Really? I thought it was pretty boring up until the kidnapping or so

actually i think it was my favorite too. apart from the sexiness a lot of interesting things were packed into one episode, so many questions.

Oh preachers wife hit'em with the God want you in this pussy, cause he turning it down. The only thing I turn down is my collar, get that puss boy its one of the commandments.

Great episode, the church segments with Sookie turned out just like in the books. Jessica in bra and panties needs a GIF! :D

Just a few questions for anyone willing to answer. First of all, this is a great show. Watched all of Season 1 and as much of S2 as I could and love it. I just got done watching the 5th episode of Season 2 where it ends with
Sookie fucking Bill and Jason being rewarded by Sarah in the tub
. Just wondering a few things...

1. Whats the policy on spoilers in this thread? Everything that airs is fair game without spoiler tags and everything else from the books or unaired episodes spoiler tagged? Everything fair game?

2. Whats the deal with the show. I have HBO. Is episode 5 of season 2 the most recently aired episode? When do these episodes air and what time?

My thoughts so far on this season (Spoilers to episode 5):
Inferior to S1 so far but still fun. A lot of new shit was introduced that I find to be pretty fun but kind of cheesy. Terras shit has been awful since the exorcism and I'm sick of her side story in general now. Sam is cool but his whole thing is starting to get a BIT cheesy. Jasons shit is pretty corny but fun. Jessica is generally awful but she's so damn good to look at that it doesn't bother me one bit. Eric is awesome. Lafayette is awesome. Bill and Sookie are entertaining.

From what I just said it seems like every part of this season is awful but I'm enjoying it :D.

1. Correct.

2. You saw up to last week's episode. Tonight's just aired and will be reairing again in 20 minutes if you want to watch.

Jessica is awful? Her whole storyline with Hoyt is one of the better threads this season since she's pretty much the only character not deeply involved in the two pretty heavy duty storylines. I'm really liking her character.

I also don't see how anyone can say this season is inferior to the first. The chemistry of the cast is better, the world is getting more fleshed out, and the show is really starting to hit a tone that's not too dark but definitely steering away from being as campy as it was last season - but still going that route when appropriate.

Nice comeback week... last weeks episode was atrocious. This episode really peaked my interests again.

I love lafayettes story line, it's always so tense, and Jasons story has really just gotten better with each episode. I still don't really like sookie all that much, and Tara and eggs are ok I guess.

So yeah...what the fuck at the last part of the recent episode? I hope young children arnt watching this. :lol And when the hell do we get to see godric? It's like they are keeping him a secret or something.

When do we learn that sookie is a fairie?

Ive noticed tonight that the guy who plays lafayette, he is a pretty goddamn good actor I must admit...

Hell yeah, one of the best characters around. Nobody can fuck with Lafayette! ...well except for Eric...cuz nobody can fuck with Eric!

ok i think book spoilers should be marked differently from show spoilers >: [

Well, it is HBO, what do you expect? And we've seen Godrich already, he won't really look any different aside from his attire.

Jesus, there is no reason to spoil that...its not even relevant to anything

Really? What did he look like? I forgot..

Anyway, uhm my TiVo or whatever cut off just at the ending, so maybe I missed something. Daphne just put the mask on Maryanne and she started doing that voodoo shit and then it cut off. Anything else happened after that? My recording clocks in at 51:47 minutes.

And god I really hate that freaky bitch Maryanne. I really hate what she does to Eggs and Tara, even if they aren't my favorite characters. I just really want that bitch to die a painful death.

Great episode by the way, I really liked it. A nice change of pace with Sookie being away from Bill and all. And that scene with the church wife kind of turned me on :lol . That girl is so sexy.. fucking panting and shit.. :p Jessica and Hoyt are soooo sweet :D.

Everything flew off the rails at the end, and in a good way. Can't wait to see where this ends up because it's getting crazy.

Can you tell me if anything happened after Maryanne put on her bull mask?

Jessica and Hoyt are easily the best couple on the show. I hope nothing bad happens to them (or their budding relationship).

Edit: And Terry rocks. The scene between him and Lafayatte was unexpectedly touching for me.

There are spoiler tags there. So you spoiled yourself dude.

You fucked me over as well. Not really raged or anything but just disappointed. For something like that you really could have spelled out a clear warning.

Edit: Also can anyone in the know at least answer if we could at least expect that reveal to be this season? I hate having a spoiler just lingering for a while in my head. It isn't a huge deal in terms of overall plot thus far but it is pretty significant. I would rest easier if I knew that it won't be a big deal in regards to future seasons.

:lol I knew Maryanne was setting up Sam but that's some cold blooded shit. Tara and eggs got caught up too... damn. Can they finally explain what the lore is?!

