Trophies coming to Pixel Junk Monsters

don't bother, patch sucks. Hardcore isn't even hard, trophies not co-op, and the upgrade/sell menu thing is so annoyingly late you must be used to the original mode.

The patch makes Encore easier, thats all I need.

I'm in the US and the patch won't appear. I load the game and it goes into the game like normal. No update to be found.

Oh okay I'm not alone. I have Encore btw if that makes a difference.
 
I had Pixel Junk Monsters since it came out but never played it, so needless to say I didn't buy the encore pack yet. With the trophy patch up and now installed I went on the PSN and grabbed the Encore pack cause I knew I'd be playing the fuck outta this now...

Thing is it won't let me install the Encore pack, it's giving me some kinda "The game is upto date and this install is not needed" kinda message, but I can't play the Encore pack with out it being installed...

I'm guessing I just need to delete the patched PJM and then redownload it, install Encore and then get it all patched up to work. I guess this is more of a heads up if any of you don't have Encore yet grab it and install it before patching the game up...

The trophies are based off of new challenges, eg 'Complete this level without ever upgrading a tower', or 'Complete this level with no towers sold and all towers upgraded to black'. That kind of information was never stored in your save file before the patch.

And regardless, trophy patches are never retroactive unless its based on server-side stats.

Which includes autoupgrades as well. You dont have to let the towers upgrade themselves. I don't even know how am gonna do that :lol

Keep an eye on towers, and if one gets close to auto-upgrade then sell it off?

That trophy is one of the easiest.
Just sell towers when close to being upgraded.

I've got the first 8 trophies or so. (japanese version, patched for about a week)
 
I get a replacement PS3, re-download PJM Encore... it acts like I downloaded a demo wtf!?

When I d/l vanilla PJM it works fine with trophies and everything. :/

so you have to run through all your towers to see how far they are and sell them when they get to close to upgrading themselves.... okay.. doesn't sound THAT easy to be honest.. but i'll try :P

edit: and FUCK the fact that the trophies are not for co-op. some devs really take the wrong decisions when it comes to trophies (rockstar to).

You can just press L1 to see the upgrade meters on all towers.....

Not quite. Pressing L1 or L2 (don't remember exactly) shows you the status of all your towers. There is no need to check them individually.
 
Trophy No 2: 10,000 coins... tell me i'm missing something cause i've done 5 run throughs already trying to be extra conservative with my spendage and i'm nowhere near. Seems to depend on the total amount of coins/multiplier when finishing a wave.

What's the go here?
 
Anyone know if the US patch got delayed or something? I was really in the mood for some PJM... :/

are you buying the coin interest upgrades?
 
The patch still wasn't coming up 30 minutes ago, so I went ahead and deleted PJM from my PS3, and redownloaded the already-patched full game (+ the Encore patch) from the View Downloads list on the Store.

Worked like a charm. :D
 
coin interest updates... didn't even know about this. Prior to this patch I only played the first 7 levels (with 7 rainbows too I might add) ..so yeah thanks for the tip.

Challenge 4 is being arsy though... 25 gems i'm guessing a perfect clear is needed, which i've done. Only managed 23 gems though, including a hidden one in a tree. hmm.

why exactly didn't they do the patch right?

I did look at the Download list. Original PJM went from 60mb to 64mb and Encore went from 67mb to 100kb. ;o
 
OK, I just redownloaded the game and the patch is included in the fresh install.... now I feel stupid for not having the patch prompt annoy me... :lol

Since you redownloaded them... shouldn't that be the new one already?
Did you check?
 
No cop chalenges makes me sad. My wife sat down, got ready to play, then we went to challenges, and found out they were SP only and we looked at each other, and turned off PJM... :(

yeah, same here... we play this game togther.. now we take turns. :(

btw.. what are bombs?.. aren't that the cannonballs?.......
