Yep, doubles them for the entire life of the Pokemon, even when "cured." The only downside to it going away is it can't be moved between Pokemon anymore.

First shiny stone is on iron island, accessible from the 6th gym town. It's gonna be a while.

Not if we learn them after we get her back from daycare. When we accidentally learn a move, it's typically over our main attack.

Edit: now there's a big movement to get the coin case to intentionally soft lock the game inside the game corner.

At least we have enough money to scramble our team around on the Day Care. Eventually we'll leave our Togepi there.
