne outsold the Ps4 last week in the UK.
You are crazy. Now apply this bump to US and February numbers: Xbox One would come at ~550k in March.
Extremely impressive if it happens in the US as well.

TitanFall or PriceFall boosts sales?

I think they'll try to buy permanent exclusivity (and fail), and I think they're otherwise banking on the Mass Effect effect, even though the situation is much different this time and it probably won't happen. But yeah, I guess people may associate the brand with the console, much like they did with franchises that were previously exclusive to the 360 and Call of Duty...
Clearly both since 70% of XB1 consoles sold were the Titanfall bundle.
this is a significant bump
not majority exponential but meaty
No PAL charts this week?
Well its not really "just" a average single game.. Microsoft hyped the game up to be the "saviour" of the xbox one and the future "cod".
Heh, the "Mass Effect Effect" worked because that game has a plot spreading along its various chapters.
The same can't be completely true for a game like TitanFall.
Whatever the total is it might be the first week xbox one outsold ps4 here, as many dtores are just getting stock back in of ps4.
That this has been given as a percentage and not a concrete sales figure speaks volumes.
96% is a good jump no matter how you spin it considering how bad ps4 was outselling the XO. More sales equals more competition which equals better services for the consumer end. I like it.

For those who where wondering about that.Titanfall being 2x and more FIFA14 Week 1 = 125,000+ units between One and PC.
I think it was just last minute measure to secure a AAA exclusive, not that it was ever intended to be MS's new MO.Oh I agree, I don't think either of the things Microsoft is hoping for/banking on will pan out. Buying exclusivity rather than developing your own content is rarely a great strategy as far as I'm concerned.
Where?
Its hard to overstate the importance of Titanfall to the Xbox One release this year, says Yusuf Mehdi, chief marketing and strategy officer for Microsofts devices and studios. For us, its a game changer. Its a system seller.
No! Eating into the each other's marketshare equals more competition, if both are on track to sell 100 million then what's to stop both of them getting complacent? Why bother fighting for consumer dollars when all software splits are 50/50 etc etc.
