Meh the 2017 Acura NSX and the 2016 Civic Type-R are the only new additions as far as I can tell (plus a few upgraded models from older Forzas) and they're not even brand new if you had them from Horizon 3 car packs.

I'd assume not; I've never seen any hint of an announcement.

That's a huge fucking disappointment then. I can't go back to 2D racing unless it's for chase cam arcadey shits 'n' giggles (and even then VR makes it feel like you're playing from a drone flying behind the car, which brings its own unique levels of awesomeness).

I thought XoX was going to be compatible with the Rift..?

Wide body kits are in as well.

For the first time in the Forza Motorsport series, we’re bringing wide-body kits to a number of cars in Forza Motorsport 7. A select number of kits are completely bespoke and designed in-house here at Turn 10; from underground-inspired designs to aero-enhanced kits modeled after professional motorsport. In addition, numerous body-kit options from Forza Horizon 3 will also be available in Forza Motorsport 7, including Upgrade Heroes like the Nissan S14 and the 240SX SE announced today.

Wheel options will be abundant in Forza Motorsport 7. In addition to bringing over a number of the new-entry wheels from Forza Horizon 3, we’re adding a selection of new race-inspired. Whether you’re building your favorite car for yourself or you want to establish your reputation as a master in the Forza Motorsport 7 tuning scene by sharing your masterpiece on the Auction House, now you’ll have more options than ever to build the cars of your dreams.

The last time they put out any decent content pre release was FM3. We got a few videos showing off cars, and even one showing off a track. Since then its been car list and wait for the release trailer. Its so silly.

At least weekly car reveals came with pics (for each car) for fm4, fh1 and maybe 2 as well ?

They got progressively lazier (taking pics of cars in homescreen or in the exact same location/position on the map) until they just stopped.

They could use some media

I'm pretty sure even one ForzaGAF race in VR would literally be bad for your health. Turn10 is looking out for you by omitting VR.

I feel your pain Mascot. I too decided to go down the VR rabbit hole knowing full well that it would be hard for me to go back to 2D screens in racing games, and I was 100% correct. It's hard as fuck! Nothing comes close to immersion you get with VR, PERIOD! But this is the decision we've made so we must now live with the consequences of being scarred for life by VR :(

With that having been said, I'm just going to say fuck it and throw in the towel, and play these two games(GT Sport and Forza 7), because despite the lack of VR support, they're the games that will have the biggest online community and my first priority is enjoying a game with a huge populated online community. Plus the car list is bananas so far.

So in the meantime all we can do is pray that Turn 10 patches Forza 7 with VR support in the future sometime after launch. Otherwise there's always iRacing and Pcars 2 :)

Week 6

Here we are at the penultimate week six of car announcements coming to Forza Motorsport 7 and we’re shining the spotlight on a truly unique batch of cars. The Forza world fell in love with the custom built special models that debuted in Forza Horizon 3 and we’re pleased to say that Forza Edition cars, as they’re now known, will be a part of the fun in Forza Motorsport 7! These cars feature unique styles designed to catch the eye, but also custom tuning and special bonuses that will make them must-own additions to every Forza player’s garage.

In Forza Motorsport 7, Forza Edition cars will be immediately recognizable on the track. Whether they’re sporting custom widebody kits and wheels or gorgeous liveries, Forza Edition cars will always stand out from the crowd. Beyond the aesthetics you can only find in a Forza Edition car, you will get a ride that has been fine-tuned by the experts here at Turn 10, who have considered every factor from power-to-weight ratio, to the specific suspension settings that will make a Forza Edition car a top choice for all types of four-wheeled-fun, including special built-to-drift models.

Not only do these cars look great and drive well, but Forza Edition vehicles also offer advantages to progress your career and increase your credit balance. Each Forza Edition vehicle has built-in multipliers that will enhance your credit reward for racing and winning with it, as well as increase the XP gained while you are behind the wheel. These are tools of your racing trade that will deliver a big payoff, race after race.

So how do you get your hands on these amazing Forza Edition cars? In addition to being available as rewards in game, via the Forza Drivers Cup single player campaign or in #Forzathon events, you’ll also be able to find them on the Auction House, which is returning for Forza Motorsport 7.

For those who want to get a great head start on their Forza Edition collection right away, check out our VIP membership, which is available as part of the Deluxe and Ultimate editions of Forza Motorsport 7. All five of the cars included in the VIP Car Pack are Forza Edition cars, including the 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Super Sport Forza Edition, the 2013 Ram Runner Forza Edition, the 2012 Nissan GTR Forza Edition, the 1992 Ford Escort RS Forza Edition, and the 2014 BMW M4 Forza Edition. That’s five awesome Forza Edition cars right from the start, plus custom Driver Gear, and more!

