My plan is to completely turn and act like i knew it was going to happen all along, possibly go back to my old posts and edit them to mention some hole in Jones's game.

Holy shit my e-mail just got read on the Rome show. He changed some of my words for the better but awesome haha

EDIT: No looks like I did write it all as said, it just sounds better on the radio I guess.

Did you end it with "Huuuur...I'm out"?

No, I wrote (to your dismay on part):

"As a longtime MMA and boxing fan, I don't see how anyone can complain about MMA with stereotypes after that interview. Jon Jones is charasmatic, confident, and works his craft. Meanwhile in the other sport, the headlines the past year have been a boxer cheapshotting a guy with his arms down and then calling out an 80 year old interviewer for a fight; or David Haye "glassing" a boxer with a wine bottle. And this is the sport being stereotyped?"

Of course it set them up for an easy "HE GLASSED ME!" sound drop during the e-mail so I was confident I could get it on.

Class. Bones would be proud.

I can say it all I want about ClassyMMA, but the way fans of mainstream sports respond to MMA, they act like everyone associated with MMA are Liddell looking meatheads with Affliction shirts listening to scream rock.

Jon Jones is The One to bring MMA to the Classy promised land.

You didn't use the word 'articulate' in your email?

im glad dana post on this forum

there has and will never be a bad decision in MMA ever

Bad? Yes. Horrible to the point of being obvious corruption - in a fight that was only made to set up another fight where the "name" fighter was not going to be allowed to lose to a nobody? No. At least not in UFC.

Rashad totally has a chance, guys

MMA's robbery type decisions in recent memory would be like Bisping/Hamill, Machida/Shogun 1 and that one Omigawa fight.. There are a few more but I can't think of them right now.

Nothing compares to what happened last weekend when Brandon Rios got his decision win. Nothing in MMA has ever come close to that.

Blake Savage ‏ @blakesavagemma

Jones has a list of every single combo a fighter has landed on Rashad in his previous fights & is drilling the combos repeatedly. #Scary

Wow what a stupid, paranoid, crybaby fuck this guy is.

But yeah, lets hear more about Jones being arrogant. Evans sounds like he's one fry short of a happy meal. I can see him sitting in his room in a corner with a picture of him and Jones rocking back and forth listening to some emo music going "whyyy Jon whyyy."

Hell if Jones was a shit talker he could probably make Rashad crack with a few snide remarks in the octagon.

Dana had to talk to Rashad on the phone for 30 minutes to calm him down

Rashad is gonna walk in there with so much emotional baggage that I'd almost be surprised if he didn't just start bawling during the face-off in the octagon.

Dana White says Greg Jackson exploited Jones-Evans situation for money

UFC president Dana White has a much different, more blunt take: Jackson did what he did for the money. Jackson, White said, is a businessman who benefits financially from having as many star fighters in his camp as possible.

White wasn't ripping Jackson for trying to make a living, but rather pointing out that fighters shouldn't buy Jackson's "family" approach as sincere. Jackson, White says, is simply doing what he does to make as much money as he can.

"There is one thing that is an absolute fact, and no matter how often Greg Jackson pumps that family [expletive], Greg Jackson is a [expletive] businessman," White told Cagewriter. "The more top guys he brings in, the more money he makes. There's nothing wrong with Greg Jackson, but he's a [expletive] businessman. Some of these fighters, who ought to know better but don't listen to that [expletive] and don't take it for the crock of [expletive] that it is. These guys need to make the decision where they train based on where they think they'll get the best work and develop the best, and not on this [expletive] crazy idea that you're becoming a part of a family.

"Greg Jackson [expletive] told Rashad this wouldn't happen, that they're family and all that other [expletive], but look what is going on now. Look and see who is at Jackson's and who is not. Train where you think it's going to be best for you and if that's Jackson's, that's fine. Just don't buy into this family [expletive] because there's nothing to it. This is the fight business, not the friend business."

So Rashad's camp called him and told him Dana made a $500k bet against him. Not sure why he's the bad guy for reacting to that.

Probably because he's stupid enough to believe it and didn't look for himself. My first reaction would have been, "yeah this is probably a joke, show it to me" instead of "derp GET DANA ON THE PHONE WAAA."

If he had read it on CagePotato or whatever, sure but that's what his own handlers told him. They're the ones who messed up.
