Can you get EXP to level up by re-playing story missions? Like if your friend is a few missions behind you and you replay them together do you get exp?

LOL, that's me restarting uplay and coming online every few seconds (sorry about that) because I see people on my friends list playing and the game still doesn't unlock for me! I NEED IT!

Yeah, I figure like most games they'll be nice to have at the start but easily outclassed after a few hours in. Nice to know I have them waiting for me so I can ditch the MP5 it appears you start with. Always preferred ARs/DMRs over SMGs.

Marco posted a great video today that breaks down ranking up. Once you play the mission the first time, you no longer get xp. You replay the mission to get better loot.

I do think it is a bit odd with the current climate of police shootings and such in the US. I can suspend my disbelief easily enough while playing but I'm not surprised it's raising a few eyebrows to have a game where a government spec ops agent is deployed in a US city and shoots people in hoodies who were civilians scrounging for supplies.

Weird, I remember grinding the hospital mission hard mode back in the beta to reach level 8 from 7.

There isn't, it's just a rumour.
 
Played for an hour or so before and my first impressions are positive. Game looks fantastic with the environments having insane amounts of detail. Its drip feeding things at a decent pace. I'm going to stop now though as my friends aren't getting this till tomorrow so I don't want to push to far ahead level and gear wise.

Only really lame thing is the lack of character variety choices when making them. Especially considering the variety in terms of equipment.
 
Ahhhhh, I'm so tempted to get this, but the gunplay in the beta just really didn't do it for me. I also don't really want a game-y Destiny type grind, but the setting and everything else is so cooool. Hopefully impressions start hitting soon.
 
Yea the faces are terrible. Destiny didn't give much choice but at least your character looked cool. Very disappointed in that.
 
I can't checkout of the Playstation Store! It's infuriating. I wanted the game to download while I was at work, but I can't seem to do that. There's a weird glitch where-in I can almost checkout, but the page just flickers and I can never confirm my purchase.

I've tried on 3 browsers and mobile. Same issue. Great. Thanks, Obama.
 
Boss said I can go home early as long as I ran an errand for work. She sent me to the DMV... There's a 2 hour wait... That's when I'd be off normally...

Central US, it started downloading stuff and ready to play. I imagine I can get it ready but servers aren't live yet. Who knows.

I'm not sure if that means replaying a mission at a higher difficulty for the first time doesn't give XP, but yes replaying a mission will not give you XP but better loot. Don't worry, there's heaps of stuff to get you leveled up.
 
Wow apparently I had the gold version preordered for a long time. Hilarious. I had no recollection of preordering, but that's annoying bc I wanted to play tonite

A friend was having the same issue. Have you tried buying in-private session? He said it worked for him

Ouch, holy shit that's harsh. OT, the OP for this thread is awesome and is starting to build back up the hype. I want to buy this badly, but will wait for impressions first from you guys. Please be good!
