The smoke is worthless now. If they aren't going to let you stack, it should atleast be a guaranteed out instead of a random(meaning potentially shitty) spawn.

They should only let certain kickbacks stack. Smoke needs to stack in order to be effective. The more offensive orientated kickbacks shouldn't stack though.
 
Fixed an issue where some PS3 consoles would hard reset under certain circumstances

I hope this means my PS3 won't reset anymore when I try to quit the game and boot back to the XMB. :s

First impression feedback is going to kill this game.
It isn't people's first impressions though--- the problems like ledge grabbing only get more frustrating as you gain experience.

It's pretty stupid you don't get more cash in Coop hunter mode for scoreing points. I bust my ass to score points while my teammate sits packand racks up points by killing easy A.I.
 
One fundamental thing they need to fix with Smoke Bombs is, once you use it and are in a safe location, you should NOT die from lagged damage in the same way you can die after you've turned a corner and taken cover.

i believe that a reserve of medals ( one or two , maybe 3 ) for the next kickback should be a good idea .

i need 7 for militia , then i could have up to 9. once i use my kickback i'm back at 2 ..

Something like this would be the best of both world IMO
 
Good patch, but I'm more concerned with weapon + buddy spawn fixes than Kickbacks stacking. (Though I DO think it's good that they don't stack. This should be about traversal and guns first and foremost. Kickbacks should be treated more strategically)

- The Micro just should not be a loadout choice in its current form. It's too good in close quarters for everyone to be starting with it, and just murders anyone who hasn't unlocked it. If it isn't removed from loadouts entirely, I'd at least like to see it removed from the HARDCORE loadouts, and placed around the map as a "power" weapon.

- The starting Pistol should be a little more powerful so that it becomes a threat again. There's really no reason to pick it instead of he Micro in their current forms. At least make it so that if you aim the Pistol it's a bit more powerful so that it's a good backup in midrange situations.

- Spawning on a buddy has made most of Chateau useless in Deathmatch modes. I liked to see this changed so that buddies can't spawn if there's a roof over their partners head. Maybe this would make for more firefights AROUND the map, and make partners MOVE instead of everyone duking it out in the zipline room.

- Also, there's an issue grabbing ledges where unless you jump at the perfect point, you most likely won't grab it, and will do the little "kick the wall" thing instead. It makes long distance jumping a bit finicky, and will even mess you up at closer distances. The Airfield is full of times like this.

- Team Objective is too short. I don't if this has been adjusted since yesterday, but yeah.

No? Just make it like your previous game, and make it so you aren't randomly missing a grab for no apparent reason.

(Besides, at 7.05, the relative height and distance was different. )
 
I agree with cakefoo. It should be consistent like Uncharted 2. I never missed climbing a ledge or anything, but in this one it happens ALL the time ESPECIALLY in the Airfield where there's more shit to climb. Sometimes it'll work, other times your character will make that jumping animation. Trying to climb into one of those train cargo things for example is always a pain in the ass.
 
Team Objective is a lot of fun.... kind of wish Plunder was one of the modes inside TO instead of TDM though.

Did they nerf the Pistole Auto at all? Still way too powerful.
Also is there anywhere to see your K-D ratio?
 
I don't know. I must be extremely lucky. I don't have those platforming problems everyone else seems to have in inFamous and AC either.

Nah, once you get the hang of it, it's fine. Infamous 2 can get a little strange every now and then, but overall, no real issues. AC2 and onward = zero issues.

haleth is perfect but grenades def need to be altered. Cooking and increased fuse need to be added

Yeah, not in favor of your argument though--- at 7:05, he's going a long way, he's falling, and he has to reach up high to grab with his fingers; at 7:20 he's going a short hop, he has doesn't have negative vertical momentum, and he is in a very good position to get leverage with his shoulders and chest strength.
 
It'd be neat if you could cook grenades. Add some purpose to the throwing back grenades mechanic. Level 32 here and I've never ONCE thrown back one. I'm guessing it would add all kinds of issues though. :P
 
Here something that annoys me a bit.

I like to run looking in opposite directions at times or just left/right and when I know there’s a ledge or obstacle I need to jump on coming up I hit the X and he just doesn’t latch on. It's like I have to be looking towards whatever I need to jump on for him to cling on.
 
Also, what the hell is this facebook thing supposed to do? I logged in, and in the facebook tab, it shows nothing. Under the party tab, it shows my face, my psn name, and my real name.

Is that it?

Bumping up this question again. Anyone use the facebook feature yet?

It's supposed to be an extended friend list. You should be able to see your FB friends under FB tab and be able to send invites to them/join them via FB without knowing their PSN ID/having them on your PSN friend list. Retail will also have the ability to post pics and videos directly to FB iirc.

Ahhh, ok. I created a new facebook account with 0 friends, so maybe that explains why nothing shows up.

As for my real account, I only have 25 friends on there, and I doubt many have a PS3, so mehh.

Doesn't feel like a feature worth using.

How would cooking grenades add purpose to the throwbacks? I've thrown it back a few times and I like that it's kind of difficult to do as it makes it really satisfying when you do manage to do it.
 
I could have sworn that UC2 had a game mode that is similar to Warzone/Execution from Gears of War where you only have 1 life per round and first to 5 rounds wins. Is that going to be in this beta? I'm a sucker for 1 life a round game types in any game. <3
 
Co-op treasure hunter can go one of two ways:

1. extremely fun matches (win or lose) with 4 people who know what they are doing.
2. extremely frustrating matches watching your teammate or opponents play deathmatch with bots and completely ignore capturing treasures.


on a patch related bug, has anybody experienced not being able to back out of matchmaking? i seem to get stuck once in a while ever since the patch.
 
I'm still not a fan of co-op hunter. I'm not feeling that mode at all. I still have to play like 6 matches to complete 10 played matches. :(

By the way, I remember in Uncharted 2, you'd get a lot more money at the end of Plunder if your team managed to score all 5 idols. I don't think I've gotten over 30k in any match so far. I'm curious to see the difference in cash between someone who actually scores the treasure versus someone who just goes and kills people.

If you're not quick enough to press circle when a game finishes, you'll be stuck with the same team. I know a lot of people (including me) suggested to keep the players once a match finishes to decrease the amount of waiting, but the time limit is very short to exit the lobby. I heard too many people yesterday saying that they couldn't leave or asking how do they leave the lobby. It's a nice addition for sure since the waiting has been decreased, but maybe up the time to be able to exit for a few seconds?
 
Getting stuck in a wall when spawning on buddy ftl. And loss of connection or whatever the dc icon is for, is it client or server side? Getting it from time to time, pops up at bad moments. Everything is moving and I'm frozen.

if they increased the money rewards would you like the mode? reason i ask is because I could care less about xp and money, i just like the matches to be fun and co-op hunter can be a lot of fun at times.
