Agreed. Orton is as big as he's ever going to be, he doesn't need to "re-establish" himself especially after Dolph Ziggler got beat 4 TIMES the night before. Dolph Ziggler should've been the one getting a clean, dominant win over someone on Raw to prove he's not a complete loser.

I disagree. Ziggler is the guy who makes everyone around him look good. That's his job. When Dolph starts jobbing to Funkasarus, then you get worried, not losing to WWE champions and top tier performers.

Well since he already has five moves of doom.

  1. Kick to temple
  2. Running knee in corner
  3. Bulldog
  4. GTS
  5. Anaconda Vice

Baby we just found the new Superman.

Isn't 1 his swinging neckbreaker? I usually seem him do that then he does the rest of the sequence.

edit:also his macho man elbow drop is usually in his sequence too.

Well whatever he still is doing the Superman gimmick and notice how very rarely they bring up his straight edge lifestyle, kinda when Cena won the belt from JBL the thuganomics gimmick was virtually phased out apart from odd mention.

Are we really doing this?

Everyone in WWE has 'five moves of doom.' Bret Hart pretty much invented it, the likes of Shawn Michaels, Steve Austin and The Rock perpetuated it. It's been the WWE style for over two decades. I know we're all upset that CM Punk abandoned his previous two moves of doom - cut a great promo, get pinned - but really, we're getting carried away.

Having a comeback routine scares people into thinking they will see Cena 2.0, the funny thing is such actions rarely win matches (Cena included), Orton successfully pulling of his moves of doom and the following finisher on Raw actually surprised me.

Luckily Hulk Hogan never had five moves of doom, The Hulkster pretty much had 40 different moves each match.

the Grantland Network wrasslin' podcast is pretty good. The latest one had a Royal Rumble recap, but more importantly they talked to a former WWE writer who shed some light on Vince, HHH, Stephanie and how things work backstage.

I didn't say that because I was worried, simply because the match wasn't needed. Orton isn't going to get any bigger. This is the peak of his popularity in his current form. He doesn't need to "re-establish" himself. Actually, the more interesting story would've been giving him a "warm up" match with someone like Health Slater, (who doesn't get credit for his selling), who everyone figures Orton is going to dominate, which he does, until Slater hits him in the back and Orton begins cringing and selling the injury. That way you humanize Orton and give people a reason to rally behind him aside from being DAH APEX PREDATOR OMG. That also gives Barrett fuel for the next show to point out how long it took Orton to beat Slater, how hurt he is, and how "he shouldn't have come back so early...or at all."

Of course, this is all assuming that they didn't have what was basically a blow off match 4 days later on Smackdown, and would actually try to build to the Elimination Chamber without outright giving the match away. So yeah, just keep beating Ziggler because he "makes people look good." Good luck when they finally give him a top title and nobody cares.

Damn son, you make it sound like he's on a John Morrison like losing streak. Dude loses to two of the best guys in the company and now he's a "complete loser".

OK. When he gets the title only to be Del Rio'd by Punk, Cena, or Orton a few weeks later because everyone and their momma changes the channel when he's on TV, remember where you heard it first.

I'd be shocked if any casual fan didn't think of Ziggler as a loser. He lost his title to a geek in the middle of the worst angle ever, squeaks by Punk for weeks, Ace overshadowed him in the angle, got beat 4 times in one match, did nothing in the Rumble, lost to Orton on Raw. I mean, c'mon. WE like him because he's talented, but the Jimmies don't see that. They see a guy who maybe has potential to be good, but is ultimately a loser. Ziggler doesn't look like a legitimate threat to anyone.

It's a shame it's so infrequent though. Really would like it to be a weekly, even biweekly show.

I love his rage-filled promos; "YOU'LL NEVER BEAT THE STRONGMAN, BECAUSE HE'S JUST TOO DAMN STRONG!!!! RRAAAAAAAAARRGH!!!!!"

Uhaa Nation's probably my favourite big guy at the moment;

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BpEgsFqHfaM

No way should a guy that size be able to do a standing SSP.

I was at Uhaa's DGUSA debut in Indianapolis last September. He was just a guy who showed up for their tryouts that day. My buddy and I looked at him and wrote him off as a generic big guy, then the match started. His throws are really good. He says he is a big Kurt Angle and he who shall not be named fan. Then he busted out the standing moonsault and ssp.
Since then he's absolutely exploded on the Indy scene. I see big things in Uhaa's future. He's a nice dude, great wrestler, and physically does things he shouldn't be able to do. I'm a member of the Uhaa Fan Nation.

Actually Cena and Orton when they hit them all in a row you know they are winning the match and has been the case for a long time.

You know, I never asked. What is this waifu nonsense?

I think it all happened before I came here first, but it seems like it was agreed that certain divas were the favourites of certain posters. Now whenever that diva is around, they talk about their designated poster accordingly.

It all seems rather business like.

I have no fucking clue what "waifu" comes from, but it seems like it means your favourite female in media of some sort.

I would also like to announce my divorce from my former wrasslin waifu Natalya.....

My new Wrasslin Waifu is Alicia Fox......

That is all...

I wounder what Cena is gonna do the night after his big Mania win.

I guess the rock will be there to give a "I still dont like you..... but I respect you now" speech.

Saying he wants to fight for the title again seems like it would be a bit ehhhhhhh.

Dude works his ass off so I would like to think that maybe he will say he wants to take some time off to be with his family and heal up and all that stuff. He can be back for the summer.

Maybe say he wants to fight taker next year..... seems like the logical next step for both guys and a good pick for takers big 20th mania.

Cena's going to turn heel at Wrestlemania and screw the rock...that why the Rock still looks strong, and Cena wins without going cleanly over.

I don't know why those idiots on youtube hate Spin. He's not a bad guy, he won the nwa royal rumble. He is a famous heel.

I don't get it at all.

I still believe Spin's feet touched the floor and that I should be the Royal Rumble winner.
I agree with this......and I demand a performance review of the ref that keeps screwing us over....

Also....

Alicia may be a botcher.....but she's sooooooo cute with that hat that she wears to the ring

^_^

Dude you really don't have to front like that. It's cool man, nobody is going to judge you.

Right?
Look, I get what it means, but I'm not big on anime so I don't know where it comes from.

Come on, I'm not one of those guys that's into that stuff. Really.

No, really.

What the hell are you all looking at?

You're gonna need all the excuses you can muster once we face off.

really?

so his 20th and probably final match is gonna be HHH?

(googles to make sure)

FUCK YOU HUNTER!

Now I am actually annoyed at HHH vs Taker 3.

With the talent available it should be Kane.

That young up and comer needs a 3rd match with a Taker. There's no one else available that needs this push more than him. Why have Kane or anyone else when Triple H so clearly deserves it!