Jason Stackhouse always delivers.

Eh, if you've already seen the episode you check spoiler tags expecting it to be about that. Anyway, there was a list with all the differences between the book and the tv show. I can't find it :/

Agreed completely

i hope something happens.

i hope a hot, dirty sex scene happens.

edit: and that scene was awesome.

Dude, in this episode, the sexiness just went from awesome sexy, to very disturbing sexy.

Ok I know there was a spoiler tag, but there was no notice that it wasn't just speculation or anything that wasn't a huge fucking spoiler.

this is the first time in a very long time where i was so into an episode that at the end and it cut away i literally screamed fuck. god damn this show is hot!

Nah brah, go fuck yourself...you go in spoiler first everytime you see a spoiler tag? That has been a spoiler all throughout this thread in previous pages...its been mentioned so much that I didnt have to lead into it. I needed to know at what point it will happen in the show. Im not going to remember to tag an already tagged point.

"Brah"? Really? :lol :lol :lol

You fucked up and you've been defensively dickish about it in every subsequent post. Then brah to boot? Ridiculous.

Looking at your previous post whos the one thats dickish? I put spoiler tags over it and that should be good enough. It's your choice to read it or not. Go be an asshole somewhere else.

If people here would stop spoiler tagging shit that didn't need to be spoiler tagged people might not get so pissy when they read an actual spoiler that has been tagged.

Book spoiler =/= show spoiler.

But by all means, remain a defensive douche.

Definitely not possible. People will always seek knowledge to things they dont or wish to understand.

Pretty sure the thread is about the TV show, not the book. Don't act all high and mighty about it. I fucking hate the trend of using spoilers with no indication to what it is. It's quite obvious that spoilers would be about the show, ya know, what the thread is about and all. A simple sorry would suffice, not being a complete dick about it when you know you're in the wrong.

not really a big deal since I read the spoiler else where, but you very much are in the wrong and trying to take the high ground isn't a smart move.

In response to Revelations: I didn't look at the spoiler thank goodness. I try to be careful with spoilers on this thread because of the books and such, but even then you are not following accepted NeoGAF spoiler etiquette.

Spoiler Etiquette

Do's:
- Consider people who haven't seen or played what you have.
- Always mark spoilers appropriately.

---Correct spoiler marking strategies.
This is a spoiler for the 4th boss fight in Zelda
I can't believe the part when the boss breaks out a deck of cards and starts playing poker with himself!

Don'ts
- Post unmarked spoilers, you might as well be posting spoilers without the tags.
- Posting spoilers without the spoiler tags in a thread about an ongoing in progress subject such as TV shows or Game megathreads.

Clarifying what your spoiler is actually spoiling is really helpful especially when it comes to something like True Blood that's based on a book. People around here tend to use spoiler tags for wit and snarkiness, so I never know when it's safe to highlight it. What's happened has happened, but I wish more people would be a bit more clear.

This whole thread is a spoiler mix of both the book and the show without warnings. It is not only contained on this page but in every other page as well. People dont tag spoiler tags and are not in the practice of doing so. I spoiler tagged just like every one else in previous pages did in this thread. Only difference here is that its finally immaturely instigated.

Almost no one in this thread is following that. Nor would they remember to do so at every instance of spoilage. It's a risk factor after a certain point where it has become comfortable within a certain thread as is the case with the previous pages filled with spoiler bits from both the book and the show.

I read the spoiler, I guess I can't say I really care because I don't know what it means in the big picture.

That said, I was pretty shocked to read what is probably a pretty big reveal in the books done in such a ham-handed way and then defended as though it was everyone else's fault that they clicked over it in a thread about the TV show. Especially when it's bookended in between observations on tonight's episode.

Undoubtedly it would have been clearer if it was written in this fashion: When are we going to find out that Eric
has a spoiler
?

Don't think Revelations would still be posting in defense of himself if he'd just apologized and fixed his post rather than calling the people who clicked on the tag stupid, more or less (and laughing at them).

I think, going forward, it's pretty clear that there's a contingent of people in this thread who haven't read the books (and obviously who don't want to be spoiled), so maybe the people who have can keep that in mind before they post.

I also think Brian Fellows is right, that a big part of the problem is unnecessary spoiler tagging running rampant, but its a matter of either trying to change the culture of this forum or asking people who have more knowledge than the average poster to try and show a little extra consideration.

Somehow I think the latter is a little more achievable.

amazing episode. PLEASE DONT SPOIL IT. kthx.

just gone done watching. Blew me away again. Last week was good. This week was great. Season 2 is a ripper.
