I can live with it but
call me crazy but we still don't know it actually is Carvel. Show could be pulling a fast one and Anton just recognised the name. At least i hope so

Fucking amazing hour of television though. Love the different sides of characters they show, loving this new Dugdale.

I feel that the way that we all called that he was Carvell has made it seem too obvious, possible red herring? I don't see a reason why Ian pointed out that he drew a different car, seems irrelevant unless its to give as evidence that he isn't Carvell.

He meant it wasn't their car because they stole it, not that it was a different car.

This fucking series. Hnnng I'm loving it all so far. Can someone refresh my memory on why Wilson Wilson decided to join the organization though?

He agreed with them basically

Remember he freed that Corvat ceo dude last series when they had him captured

Not the largest surprise, but an enjoyable episode, although it felt like filler content than story or character progression for the most part. It also felt like they were repeating a few tricks here, Ian's blame for the murder similar to the school shooting last series, and a few other nods. Jessica's escape was a bit ridiculous, with the Network not restraining her or keeping guards watch at the medical facility.

BLowing medical waste out of your nose....this show is crazy

They did restrain her, she had the spring from the pen in her mouth from last episode.

Another great ep, Arby is friggin' awesome.

I just remembered that none of our protagonists know about the true nature of Project Janus yet. Only that it was part of a conspiracy to depopulate the Earth; it's not like they were completely de-briefed by Milner (Mr. Rabbit) during the last episode of Season 1.

Had never read this interview.

What made you say yes to the role?

What normally happens is that my agent sends me a script, and I look at the first 10 or 20 pages, and my instinct kicks in, and I say yes or no. With this, I sat down just to look at the first 20 pages, and I didn't move for four hours and read all six episodes. I read it back-to-back, I couldn't even go to the loo, I needed to read the next bit, find out what happened next. I don't think I've ever had that with a script before, where it was so gripping. Dennis Kelly's writing was brilliant. I also think he writes for women so well. All the female characters in this are very strong and feisty and full of personality. As soon as I read Becky, I could see her in my brain, and I could see how she was going to say her lines. I got really excited, which is really scary as an actor, because you haven't been offered the part. I had to have four rounds of auditions for this - it was more than getting into RADA! I cancelled a holiday and everything just because I wanted this so much. I was so thrilled when I actually got it.
Are you proud of your Welsh heritage?

Oh yeah, I'm as Welsh as a mountain goat. I love going home, the people that I love most are back home. I've also got loads of Welsh friends in London, and we meet up and, stereotypically, we go and watch the rugby and sing songs.
The series is quite full-on - it doesn't pull many punches, in terms of brutality, does it?

No. I found it exhausting to film, because being on the run from halfway through episode 1 onwards was a lot. We were filming in Liverpool for four months, and every day was really full. The stakes are always really high for the group, there are no scenes where you can really relax and take a back seat. It takes a lot out of you, filming for four months like that. You've got to have so much energy; you can't go on the back foot.

Were you able to have fun amidst all the intensity?

Yeah. I've had more fun on other sets, in a way, because this required a lot of brain power, and used up so much energy. Because the story is so complex, and we were shooting it out of sequence, it was really hard work. But we all made friends and had a really good time together. We were all in this apartment block in the middle of Liverpool, and we were just thrown together, a bit like we are in the series. On my first day on set, I had to do a sex scene with Nathan. When you start a new job anyway, you get nervous, so I was a bit nervous anyway, and then I had to take all my clothes off and pretend to have sex with this guy that I didn't even know yet. So it was those kinds of situations that really bonded us. If you don't laugh when you're doing it then you could go mental. We all had a really good time together. I loved working with Nathan, who I'd seen in Misfits, and Adeel, who was hilarious in Three Lions.

Sounds like an intense shoot. Hadn't thought of it like that, but yeah the female characters are great.

Channel 4 said series 2 wouldn't be released on Blu-ray but there are listings for it on Amazon and Zavvi but without images and you can't pre-order, so perhaps it is coming out after all, sooner or later. It deserves to be seen in HD so it would be a shame if it doesn't come out.

WHUT? That doesn't make sense, not after how quickly they announced and subsequently released the S1 boxset right after the season finale aired.

If any show deserves to be on the best quality, it's this show.

If it's not Carvell maybe there's an organisation out there dedicated to countering The Network?
The Network are damn efficient in squashing threats but the crop of characters we're following can't be the first to fight back can they?

Milner's only weakness appears to be Carvell so if you were going to target her surely that's what they'd exploit and as they'd have to act now so the timing is right to play their trump card.
If they can use somebody that once shared a ward with him all the better. Hell it may be the real Carvell that's using the potential imposter.

Oh and thanks for the baby Arby answers.

I reckon the dude who raised Jessica Hyde after Carvell left her could've been a part of such an organization.

Whatever happened to him again? I think he was shown in S1 as an older person, but I forgot what his ultimate fate was.

This show looks so goooooood. Every wide shot is just delightful.

Lee is such a unique villain, I hope he meets his end this time around though.

What Christos?

Arby killed him when he was 15 if I am remembering correctly. Something about ripping his skin off (or something horrid like that)

I think Wilson is gonna play a big role this season. Dunno why, got myself a gut feeling.

I guessed the theory of the who the old man was *smug*

The opening to the episode! Soon as I saw his boss walk in the door, I thought, 'yep tha's you gone' but not in that fashion!

'Yep, we definitely can't say it's suicide'

I think bringing Lee back was an arse-pull. Sure, we never technically knew he was dead but he's not really an interesting character at all.

There's pre-existing dynamics with Pietr and Wilson but the former doesn't seem to give that much of a shit about Lee, and the latter needs something more interesting to do than getting pissed off about his dead dad again.

I somewhat agree of bringing Lee back but then I always wanted to see more of him as I felt he was underused in the last series.

Disagree about him and Wilson teaming up. It's a fantastically, deranged buddy dynamic between the two. Teaming someone up with a person who's taken your eye and killed your father, what's not to like.

Couldn't disagree more, I think his mannerisms and appearance make for an incredibly menacing and darkly funny character. I was disappointed he was only in one episode last season, really glad they brought him back. His conversation with Arby at the dinner table is one of my favorite scenes of the series thus far.

I just don't see any more to him than "wackjob henchman". He's obnoxious and a means to an end. He's not even good at his job.

This ends with him dead - which won't be satisfying, given that that happened already - or somehow being rehabilitated by Pietr, which fuck that, he's still going to be an annoying prick no matter what side he's on.

Have to disagree. While Arby/Pietr is the more menacing, Lee is still an effective villain. Arby can violently kill people (and rabbits) because he's emotionally maladjusted. Lee can violently kill people because he doesn't care. He's just "doing his job." That, his vaguely cheerful manner and sense of humour and his appearance (very narrow shoulders, bright yellow suit and now partial paralysis) make him distinctive. Wilson working with Lee is also the mirror to Arby working with Becky and co so it works for me.

The best Lee bit this season was him casually reaching for his electronic cigarette at the table with Arby and putting a gun on the table before pocketing it again, all without anyone else in the same room seeing it.

i don't buy lee as a threat tbh. he's creepy as hell but i keep thinking 'why doesn't somebody just bottle this twat in the head already'

it doesn't help that he only has one arm too. him and arby are disturbing as hell for sure. but i'd think an organization this important and powerful would have jason bourne working for them. not some armless nut and a man with breathing difficulties.

their power of the media is far more intimidating to me. the ability to brand you a pedophile or murderer in an instant is quite terrifying.
