Don't think Revelations would still be posting in defense of himself if he'd just apologized and fixed his post rather than calling the people who clicked on the tag stupid, more or less (and laughing at them).

I think, going forward, it's pretty clear that there's a contingent of people in this thread who haven't read the books (and obviously who don't want to be spoiled), so maybe the people who have can keep that in mind before they post.

I dont feel I have too since no one else previously in the thread did so. It wasnt any different than anyone else past posts with a spoiler in it. Plus since Ive been posting in this thread for the last month no one took much attention to a posted spoiler tag with equally spoilerific contents. Much of this threads cast has been quite comfortable with posting spoilers without warning that differentiates the subject matter. So was my intentions as well.

I disagree.

At the very least, you're digging your heels over a minor issue(to you) and wasting everyone's time.
Sure no problem,
It was a instigated spoiler tag mind you, which I am sure will happen again with someone else. Guess I turned out to be the lucky one this time.

Hooooooly shit Jessica and Hoyt are so awesome together. (The episode overall was fantastic)

Oh, and this.

This thread got really shitty for a bit. Things this thread isn't about

1. Being some douchebag with access to unaired episodes and pretending that somehow makes you special

2. a book

3. ComicCon

What it is about

1. True Blood, airing on HBO

2. Nudity appreciation/requests/commentary

That orgy was about 20 times worse/better than what Kubrick shot with Eyes Wides Shut before the MPAA pissed on his grave.

Excellent episode last night! So glad to see the show get back on track after the last two dismal episodes. The story actually advanced this week!

The sex on the bloody bed was amazing! So gross, yet so awesome. My girlfriend actually got a little squeamish about that. I did ask myself a couple of questions about that scene though. Do Bill and Lorena go both ways? I ask because Bill came into the room with that fat dude, and Lorena was in bed with the chick. Also, why was Bill such a douchebag? He is a self loathing vampire, yet he was reveling in killing that woman and then getting it on with Lorena, as his victim died a slow death.

Also, happy to see that MaryAnn's story is finally going to yield some answers (hopefully in the next episode). This has been the most dragged out plot line ever.

One more note, Revelations has been a complete jerk about the spoiler thing. He obviously made a mistake, and a simple apology would suffice. I too was spoiled, and I'm not too happy about it.

what's the point of the Hoyt storyline? Is it just like a wink to fans like "hey, you can be a nerd and still live with your parents and read comic books and still get a hot vampire chick too".

Episode was meh overall but I liked the last 10 minutes or so

Great episode last night, lots of movement on all the various plot threads. Agree with everyone who says that Hoyt and Jessica are the best couple. They really need more than like 5 minutes each episode.

Does Sookie have no idea that Jason is with the crazy church people? I can't remember the last thing that happened between the two of them before he went there and she went w/ Bill to Texas.

Kinda pissed about those book spoilers too... pretty weak.

So this ep pretty much confirmed Mary Anne
is a Maenad
?

I wonder if Sam's girl was
turned as a shape shifter or was she faking being one.

What is the consensus on the Sookie sitch,
rescue by her brother
?

Didn't they fight about their uncle. What was it exactly that he did that Sookie hated him for anyway, I couldn't remember and it wasn't clear in any of the synopsis I read to refresh my memory between seasons.

Another great, great episode. I look forward to the next one. This is a great vampire story done well.

EWS contains digitally placed people as the sex scenes apparently showed too much. The orgy was neat and all, but it really didn't show anything. You got more tits/cock in watchmen... :/

anyhow, this is now easily my favourite show. go go HBO. ;)

The Euro version of EWS is unedited. There's no dong or anything. Really, that orgy last night was far more graphic.

If you'll remember, Jessica was not allowed to do "anything fun" by her overbearing father, like Hoyt and his overbearing mother.

It really has potential for great humor b/c they are both so socially and probably sexually awkward. I say that then watch Hoyt get killed by a jealous merman or elf.

That's right, I forgot about them fighting. I think their uncle had molested Sookie or something when she was little.

Well, I'm no expert (never read the books, just enjoying the show) but this scene took place a long, long time ago. Lorena made Bill and he followed her blindly. Plus, Jessica acted crazy with blood lust after she was turned and it looks like Bill went through a similar phase (fuck it, I'm a bad ass Vampire!). His current views on human-vampire relations only came relatively recently (as has the entire human-vampire-live-in-peace movement, i.e. mainstreaming). Bill is actually probably very ashamed and embarrassed about hist past behavior.

That's true. Bill probably wants nothing to do with Lorena. But that brings up another question. Why did Eric invite Lorena to Dallas? He wants Bill out of the way, but did he leak the fact that Sookie is a spy? So that Bill cannot rescue her? What else would Eric want Bill out of the way of? What is Eric up to?

Eric just wants Sookie for himself.

I can't see him being the source of the leak about Sookie, considering his loyalty to Godric and the fact that bringing Sookie to look for him was his idea in the first place. Still, I imagine that having Bill occupied and being able to save Sookie himself would go a long way to starting to shift her loyalties.

I don't think Eric leaked that Sookie was a spy, having her captured doesn't seem to help him find Godric.

