I honestly won't be surprised if we see a strike over this. There is no chance the fighters are happy about this

As far as I know, the fight is still on. And regardless of whether or not he's injured, he's still the champ.

He didn't come to the US due to his injury. He's still being looked at by his team and doctors. We find out today or tomorrow if he's fighting

If only there was an online retailer of male prophylactics that would suit my sexually active, 18-35 year old lifestyle.

Like a depot of sorts?

Oh well, off to the corner drugstore for me.

Dana probably not even considering the effect that banning Condom Depot ads will have on society. All these unwanted babies will be on him.

Good thing UFC fighters are independent contractors and not employees by the UFC, so they shouldn't need to abide by a dress code... right?

Wow, these are uglier than the Reebok gear people on TUF had to wear. You know, the shorts that made everyone look like they had shit their pants because all of the ass sweat would accumulate in one spot of the crotch.

Seriously, this stuff looks like poorly fitting lycra, the stuff middle aged men would wear on a weekend bike ride. The misspelled names and absurd pricing just tops it off.

e: Love how all of the fighters look grumpy, as if their parents made get their picture taken in costume on Halloween or before going to a wedding.

UFC was better when they could wear whatever.

Looks like Street Fighter.

It is a HUGE mistake to leave behind the CM Punk branding. If he wins his first fight he would move so much more merch with that name it would be ridiculous.

40k a fight if you're the champ? I know they get more from sponsorship but that seems dirt cheap.

They don't get sponsorship money anymore. Well technically they do, but what sponsor would pay them when they can't wear their logos on their gear inside the cage or at events.

So someone like GSP who pulled in $8m his last fight will be getting the good old $250K + PPV points + $40k which comes out to probably less than half of what he made.

It's a terrible deal around. The UFC only makes 70m over 6 years, fighters get fucked, and as a consumer/fan (who the fuck wears reebok)

oh my god that is badass, looks so raw.

The top picture is just moments before the guy on the right got kicked so hard that his tooth was still in the other guy's foot for the next round.

Raw is one way to put UFC 1.

Also the guy who lost a tooth is now a regular on Hawaii 5-0

As a reference, 16 fighters have reached 21+ fights in ufc history. So not only is the new sponsorship pay a joke, it's an unrealistic one.

These really are pretty awful, not to mention how much the fighters are getting screwed. First Reebok ruins NHL jerseys and now they gotta try ruining UFC too.

"Yeah, at the end of the day, that's all that matters, that the fighters like it. And everybody is happy with this, so far. The people that have been involved with this love it. They did a great job with the design and it serves the purpose it's supposed to serve.

Depending on what type of shorts, if you like the Muay Thai shorts, they have them. If you like the spandexy type shorts, they have them. If you like the board shorts, they have them. The innovative stuff that they've done with the girls, with the bras and the bottoms. For the first time ever, technology has been put into the fight gear and the training gear for fighters."

Seems like a lot of material to get a hold of for a sport that involves so much grappling. Maybe I missed it, but they're not expected to wear it all during a fight are they?
