Uncharted 4: A Thief's End Gameplay (E3 2015)

Wow... now that's what I'm talking about THIS IS NEXT GEN.

I really want that video in higher quality.

was the driving bit on-rails?

No. They were clearly picking from a variety of paths.

I love how the cover disintegrates if you sit still for to long. Sure, heaps of all that is scripted but I do not give one fuck about scripting if they make it feel as seamless as that. Absolutely kings.

This and Horizon are clearly beyond whatever has been done so far in this gen.
Amazing.
And basically open world confirmed.

I wouldn't go that far. Horizon looks very similar to the Witcher 3. UC4 has taken the destruction to the next level for sure.

The destructible environments were super impressive and the open layout of everything really adds to the excitement. I feel like they really are trying for a more open version of a linear game.
They're making their set-pieces include as much agency as possible within their confines, and beautifully weaving small cinematic moments directly into the action as it unfolds. I'm not all that partial to cinematic games, but I'm all on board the direction Naughty Dog is taking us.

That was far more than simply pushing forward and hitting X at the precise moment like so many AAA demos today.

I laughed at first when the demo broke and they restarted it from the beginning, but then I realized that I wouldn't have believed it was actually gameplay if that didn't happen.

Absolutely unreal looking game. I can't believe I was ever on the fence. It's a must buy for sure.

I've always wanted a driving segment in this series. Naughty Dog making my dreams cone true. Everything looked fantastic. That trailer was ridiculously short though. :(

I really enjoyed that gameplay trailer. I haven't touched an Uncharted game since the first one and I don't intend to anytime soon, but a person has to be unbelievable to watch that and not be impressed.

I spent the entire demo with my eyebrows in my hairline. Holy shit, Naughty Dog.

The new Sully model is rather attractive. Stupid sexy Sully (and Nate).

This is what i'm talking about! The game looks great! It's a good thing that Sony doesn't have much coming out this year, as it'll give me ample time to enjoy the Nathan Drake Collection! Really excited about this game.

Surpasses Uncharted 2 at E3 09, in my opinion.

Loved the colors, was worried the entire game would use the color palette present in the PSX trailer.

The game looks amazing, though it seems like Drake can't pick up grenades thrown by enemies (or at least the icon didn't appear). Hopefully that feature is implemented in the final game.

Laughed a lot at the movement glitch. I need a PS4 now.

You could drive a jeep in U1? I don't remember that, and I played it early this year.

Yeah, no? Or was it elena driving and nate shooting?

This looked absolutely insane.

Naughty Dog is really crafty. No idea how they put that chase scene together which seems to have so many paths.

Wasn't overly impressed initially. I think the initial reveal really built up to a crescendo where this showed more gun play which I don't think was that impressive. It all felt like we've been here before a la dejavu and not in a good way. The initial reveal however imo was far superior.

However, when you take in the views, the clean IQ, the destructibility, the illusion of the many different paths, it was great, Not U2 reveal great by a long shot though imo. Again, I thought the gunplay, other than a couple of instances, looked plain. IIRC, no blood?, no improvement in hit detection? Don't know will need to watch again.

Not sure if some of the dialogue is coming across a bit forced too?....

Blown away. Best Uncharted demo they've ever done. It's like John Woo's minutia destruction porn had a baby with Bad Bays 2 and Jackie Chan's large scale wanton destruction set pieces.

Insane. This game might blow the entire rest of the series out of the water entirely.

This was far, far more technically impressive than The Order. So much more going on. Such huge environments. So much player freedom.

What an achievement.

The guy wasn't talking about technically. He was talking about "looks". And I haven't seen any game developer yet top the artistic look of The Order even if they are using a bunch of cheats.

Thank you for focusing on destruction ND. Love how you can't remain in some spots for cover for too long, keeping you constantly on your toes. All those little details like with the sandbags and the debris flying everywhere will make the game so much more dynamic and fun to play.

Hopefully a lot of the destruction will carry over into multiplayer.
