Twitch streamer breaks down in tears after chat berates her Tifa cosplay as not 'sexy' enough

Twitch is a complete hellhole of toxicity, especially for women.
People get all defensive when you say that because they never want to admit that women may have it worse in some ways and think that if you admit it then it makes you some '' Feminist cuck '' or whatever immature stupid bullshit they say.
But it's just objectively true.
Yeah, everyone takes shit on Twitch but men don't have to deal with your gender being such a tiny minority on the site on top of having a majority of the audience being prone to sexualize and creep on you publically without your consent.

Most women don't like unwanted attention like this, and they don't even have to wear skimpy clothes to be creeped on. There's a ton of female streamers who wear fucking turtle necks and still have people constantly creep on them, entire forums exists solely to do it even where people comb throw all of your videos to try and find even just short parts where you raise your arms or something because they think it's sexy.

I think that this is quite widespread tbh.
Like in League of Legends for example every time a new skin or female character is announced you get this big group of people who nitpick the character or skin into oblivion and will label the character or skin '' slutty '' and worse if she shows even just slight amounts of skin. Meanwhile dudes can have their shirts off in ice cold weather and no one even asks if they're cold or demands some kind of a justification for it.
People are just so incapable of not being creeps and not sexualizing womens bodies at all times it seems.
And just look at the way that people talk about the female characters in LoL for example that I am referring to, I think that it's indicative of real views they have. A normal sane and a person with a healthy sexuality doesn't label a woman a whore and a slut because she has a v-neck or wears a skirt, but that's basically the norm if you read discussions surrounding these characters or Twitch chat.

People often complain that '' sexualized characters '' demean and alienate women but I don't think that's true, I think that men who can't control themselves whether it be the Resetera crowd ( who also objectify and creep on women, just in another way. ) or your typical '' Gamer '' misogynist who gets an erection even by women in turtle necks.
And then the women get blamed for it.
What are they supposed to do? Not exist? She's basically wearing a perfectly normal top in this video even.
She's showing arms *gasp*, the audacity.

Sometimes I wonder if people doing this just never had any sisters and had super ultra puritan parents, because it's like these people have never seen a woman showing ankles or whatever the fuck before. And the worst part about it is that they're totally unapologetic about it and even proud at times. Like they're actually proud about their misogyny.

The last thing that I will say might shock and surprise some people.
But believe it or not, even cam girls have boundaries. Most cam girls have rules for what you can and can't say in chat and you will get banned if you break those rules and I think that a lot of people would be surprised by how strict the rules often can be. They actually do demand quite a bit of respect from their audience. They want to be in control, because they're the ones putting themselves out there and it's their stream.
Why should women on Twitch who aren't even cam girls have to put up with things that cam girls don't even put up with?

"Sometimes I wonder if people doing this just never had any sisters and had super ultra puritan parents, because it's like these people have never seen a woman showing ankles or whatever the fuck before"

That's what i never get with those people, i see woman straight up as normal human beings, but that's because i had a sister that would bring over lots of friends, my best friends had all sisters so u get into contact with them from your entire life. Even if we would go out swimming for example obviously all of them are in bikini's etc. And it never was weird or anything just felt normal.

Then u see those incels on internet jumping at every female they see and act like its the most sexual looking being they ever saw even while the only thing they show is a 2 inches of skin on their ankle.

It's fucking weird.

It's not just limited to that tho, i had real life friends that would come over for example and started to drool over my sister or her friends and become utter and utter weird to the point they lock up completely if one of those would ask a question towards him. While other friends with sisters would just talk normally and act normally.

I think the issue is that some guys grow up without a sister or sit in those bible belts what we call them super religious community's where girls are needing to be covered up 100% because everything is sexual and it just makes them absolutely obnoxious weird.

Twitch has proven itself about as valuable a contribution to human discourse as Twitter, so this reaction isn’t surprising. Only thing I would‘ve complained about (to myself—the world has had enough of everyone’s opinions) is how messy her room is.

Hey now, don't go blaming the Bible belt! I grew up there, and I'm fine.

