theignoramus said:I agree with the couple of people saying the platforming sequences overstay their welcome, but the action sequences after Chapter 13 are excellent. earlier in the thread, someone was claiming UC2 lacked the great gunplay of other top shooters, but I have to say that is absolute bullshit. ND gets how to make a modern shooter; great modern shooters give players meaningful options in the way they tackle a firefight. I'd say the best examples of UC2 doing this is are in city in Nepal and the village in Tibet.
People just expect the bullet to always go straight I guess. Oh no! It's not straight all the time, gunplay fails!theignoramus said:I agree with the couple of people saying the platforming sequences overstay their welcome, but the action sequences after Chapter 13 are excellent. earlier in the thread, someone was claiming UC2 lacked the great gunplay of other top shooters, but I have to say that is absolute bullshit. Lince said:I just finished the game on hard, holy shit the ending left me smiling, best game in years. Chapter 25 graphics are seriously incredible, a sneak peek of what next-gen consoles should be able to achieve.
9,99/10
(-0.01 after the game froze on me once after a huge firefight precisely in chapter 25)
ps: crushing run starting now!
edit: seems like the chapter 25 freeze is a known glitch, fix this shit Guerrilla!
edit2: ND talking about the PS3 SPUs makes you believe they can be used as GPUs... PS4 to feature just a super Cell chip?
Zefah said:Ok, so I assume that if I start a hard campaign and change the difficulty at any point, I will immediately be disqualified for the hard completion trophy, right?
Also, can anyone answer my above post about visual tweaks and medals / trophies?
evlcookie said:Just finished the game, a lot of fun, well designed and a blast. Did have some issues with it though, more from my own frustration. Frustration stuff below
the train sequence pissed me off. I hated that with a passion, same with the jumping from truck to truck a bit later on, hated that one too. The boss fight at the end was also annoying. Not enough space to move around, clearly the run and gun approach was the only way to go about it but even then it was a pain in the ass.
Might start messing around with multiplayer next weekend if my PS3 can hold a stable connection.

That part is actually really easy.Achtius said:The hardest part is.the last boss
iamcool388 said:You basically have to finish every chapter on a difficulty to earn that trophy. If you have finished the first 10 chapters on hard, and then switch to normal, you can go back to chapter 11 and play from there on hard, and you will get the trophy.
Also, visual tweaks dont stop you from getting trophies. The stuff like one-shot kill and no gravity are only available in the difficulty on which you have already finished the game.

Zefah said:Do you know if the actual cheats (one-shot kill, infinite ammo, etc...) stop you from getting the treasures and the trophies / medals associated with them? I kind of want to do a treasure hunting run later and don't want to really worry about anything else.
It doesn't help that this game follows my pet peeve on harder difficulties. Harder = your opponents will hit you from miles away with a pistol and they focus on you and ONLY you.Baha said:Surprisingly easy on crushing since you have to keep moving anyways. Any fight involving M32 hammer henchmen & multiple medium armor shotgun henchmen is harder than that.

Zefah said:The village in Tibet featured the best shoot out in the game. That shit was awesome. I wasn't too hot on most of the shooting segments up until the train honestly, but that village battle was probably my most memorable moment of the game.

Not to mention it cemented Tenzin as my favorite sidekick in the game. You never forget the first time you take out aagreed this was by far my favourite level...i loved how they 'reused' this level and i usually hate backtracking through levels in games...

Full Recovery said:wait.. you can damage him with gunfire? I just assumed that the cutsene where drake shot lazarabitch and had no effect on him was a clue... I beat it on crushing just using sap explosions.. FUUUUUUUU-

wait what? this is what i thought too but did this the whole time? what is the 'proper' way?
jett said:Gunfire works. Think of the "steel fist" mechanic. You soften him for a bit with gunfire then BOOM-sap him, and he'll go immediately into his little DRAKE YOU BITCH animation. It'll only take 4 or 5 sap explosions to kill him this way. Found out by accident, after getting killed for the 20th time, I just started wailing at him with bullets and shot a sap near him by chance.
Huh. That's the only way I killed him too...the game even tells you to do this.jett said:It was super hard(and frustrating) at first, but I was doing it wrong.Thought he could only get damaged with the sap-explosions...it was taking forever to kill him.
Raxus said:Not to mention you start out where you left off after the cutscenes. Once you have a path down you just go in a circle going from sap to sap weaking him. I was disappointed the final boss was little more than a ring around the rosy fight.