The naked woman and pig that Tara saw on the road that night she was drunk were Maryann and Daphe right? So if Maryann can already shapeshift why does she have to go through all this trouble just to turn into a bull? Or is it because the Minotaur is a 'mythical creature?

Does Eric like Sookie or does he like like her?

I don't think Maryann is a shapeshifter at all, at the end of this episode they showed the bull head was just a helmet. She's not really an minotaur, although I have no explanation for the poison claws she was able to manifest a couple episodes ago.

That was a good episode but it wasn't as amazing as some of the episodes earlier this season. It seems like this episode and the one before it have been more set up episodes. I have to think that shit is going to hit the fan soon.

Also, while Jessica is an awesome new character and her pairing with Hoyt is interesting, it’s funny how people are proclaiming them the best couple when they've only had 2-3 scenes together. I'm sure people will complain about them as well when they start getting actual screen time together.

Andy: So, for the record, where were you all that time?
Lafayette: I was on a cruise.
Andy: A cruise? What kinda cruise?
Lafayette: A gay one.

I don't think the two things have anything to do with each other. He's just trying to break Bill and Sookie up by bringing in the another woman. I think her getting kidnapped was unrelated.

I get a fucking boner.

I'm not going to lie... wtf she is so amazing, I want a brainwashed religious gf.

To clarify a mistake made by another:

Spoilers from the Books and concerning Sookie's background that someone spilled.
Sookie does have fairy blood, but in the books this is not related to her telepathy! This is a plot development that starts to move from book 4 on to the current book. That's why she stands out to other supernaturals. That spoiler would be considered a season four spoiler.
:lol

Spoilers from the Books concerning Sookie and dating.
Sookie gets around. When she's not getting around she's in a love triangle/thing.

Question is, are we sure that's her? I wonder what the deal is, for example, with her manservant...

It's clear to me your intentions were good, even if the result was not so good, but I guess the question is whether being right is more important to you than getting along with others...

Can't believe the season is halfway over.

And holy fucking shit @ these cliffhangers. This is some damn fine television.

I have to say the church infiltration scenes were quite tense. Looking at Sookie and Hugo blow it little by little and how Steve and Sarah's thoughts were giving it away at the same time was pretty awesome. I liked the introduction of Hugo and his relationship with that vampire lady. I was really excited about what he was going to bring to the table, so it's upsetting that their mission ended so quickly. Steve's a douche. I'm glad Sarah's finally gonna let him go. He's a cutie though. Too many beautiful people in this show. Sookie, Daphne, Bill, Hoyt, Jessica, Hugo, Barry, Sam, Steve, Sarah, Jason, Jason's closeted friend. Lorena looked good only in the present. She looked ugly in the 20's. That blood scene was incredible. I wonder if this show is going to cause a resurgence in blood fetishists like Xena and Hercules caused a resurgence of centaur fetishists.

I love Hoyt and Jessica. They are sooooo cute. I hope anything ever happens to them :D
The orgy part was crazy as hell. The show keeps getting weirder and weirder :lol Too bad Daphne is evil now, I really liked her - and her goodies...

By the way, why are this season all the female leads so prude? No tits from any of the new girls, or Tara, or Maryanne... It's disappointing!

In response to Revelations: I didn't look at the spoiler thank goodness. I try to be careful with spoilers on this thread because of the books and such, but even then you are not following accepted NeoGAF spoiler etiquette.

http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=159418

Clarifying what your spoiler is actually spoiling is really helpful especially when it comes to something like True Blood that's based on a book. People around here tend to use spoiler tags for wit and snarkiness, so I never know when it's safe to highlight it. What's happened has happened, but I wish more people would be a bit more clear.

While I agree with this, in Revelations defense ... no one has been following this in the thread. He just happened to mention things further along then others have.

I'm not sure it was necessarily meant to mean that.

That said, Vampires' have traditionally been represented as hyper-sexual, which includes some bi-ness. Even for the ones that aren't actually bi, they seem to have no issue utilizing their sexuality to get prey of either sex.

Also, why was Bill such a douchebag? He is a self loathing vampire, yet he was reveling in killing that woman and then getting it on with Lorena, as his victim died a slow death.

He wasn't always self-loathing.

Yeah, and don't forget the title of the show...the invention of Tru Blood was a gamechanger, and part of that included Bill renouncing his baser vampire instincts and wanting to "mainstream". Back then, when they had no other choice for sustenance, and especially under Loreana's tutelage, i'm not surprised Bill acted the way he did in that scene.

Motherfucker.

I got spoiled along with everyone else by Revelations.

Fuck.

Just saw the episode, thought it was good. Sex in blood scene was pretty wowee.

I was just having that conversation with my girl last night, and the orgy scene happened.
She said "oohhh look at Tara and Eggs", and I said "and we still didn't get to see no titty".

Maryanne, Daphne, Tara, Red head waitress, Jessica, Religious Girl & now Bill's maker.
It is my biggest disappointment especially since it seems like Sookie is lookin for any reason during any scene to show hers off.

Maryann is a fucking
Maenad
, guys, which is on par with the Greek references, the orgies, etc. The poison claws are just an addition to the clusterfuck of Greekness her character is.

so far this is better than season 1.

great episode. I thought they were going to drag the sookie's infiltration. The sex and blood scene was unsettling, but it shows Bill has a dark past
