Ah who knows, I could be in the same boat as you. I'm just hoping from a pure gameplay perspective that it holds up and provides a damn fun cinematic experience. One things I'm sure of that doesn't do that though is melee combat, why is it exactly the same as in U2? I was hoping for some Square vs Triangle / Hit vs Evasion type combat, like in the single player experience. Oh well. In the videos, everything else looks awesome. Especially the emblem visibility on the levels.

By the way this game kicks the lowbie level guys right in the balls for first 10 levels

If you are going against a 15+ level dude, while your team is level 1-3, he can mow you down, with all the extra goodies unlocked
(yes I saw 2 level 15's and 4 level 12's)

Spawning still sucks in Team Deathmatch, oh hey lets spawn you near a corner, while an enemy shoots you from the back, and you try to roll away, but only option is to roll into the stair banisters =/

Co-Op is hella' broken
Siege is so stupid, whose bright idea was to force players into a squared area, and get bombarded with shottys + RPG's galore, and enemies health is triple the amount
Why does 95% of all AI enemies killed by melee always drop grenades?, Jesus felt like Modern Warfare Martyrdom out there

I'd say they've changed the core gameplay substantially. For reasons I don't understand. Why mess with something that already worked? Sure your healthbar is bigger now, but they've changed everything else. It almost seems to be like a futile attempt to go complain about this kind of thing in the beta forum, seems to be a conscious decision to mess with UC2's mechanics.
