I give up. This is taking frustratingly long at this point.

Watch this reveal simply end with 'Far Cry Primal' when the video finishes zooming out. Ubisoft seem to excel at annoying the hell out of people. Couldn't someone have a quiet word with them?
Well maybe that can change cause we now live in a time where the 3rd high grossing movie has dinos .
its actually really cool how many surprises there could be considering most people's Ice Age knowledge begins and ends with mammoth and saber tooth tigersHopefully this has giant 9 ft beavers, mammoth sloths, and all the other weird giant rodents of the ice age people forget about.
Guys, there aren't going to be dinosaurs because Ubisoft Editorial decreed around five years ago that all their major ~$15+ million dollar projects should drop all fantasy and any heavy sci-fi themes (like, beyond the extent of what you see in Tom Clancy or Assassin's Creed where it's generally modern day).
If you look at Assassin's Creed, Watch_Dogs, Tom Clancy, or even things like For Honor, they all follow this.
Maybe this is a countdown to the e3 2016 reveal.
Go dammit Ubisoft, you better make a dark fantasy pirate game.Guys, there aren't going to be dinosaurs because Ubisoft Editorial decreed around five years ago that all their major ~$15+ million dollar projects should drop all fantasy and any heavy sci-fi themes (like, beyond the extent of what you see in Tom Clancy or Assassin's Creed where it's generally modern day).

This is Osiris. It was canned because it was about fighting mythical creatures and gods and that's a no-no for a big budget at Ubisoft.
There are so many sci-fi and fantasy games out there that I kind of like Ubisofts "let's keep it real" approach, truth to be told. It's not that I dislike those genres, but it's nice to have a bit more variety. It's something that Ubisoft is definitely good at and for what I appreciate the Assassin's Creed series with its everchanging historical settings.
Too bad about the actual games, though.
I don't think movie successes influence game publishers. if that was the case, we'd have many AAA superhero games but we don't
To make a superhero game you need the license which can cost a lot or the company that owns the license might want some of the profit .
You don't have that problem with dinos still the Ice age is interesting .

Looks to be right up my alley. I'm not tired of the Far Cry formula yet so I'm pretty interested in what this does to said formula.
I hope the grappling hook and wing-suit are somehow still in. It'll be a little annoying to not have those after using them all throughout 4.
Exactly, we all know lazers was the primitive technology of choiceLet me tell you about the ice age...
Can't wait to skin and re-extinct all these animals! Maybe this time they will be aggressive towards the player and actually provide a thin veil of an excuse other than 'we made all these wildlife only for you to kill to unlock your next bag capacity upgrade'.

Okay I can't find it again. If anyone is better with Google, the topics of the interview included how New IPs often don't make money so you should always make your New IP with a sequel in mind (as the sequel can capitalize on a lower development time and a bigger audience), as well as Ubisoft wanting to invest in IPs that resonate with people by being believable and similar to the real world (either present day, past, or near future) when a lot of money is involved.I'm currently paging through the archives of GamesIndustry.biz trying to find it.
I can easily understand why people wouldn't believe me out of hand, though I submit what Ubisoft spends money on as evidence in the meantime.
But For Honor is pure fantasy. Unless you mean LOTR type fantasy?
11k people watching this nonsense lol
Way too damn long "tease" for what's probably just a Far Cry spin-off (or anything, really)... wtf were the PR people thinking

Over 11K people watching. AA 24 page thread training about it here. I'd say it's pretty effective so far.
Hope there is a time travel plot point to justify a little insanity.

They're just reporting on the IGN Turkey leak and using info they've heard in the past.
Not sure why we needed it "confirmed" by Kotaku considering it was leaked well before. But hey whatever gets them clicks.
Is that not good enough?
