First - Do This
So first thing, everyone check out Servbot's 2013 Album of the Year Voting thread. Read! Contribute! Discuss! The more the merrier.

Seeing as the 2013 album of the year lists are starting to pop up, I figured putting them all into a single thread would be preferable to the Pitchfork thread that always seems to devolve into hipster hating.

Only posting the top 10, click the links to see the rest.

So here we go...

More on topic, Gorilla vs. Bear posted a Top 40 list yesterday. Agreed with a lot, disagreed with a lot. Kind of like with most lists, right?

01 AUTRE NE VEUT | Anxiety
02 DANNY BROWN | Old
03 JULIANNA BARWICK | Nepenthe
04 BURIAL | Truant / Rough Sleeper (2012)
05 ONEOHTRIX POINT NEVER | R Plus Seven
06 EJECTA | Dominae
07 BLUE HAWAII | Untogether
08 DIANA | Perpetual Surrender
09 JAI PAUL | leaked demos
10 FKA TWIGS | EP2

And here I thought most critics trashed Yeezus. Glad I'm not the only one who liked it. Industrial Kanye is just good. Shit lyrics or not.

Sol..

I am Wayne Brady.
Finally. It's nice to see Autre Ne Veut getting some attention

it's on plenty of lists even the 2013 best albums thread. What gets me is how those same people can not have Inc. at least somewhere near by on the list. Gotta remember those borderline 2012-2013 jammy jams people!!

It won't happen but it would be hilarious if Ye finally won the AOTY grammy for Yeezus.

The meltdowns would be glorious.

Disappointed in the lack of Chelsea Wolfe on those lists. It would have been nice to see some older artists like Alice in Chains, Gary Numan and Filter make it onto some lists too. They may not have been career bests but they all released solid albums this year.

Chelsea Wolfe's new album is really good. I was also surprised to not see it on many lists.

On that tip, even though the Depeche Mode and Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark albums weren't stellar, the Pet Shop Boys' Electric was totally rad. A bit distressing to not see it pop up where I expected it might. :(