Now check out at what happens to the incredible Ford GT when it becomes a Forza Edition car.

2017 Forza Edition Ford GT
The Ford GT was created to fulfill the most auspicious destiny in the world of motorsport – claiming victory at Le Mans. Marking the 50th anniversary of the original Ford GT 40’s victory, the new Ford GT was built to prove that Ford can still dominate at the highest level of sports car racing. The production model GT is the starting point for homologation from which endurance racing provenance is borne. Take one look, or one listen, or one drive, and the character of a champion is obvious. Throughout the carved aerodynamics and gloriously sculptured form, players will find active elements and static design that create not only unique allure, but massive downforce. Within, technology abounds in adjustable suspension and drivetrain settings that put 647 EcoBoost twin-turbo driven horsepower to the massive rear wheels. Ford Performance set the bar high when they reinvented the GT, and of course both destiny and expectations were exceeded with not only the victory they sought, but the awe of the lucky 1,000 owners who are lucky enough to own them.

The complete list of Forza Edition cars is still growing, so stay tuned for more details on these amazing and highly beneficial cars and trucks! As always, stay tuned to ForzaMotorsport.net for the full list of Forza Motorsport 7 cars revealed to date.

Wait what? So the VIP Pass doesn't even give you completely new cars in FM7? And on top of that they give you rebranded Horizon Edition cars to play with? I swear it's really hard to read something positive about this game.

700 ?
Do people use more Than a few ? Why 700 ?

Car enthusiasts like their certain model. Ever since the frist Gran Turismo offered an overwhelming choice of cars to the competition, these types of racing games like to offer a huge selection so everyone finds their favourite car.

Why not. Some people like to drive supercars, some like to drive true racing machines, some like to drive their own cars in a video game and so on. Also the fact that Turn 10 borrows cars from the previous Forza entries isn't exactly a bad thing (as long as they don't forget to add plenty of brand new ones which is currently an issue with FM7 ;)). PD should do this as well instead of scrapping GT5/6 premium cars.

Yes, we have been saving the best for last. Here, in the final week of the Forza Motorsport 7 Garage, we bring you cars that span more than 50 years of racing history, all of which you’ll be able to explore, customize and drive in Forza Motorsport 7. From the early days of racing history to modern high-tech marvels, this lineup is drawn from nearly every major racing series in the world.

The world of racing has a history all its own. There are stories of success and triumph and endless innovation. Consider the evolution of aerodynamics in the first cars to experiment with downforce, or the search for power as turbo-charged vehicles entered the field. Forza Motorsport 7 will feature classic racers like the 1966 Ford #2 GT40 Mk II Le Mans and the 1991 Mazda #18 Mazdaspeed 787B, among many others legendary race cars. As the 2017 racing season is still underway, you will be able to experience the latest technology and designs from Formula One, IndyCar, NASCAR, Aussie V8 Supercars and Formula E. These are the cars that are racing right now in their respective series, and you’ll get to race them firsthand in Forza Motorsport 7.

This week, we’re also thrilled to share an exciting infographic that encapsulates the diversity and breadth of Forza Motorsport 7’s massive 700+ car lineup.

700 ?
Do people use more Than a few ? Why 700 ?

People drive a lot of them, and it's really about getting as many individual favorites as possible. People grew up at different times, with different tastes, so the wider the range of cars, the better the chances the ones that are special to you are included.

Even just from a game design point of view, with so many cars, you can structure the reward system around giving cars that go toward a larger collection, and you can have more nuance for why you're given which cars. If you've got a major race series set in a particular region, you can make the prize cars all come from that region. Players gradually pick up more info about the auto industries in those territories.

All the cars have introductory profiles with little trivia-like tidbits worked in. Some are super specific to showpiece cars, others are more general by manufacturer, but that history focus is one of the things I really like about the series.

650+ cars but so little that is actually new and fresh for Forza. 7 is getting an appropriate amount of flack all over twitter and the various forums for the lack of new content. It's not terrible since I missed out on FM6, but I would've like to have seen a lot of new GT3 cars given the rising popularity of the class.

It's just a huge list of the same forza 6 and horizon 3 cars. They added one new fake track and brought back some from last gen.

This is the least exciting Forza in the whole franchise for me. I've played hundreds of hours in Forza 6 and horizon 3 each, so this would look great for new PC players probably.

I'm going to push my UE FM7 purchase back after I get a X in November and try Pcars 2 until then instead. It's hard to even get excited for the Forza 7 rain stuff when pcars 2 does so much more.

Is this game like the old gran turismo where you start off with older cars, win races the can modify and buy other cars?
