It can be had for a song nowadays, and it's well worth the time to try it out for yourself. Just don't be afraid to go ahead and use guns in the combat scenarios if you have to; I still prefer the hand-to-hand action.

But the senses of flow and momentum are still nigh unmatched by any game I've played in the past few years.

I saw a trailer for GT3 with cars racing around a track, and then the guy stopped and switched his engine off to look at the view.
For some reason that trailer made me part-ex over £1000 worth of Dreamcast stuff to get a PS2 with GT3.
Afterwards I missed my Dreamcast, so yeah... big mistake.
 
The FFX trailer was so amazing to me that I not only bought the game, I bought a PS2 so that I could play it. The game did not dissapoint.

Of course but seeing NO games before 2000 almost? I mean trailers can be good, if I don't like what I see of the game what's the point?

If Gears of War trailer is artistic, costs a lot and is made by a great director its cool but it doesn't change that this game is absolutely not interesting and never piqued my interest.

Fuck, man. Too bad Valve didn't create the Halo IP. The story and presentation, at the very least, would have never gone to shit.

I saw a COD4 trailer showing how perks worked. I got up, got in my car and went and bought it. I was not disappointed. I played that game so damned much.....
