What? Tara's character is annoying and her accent is terrible but the actress playing her is fucking gorgeous.

Her accent is actually really good. I'm around women every day that sound just like her.

As far her being annoying I suppose she is a bit bitchy, immature, and negative, with severe emotional hang ups, but then again it would only seem logical for her character to behave in such a fashion given every thing she's been through. Believe it or not people who are brought up in poverty and with a abusive drunken parents tend to have issues.

To me the character that is annoying is Sookie. To me she often behaves in a completely juvenile, irrational, and petty way. Her whole character seems like a giant stereotype of women as opposed to an actual female character. I don't think it's necessarily her fault as some times the writing of her character is just lacking.

Yes her accent really is good. She sounds like a black chick from the country. She actually sounds just like my wife's friend. I always joked with my wife that her friend sounds like Karl Malone with a vagina and to me that pretty much describes Tara's accent.

Holy crap, how can one show be so full of win, it has to defy the law of thermodynamics or something!!

They even managed to get me to be interested in the church plot this episode too now that we're starting to dispense with all of the annoying pretense of the characters involved with it.

The 1926 sequence was awesome (if anyone knows of any vampire literature - that doesn't suck - that takes place in that era that would be great, I can't think of any off hand). Not only that, but it was pretty freaking intense at the end of that sequence, seriously, the girl on the bed bleeding out!!! Geez!! So awesome.
