Disappointing.

She was hot... and after the biggest star on the show (Paquin) took it all off, I think I expected anyone and everyone involved to be in the same boat. Doh. I mean, there was even some full-frontal male nudity in this last episode... granted it was in the background, but it seems that's such a huge deal in terms of film/TV "decency."

You see wangs all the time on HBO.

Eric is awesome and I wish that actor got the part of Thor.

He's too awesome for Thor.

HBO spoiled the
Jason
thing in it's 2nd preview before Hung. She
used a paintball gun.

Yeah, I was quite pissed to see that HBO spoilered themselves. I was letting my dog out while letting my DVR continue and I saw it, and I was like WTF?

I hope they didn't go more than 1 episode deep.

If you looked closely you could see that they were blurring out any males or female genitals with the exception of boobs.

Great episode. I hope Bill's maker (her name escapes me) isn't in anymore eps beyond the upcoming ep -- she's getting annoying.

Also, the Maryanne story is still among my least favs -- why? Because it doesn't involve a single vampire. I want to see a vampire interact with her and I have this feeling we won't.

I also hope that she isn't immortal and is capable of dying.

Also, someone mentioned characters dying off before the end of the season
such as Daphne
last night, here are my top 5 predictions before the end of the season who are the most likely to die.

1. Benedict (eggs)
2. One of the Bellefleurs
3. The woman that Eric made and who is keeping track of Lafayette
4. Maryanne (wishful thinking)
5. Hoyt

I actually like Bill's Maker, and I think she's way hot.

I liked their flashback.

Even though I got heavy Angel and Darla vibes from it.

It's not that I think the flashbacks are horribly acted or anything, but with so many storylines going on that I'd like to see completed (Maryanne's supernatural stuff, Sookie's infiltration, Jason's affair with Sarah, Lafayette's recovery, information on Godric, Jessica and Hoyt), I'd rather not see her having such a big part in the last two eps and probably the upcoming.

For me, it's wasting screentime for my favorite characters while she plays 20 questions with Bill and "Do you remember that time when we fought about your freedom? Doesn't seem that long ago, huh?"

I will say that I enjoyed their "orgy" with that couple.

Why would you think that? They have to leave Dallas sometime

I think Jessica's
hymen
will
regenerate
after
sex
with
Hoyt
.

I thought about that when she said it would be her first time. I wonder if they will deal with that.

The actor that is, of course :P

Haha. I knew what you meant. I still never put that together and think it is very interesting.

I don't get why Daphne was killed

She had no sway over Sam, so she was useless. Thoug I like this answer better:

Cause even though the actress said she wouldn't do full nudity, the producers thought she would have shown the goods by now.

Well we only have 5 or so eps left. I have a feeling the vamps will be in Dallas for two more eps and then come back to Louisiana and then have their encounters with the Queen of the state (Evan Rachel Wood's character).

I have a feeling that these are two separate storylines that won't cross together in the end. Eric, Sookie, and Bill will probably start their new story arc with the Queen after they leave Dallas.

I have no idea what Jason will do after the Dallas storyline is over.

It's funny, it always seemed to me that Sarah's plan all along was to seduce Jason into fucking her, and all her crazy Christian shit was just an act. Turns out, she actually is completely insane.

Maryann book spoiler

In the book, the vampires are afraid of Maryann, the way they usually get rid of her kind is by bribes, don't know how it will play out in the show. She is way stronger than the vampires and they know it.

How so? Is she really immortal, as in tear-her-to-pieces-come-back-to-life-again immortal?

She controls emotions, kind of like vampires use glamouring to control humans, except she doesn't have to actually talk or stare at them or anything, just has to be in the area. And as you can see on the show, she completely controls anyone she wants to besides shifters (Sam). The book never says if 'killed' if she could come back or regenerate like Wolverine, but you never know.

Besides shifters or
besides all magical creatures
? If she can't control
vampires
then she it's an even battle imo.

Thats the only weird part, in the books, Sam was never involved with Maryann, so the whole 'not able to control shifters' thing was never in the equation, she was just a badass to everything on earth. Who knows, the writers probably have Bill and company killing her and being the town savior. Or some happy bullshit

I think they were completely necessary to understand where Bill is coming from.

The first one showed his prior sins, and the second shows the internal struggle that lead him to stop hunting.

I spoiled myself by reading the episode synopsis for the next couple episodes, if you want to know if what you think is correct - read the next spoiler.

You're not right.

so im assuming Eric broke Godric free...

right?
Being fair, It looked more like Godric was there on his own free will.

Going take a stab and say, They didn't capture Godric. Godric came to them

Got a link to those synopses?

I still think it could be told much better than having him sit in a room and playing "Remember the Time" by Michael Jackson.

His heart to heart talks as of late (with Sookie and his maker, Lorena) bore even my g/f who naturally gets into the love stories.

i have no idea of real reasons, but i would guess that Godric is playing along to see who's loyal and who's not.Perhaps knowing that some are ready to betray him and figuring this would let the rats reveal themselves.

I think that's wrong because
in the book, Sam does hang around with Maryann a bit. Doesn't he change into a dog and become her pet for a few chapters and go frolicking in the woods with her?

Why would he?
There has been allot of talk about Immortal on a vampire. Both humans wanting to be one, and vampires who regret it.

So I'm kinda just guessing
He gave himself up. I still see no real reason how a human could have caught him. And if it was a powerful creature who did. I don't think he would be moving around freely

Maybe I missed something, but where did Sookie all of a sudden get the notion that she can transmit her thoughts to Barry over long distances in order to get his attention? I thought that was kind of an iffy moment, one that was probably explained in much more detail in the books (which I have not read).

What did Bill drink for the 70 years prior to True Blood being invented?

Probably still human blood, and that's the reason he became a self loathing vampire.
And remember, the vampires don't have to kill someone to feed.

A few things about the creature behind Maryanne, no spoiler just insight:

A thing to know about a maenad. It is pure evil energy. The person that is Maryanne is probably playing host the demon itself which has not only mythical greek properties but actual religious ties as well. It cannot be killed. it can however be repressed but never killed since it is a supernatual entity older than vampires themse;ves. You cant kill it with a bullet, a vampire or anything of this earth. Its repression can come in the form of any other superior being such as an angel, god , another demon, the devil or religious inclinations. When they say she is a god they arnt kidding int hat sense...

Yeah that was pretty weird haha