Besides, I never felt like the Bible belt really ever stopped anyone from being revealing. Maybe you're talking about those communes or something. My Bible Belt and is the Holy Rollin' Empire.

Wish they'd just go straight to pornhub so we could avoid these cases where they pretend to not know what is driving the transaction.
eh, i disagree. don't need to shove everyone into a pr0n/non pr0n category. there can be a spectrum. i mean we live in an era where people enjoy listening to ASMR. there are many ways to service people over the internet.

at any rate who cares what is "driving the transaction"? does it really make a difference if i'm tuning in to watch a women shoot zombies in the face vs tuning in to watch some cleavage? is watching someone shoot imaginary zombies morally superior than looking at life giving titties? why is one form of entertainment scorned? consumer elitism imo. slap a "not for kids" warning and have your fun.

Yeah basically she's selling her time, herself in a way, on Twitch to make money. This kind of thing comes with the territory. She should find a way to deal with those kind of comments. If you can't or if you find it too difficult, get off Twitch.

...lacks reading comprehension.
Some of the comments here would make ResetEra cry LOL
No. The people on Era are aware they will get a ban the minute they post anything even suggesting that she is not the victim she pretends to be, so they have very circlejerk colored replies. The people that are critical exist there as well, but they don't post in these threads. Era is basically a dictatorship of the brain, it's the opposite of free speech.

Twitch openly encourages and celebrates chaturbate whores streaming on their platform but sure, gamers are the source of the world's misogyny yet again.

To be fair we don't know the real reason she was crying - perhaps it was because she remembered giving up a real career to be hollered at by juvenile morons.

Awww c'mon man, it's not like that. It's just kind of a pet peeve of mine when it comes to streaming. I stream myself and I'm always particular that any wayward messiness is either off camera or properly taken care of beforehand.

I mean ... sucks that she got her feelings hurt. But geez. If you're going to be a public entertainer, you gotta have thicker skin than that.

If they are telling you to strip, it just sounds like they think she's really attractive. It can be taken as a compliment, or a sign that her outfit is working. She seems to have a big hangup about being a streamer at all, and finds it humiliating.

Find a new job.

Proper cosplaying is as difficult as becoming the next PewDiePie. 99.99% of people will fail. If anything this is a wake-up call that you're not good enough at your job.

That's something you accept when going public, viewers on streams extend their comments because they're assholes in other words why be surprised? Why not block chat streams as much as this makes you upset? 3 or 4 o clock in the morning and every gamer would wish this girl was their girlfriend.

If true, then I definitely feel bad for the girl, but she'll be just fine.

I just think it's important to swallow the truth pill that Twitch chat is typically a cesspool filled with shitty folks. I mean it's anonymous and it IS the internet, that behavior exists all over. But Twitch and Twitter are filled with absurdly shitty folks and trolls. If you make the choice to become a full-time streamer, then you should probably prepare yourself for people like that.

What scorn are you talking about?

I'm talking about somebody having a breakdown when they weren't "sexy enough" on stream. I don't give a shit what she streams on Twitch. If she is a woman(or a man) and does cosplay on stream a not insignificant portion of her stream is going to judge her appearance. They don't even have to objectify her, she's doing it for them.

The only scorn here is for a streamer who either is clueless or fake. Neither of which are effective methods for generating sympathy from me, much less donos or a sub.

This is internet

She must accept that if she wants to continue facing audience and doing live stream .. not everyone will be polite and respectful

She looks cute though. i feel sorry for her

She's cute, shed tears, and hides her goods, thus keeping her ultimate draw power--she shall get the clicks now. :messenger_ogre:
Call me an old man screaming at a cloud, but I can't get into streaming culture and funny TikTok videos.

There are millions of whiny 5-year olds on Earth, and I AM THEIR KING.
I don’t know why I clicked on the video thinking it would be funny. The girl is crying over some stupid shit and the simps on her chat double down on being stupid. Nothing to see here.

I’ve seen enough a Twitch criers now, that I doubt them all.

The whole lama llama llama thing really showed the extent to which they prey on their users.
