Real talk, let's be honest, none of us really think he's retiring (at least not without one final match,) and even if he did, he'd be retiring in order to become Vince fucking' McMahon. It's not exactly heartbreaking.
As much good and as much blood, sweat, and tears he's produced over the years, his career has almost always had some kind of privilege to it, from his relationship with the Kliq, to the fact that, yes, he married the boss's daughter. It's a stigma that I myself know isn't always fair to hold him to, but one you can never fully dismiss either.
Let me put it this way: Triple H deserves praise. But worship? Nah. No more than any other man anyway. Triple H should be content to be the Arn to Shawn's Flair. Arn Anderson is massively respected and loved. No, he was never the guy, but Arn was content not to be the guy. Arn had his niche and he did it better than almost anyone. Instead, for a while now it's been one long blowjob that HHH has been giving himself.
Instead of just gracefully resigning himself to being a fairly big player during the Attitude Era, it feels like he's the kind of guy that when people are listing their favorites - Austin, the Rock, Mankind, the Undertaker - he just has to pop in and go "AND ME DON'T FORGET ME"

Triple H Was always my favorite. I remember going to a show and being the only one who cheered for him in the stands. And this was when he was heel champion back in 2003.
It was one of those shows where they trolled the fans by having him "lose the belt" then came back a couple seconds after with some lame excuse why it was a DQ and he kept it. The entire arena erupted in boos while I was celebrating. I even got popcorn and drinks thrown at me for it. Made me feel like I was in the ring
