Uncharted 3 MP Beta Thread: Cinematic Murder Testing

Man a stealth upgrade in 1.03 for the Para-9. Almost as awesome as the pistol is in UC2, now. Good-bye Micro, never fucking liked you anyway. The G-MAL seems more powerful too, I'm killing people with two bursts instead of three, or maybe i'm imagining things. Or maybe health has been reduced ever so slightly... :P You just never know with ND.
 
I'm fairly sure health was lowered slightly, the G-MAL seems to be about the same, still 2-3 bursts.

Taking a break until Co-op Adventure and new maps. Still have mixed feelings about the MP.
 
I notice the Micro has been quite nerfed. I emptied an entire clip into someone at point blank range - and he still beat me with two melee hits. I hope that was just due to lag.

And now the G-MAL is my new favorite weapon - a huge improvement over the FAL in U2. My most favorite moment was during the Airplane chase sequence. I was in a truck aiming into the back of the plane, helping out a teammate who was matched up against someone blindfiring behind cover. I aimed at the perfect spot and fired off two shots - hitting the guys exposed arm that was firing, killing him. Wish I saved that one. Perfect kill.

I'd play today, but I got food poisoning yesterday (my bday) and my entire body/mind feels like shit. I think I'll just stay in bed today.
 
You guys complaining about the Micro in the first place were nuts. You see a lot of people using something and immediately think it is unbalanced. No one seemed to use the AK up close like I did and that thing was (and still is) a fucking beast. Not only that, the AK was also fantastic at medium and long range. :D

Now the pistol is too powerful...

The Micro was retardedly powerful, especially with both mods on. By far the best weapon in the beta. That's unbalanced. And I can confirm that it's been nerfed.

The pistol isn't that powerful, it's just useful again. :P

Some tardbucket was complaining the other day that I was "hogging" the treasure. I was the fucking only one actually playing plunder in that match.

5 shot pistol kills is U2 1.05 powerful, especially with the rate of fire for the Para 9... far more than useful.

I swear 1.03 has broken this game more than fixing shit.

Can't back out of matchmaking,

Can't capture treasures in Coop Hunter,

20 minute round time for Plunder is a joke, (3-4? forget any player in the server attempting to capture, ("doin' it for the kills" bullshit!) which lasts another 17 minutes.

Urgh.

just proves that removing KDR won't encourage people to properly play objective modes.
 
I'm only playing Plunder because I want to fill the beta requirements.

Playing with randoms is a terrible experience with objective based playslists.
 
Sorry if this has been covered, haven't really been following this. Is there any reason I'm stuck on 1.02? My friend and I can't connect because of it.

I'm in EU and he's in NA if it helps.

came across a guy today today, shampoo-something. Dude had a clusternade ready to go every 20 seconds. In a 4 minute period, he let off 5 clusternades. Total bullshit.

Heh, I only downloaded the US client to get the Creepy Crawler kickback after I had already been playing with the HK version for days.
 
Not really sure about the health yet. Sometimes I noticed I died quickly with a burst of the G-MAL, other times I was OK. Granted, all I played was Team Obj. and Plunder yesterday with some Hunters so I'm always being shot at from every direction for doing the objectives. You never know with Naughty Dog...I mean they stealth patched to make the pistol awesome again so who knows what other mini stealth patches they've added.

Edit:

You guys know the mini house on top of the Airfield roof? When it explodes, I have been noticing the roof remaining there after the explosion occurs. It looks hilarious.
 
I've been getting really bad kill delays with 1.03. There's been quite a few times where I've got a headshot with the sniper, seen the hitmarker and then they continue to live for another 5 seconds before dropping dead.
 
I do really enjoy Team Objective. The randoms I've had so far have managed to stay on task, luckily for me- although as long as there's at least 3 guys in a territory I'm content to run off and grab any open medal chests, ha. When the territory is in the upstairs office on Airstrip, though, it's too easy for a whole team to descend on the position and throw like 4 grenades in, and kill everyone in the mayhem. Maybe not have that as a territory space? Or offer an option to close the window.

well they didn't necessarily change the health in U2, but they did change the weapon damage. Weapon damage has definitely changed in U3 from 1.00.

Yeah I guess.

Hardcore btw is such a great change of pace from the craziness of the other modes. A sensible choice from ND to include this as part of the regular playlists.
 
The buddy system definitely needs works with the spawning. Countless times I am able to spawn with my buddy in a gunfight and the same happens to me. It gets pretty annoying.
 
Kickoff and ledge grab kills are really uneven. From some surfaces you can kickoff but not grab-kill, from others you can grab kill but not kickoff, and from others you should be able to smash their heads unto the ledge but you can't.
 
I still need to try Plunder. I booted it up for the first time since the new playlist and just got sucked into playing TObj. Maybe it was just bad luck but the first few matches the objectives rolled out in exactly the same order, I thought 'this is fun but it'd be cool if they randomised it'.

Although I'm starting to tire a little of the maps. Not that I think they are bad, just when it's either one or the other it gets kinda repetitive. What's the ETA on the new map?
 
I would REALLY like to to see them add an extra 2 people to the playlists where the buddy system is implemented.

It's a beta, so they should try it for a few days and see how it works.
 
Just went 20-6..

At the mini-gun near the corner on Chateau, jumped off the bridge to find myself behind two enemies approaching underneath. I had an RPG..

The rest writes itself.
 
Anyone else think the Cinema-auto-capture is bugged? Have had two matches in the last two days I've gone back to try and find right after they were over, and weren't able to find them anywhere... *scratches head*
