Plus, I don't think a single thing from this beta will be the same in terms of damage/balance when the retail ships. The fact ND is just changing so much during it probably means they'll fiddle with it more once it all wraps up.

EPIC in their Gears of War 3 beta said they have EVERYTHING being monitored before they want to make any changes. From where people are dying on maps, to what people are getting the most kills with, they kept it all on lock down. Everyone complained about the Sawed-off shot gun in that beta and in the end Cliff reported they aren't changing it, because the data from their feedback showed the gun getting the most kills throughout the whole beta was not the sawed-off, but it was the Gnasher shotgun.

It doesn't seem ND is doing the same kind of approach.
 
if they're sticking with the new health i will gladly never play the MP ever. starhawk is on its way anyway.

maybe they'll up the health in UC2 after UC3 comes out? this way the hardcore guys can play that when all the new/'casual' UC2 players move on to 3. i know it's not likely but it would be cool
 
Has anyone notice that after 1.04 the matchmaking seems alot faster then normal?

And WTF at getting kicked from a game? How the shit?

Apparently enough to make the 1.05 patch in Uncharted 2.

I guess you can say I'm just tired of developers listening to the 'majority' and making changes that makes the daily players' experience a lot worse. Once that 'majority' is no longer there due to another multiplayer game coming out, the people that stick around with it get screwed over in the end. It happened in Uncharted 2, and I don't want it to happen to Uncharted 3. I congratulate Naughty Dog's efforts for having over a million people play the beta, but nobody knows if those million of people will stick around after months of it being released. Naughty Dog wants a shitload of players playing this game, and it's understandable thinking about it in a business perspective. Obviously they want to listen to the majority for the time being since that's where the big cake is at. But like I said, once that big cake is gone, you're left with us who stuck around after the cake was long finished with a not so fun game anymore unless you get used to the changes (Uncharted 2).

I haven't updated yet since I wasn't home, but I will try it out in a few minutes to see. G-MAL was already the best weapon, so this is worrisome. :(
 
Okay I'm enjoying the game, and, granted, it's been a couple of months or so since I've played Uncharted 2, but this game seems like it has more jaggies for some reason. The image quality just doesn't look quite as good to me.

Edit: And seriously, two burst kills for GMAL is ridiculous. No gun should be that powerful.

welp, at least they didn't change it after we bought it. I'd like for them to at least be honest with the patch notes.

You need to get over COD man. Plenty games have much lower health than Call of Duty.
 
Ugh. Haven't updated yet today, but I'm definitely bummed about the reduced health everybody is talking about.

Well, I guess some things are too good to be true.
 
It did feel a bit weird tonight. I guess this is what you guys are talking about. I thought the rifles were fine. Glad they tweaked the pistols a bit in whatever update that was, but I would have left the rifles alone.
 
Are ND taking the piss or just trolling the shit out of us?

Because this ain't funny no more! why are they "fixing" shit once again that doesn't need to be fixed? :\

Wasn't it always too bursts? At least it has been for me since that start of the beta.
 
I think I'm glad I'm busy rereading ASoIaF right now. Turning on the beta to see some horrible shit like 1.05 U2 would kill me inside.

Really, weird, I thought it was 2 provided every burst hit. Well if they changed it I don't like it, because I don't like things that are different.
 
god damn it, every single game i went into on chateau had some asshole glitching and shooting through walls. now i also keep getting put into games in progress, its me and level 1s against 30s and 40s.

fucking rage inducing so i turned it off.

I mentioned this glitch like a week ago, and the fact it still hasn't been fixed is ridiculous.

It's the one where he gets on the roof of that building right and can see through the whole map? It's stupid. :/

FAL kills in two bursts, not the GMAL, it still kills in 3 bursts.

I would rather not have limp dick guns in the game, right now all the guns are pretty damn good.

Is it possible that they are just trying out different balancing presets? Maybe they have three of those and want to see how players react.

). They most like saw the bullet sponge bitching by people who want this to play like COD and they tweaked it to please them.
 
I don't get why they do this. The UC2 patch feedback, from what I saw, was extremely negative. Why did they never change it back?

The fact that they're even messing with this in the beta for 3 already is scary. Something as major as health shouldn't be messed with, the balance of everything gets fucked up.
 
Seriously fuck ND for lowering the health.
Melee is so OP now people just run up shoot a couple bullets and melee dead instantly.

All they had to change was reduce ak 47 kickback as it was too hard to use for those starting out instead they fuck with the health.

Also coop hunter is one of the worst modes I have ever played. Playing as villains it is imposible lose > run in choke goodguys repeat.

But it is. BleachEX says in hardcore it still takes 3 bursts but I'm pretty sure I've been killing there with only two bursts.
 
I could have sworn it's only taken two bursts to kill with the G-MAL all along, provided all bullets connect. Has ND really reduced the health? Didn't feel like it to me when I played today (eh, yesterday). Para has been made a viable alternative to the Micro and maybe the AK does more damage and... eh, that's about it, as far as I can tell.
 
i've just realised i had the most fun in the beta in the first few days, and since then its been very slowly decreasing

It's probably the modes that you're playing or dumb people glitching.

Hopefully with the new map and a couple new modes being added this Sunday it might change.

Although for me, I've been having a blast playing plunder.

Nope, g-mal would kill with 3 burst. I know this, because when I would kill a guy, I would burst 3 shots, then run away, because there is always this one second lag before they die, so I knew I pumped him with enough bullets to get away safely. I would always count in my head "1, 2, 3, roll away". He still lived, I would go back and finish him off.

People said that it was reduced after 1.04, so I tried it out. "1, 2.....ohh, he's dead"

It is definitely 2 bursts now which is TERRIBLE. Makes the g-mal the best gun in the game. No fucking question.

God damn it ND. Why do they always have to go and fuck something up? Did ANYONE complain about the g-mal damage?! Seriously?!
