Sounds like you had a rough Trot.
Trans people have unfortunately been used as a political weapon. Wether it's the toilet debate, gender pronouns or hormone blockers being given to 6 year olds.

Most people I know wish the best for trans people. Hope they find what makes them happy, hope they live a productive life etc.

What they don't like is the way the left are forcing it down people's throats, well above what trans people themselves want even.
Men playing womens sports, forced pronouns, Twitter mobs trying to get you sacked from your job if you think there are only two sexs.

Most trans people just want to go along to get along. Being used as a political football isn't on their wish list.

I say it is a mental illness, not as an insult, but because it effects peoples mental health, and the mind does not match the body.
There are trans able people who think their arm doesnt belong to them. It feels alien. They want to chop it off as it causes them distress. ALOT get limbs amputated to try and find a solution.
Everyone would say that is a mental illness, and to me trans gender is the exact same thing.
No Malice meant by it. I hope they get the best help to deal with their situation.
I would hate to be in the same situation.

That doesnt make me transphobic. It doesn't mean I am scared of trans people, it doesnt mean I hate trans people.

With things like this SI swimsuit cover, its like they want a backlash against trans people. Its like they are trying to create conflict. Like I said, using trans people as a political wedge.

That's my thoughts anyway, for what it's worth.

I think most transgender/transsexual people (the ones with medically diagnosed gender dysphoria) are incredibly uncomfortable with all the demands much of the so-called "community" calls for these days. I know I sure am...and I think any post male puberty trans woman who enters female sporting events or anyone who gets angry when people don't want to date them are dealing with some serious narcissistic issues. You would think these people would understand how their entitled attitudes can and will anger people and backfire against their hopeful outcomes.

Then again, I believe these people have a weird case of narcissistic personality disorder...so they have no care whatsoever about the effects their words or actions have on the lives of others. :lollipop_pensive:

Does your 2D:4D ratio show signs of this? Mine's quite high and I've always been a bit different in unwanted ways. :pie_thinking:

Y'know...I'm not sure! I need to look into that more. My ring finger and index finger are the same length, so I'm not sure what that means. 🤔

The only way you could say someone is definitely male/female despite what their body is, is if you believe people have a soul and that their soul is male/female. But a belief in souls opens up a whole can of worms that leads to religion in some capacity. And I don't think there's a lot of trans issue supports who are religious.

Thoughts?

I'm sorry if anything I've said is offensive. I'm trying to share what it feels like coming from the other side.

Nothing offensive at all! I always appreciate the call for open discussion. :)

I'm definitely a person of Christian faith, and it's my faith in the love and grace of the Lord that helped me get through all the struggles I've faced in life.

I've often thought that my spirit is that of a woman. I even used to hold onto the idea that once this earthly body dies and I am given a glorified new spiritual body in Heaven...would my new body appear female? I have no idea if souls actually even have gender, but I like to think they might. :messenger_halo:

You taught me alot with your comment. I thought it was just a psychological thing when people chose to change genders. But you taught me that there's actual physical changes to the body that can cause a person to feel different about themselves. I'm really happy that you shared your experience with is since I personally don't have alot of experience with transgenders. Not because I don't want to socialize with them but because I really haven't seen any around where I live.

I always love reading about people's experiences because it helps me understand them better.

Again thank you for sharing.

Thank you so very much!! ❤

That's why I like NeoGAF so much. I'm so tired of all the anger and judgment in the world- People are far too quick to see people as enemies who must be destroyed. Shared discussion with open hearts and empathy are how we make the world a truly better place for everyone. ❤

Ailynn, I hope you often tell your friends you believe in “male and female He created them.” It will mean more coming from you in the Year of Our Lord 2020.

Absolutely! The problem is I think some people are trying too hard to change the meaning from "male and female" to "male and female combined." :lollipop_downcast_sweat:

I absolutely believe that God's intended design is people are born either male or female. There are of course those who slip through the cracks and may have some semblance of a blending of the sexes (such as intersex people and other people who were born with prenatal sexual differentiation)...but that is not the intended design. Our world is full of things that cause issues during pregnancy...there are endocrine-disrupting chemicals all around us in life through plastics and other man-made products.

I don't believe God ever wants an innocent baby to be born with any health issues, and I think it breaks His heart to see it when it happens. Still, this is a sinful world where we are allowed free will, and sins have consequences...for ourselves and in the lives of others around us. People have all sorts of issues in this life, but sometimes we are allowed to go through struggles in life to become stronger. If we can manage to stay strong and hold onto faith, unforeseen blessings can await us that wouldn't have even been possible before.

i am glad you have faith, i have struggled.

the big thing i struggled with is the condemnation of non-conforming sexuality. It is pretty explicit. but you know what else is explicit? The condemnation of all sexual activity that isnt done for procreation. So anyone who masturbates, looks at porn, fantasises, engages in sex with contraception, etc is in the same boat. We all sinners, lets break bread. ”There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.”

and idk what it is like after death, but I like this poem:

We live today under a new world order,

The web which weaves together all things envelops our bodies,

Bathes our limbs,

In a halo of joy.

Greets us each morning as a commonplace.

What men considered a dream, perfect but remote,

We take for granted as the simplest of things.

But we are not contemptuous of these men;

We know how much we owe to their dreaming,

We know that without the web of suffering and joy which was their history, we would be nothing,

We know that they kept within them an image of us, through their fear and in their pain, as they collided in the darkness,

As little by little, they wrote their history.

We know that they would not have survived, that they could not have survived, without that hope somewhere deep within,

They could not have survived without their dream.

Now that we live in the light,

Now that we live in the presence of the light

Which bathes our bodies,

Envelops our bodies,

In a halo of joy,

Now that we have settled by the water’s edge,

And here live in perpetual afternoon

Now that the light which surrounds our bodies is palpable,

Now that we have come at last to our destination

Leaving behind a world of division,

The way of thinking which divided us,

To bathe in a serene, fertile joy

It's bizarre to me how this kind of thing is constantly at the forefront of media. In a magazine known for advertising to men using attractive women, this happens. It's like intentional divisiveness.

From the few trans people I've known, this is the exact opposite of what they want, they want to pass, not to be the focus of some media showcase constantly highlighting how they're trans and not natural females.

I am so very sorry for the struggles you've dealt with, and my belief is the same as yours regarding all of that. So many people are so quick to judge others- I've often felt it is a way that people try to make themselves feel better about their own shortcomings. All sin is equal. None of us are better than anyone else in the eyes of the Lord.

God knows your pain and your sorrows...He feels your heartaches with you, and understands your struggles. He sees you for all that you are...and He loves you more than we can ever fully understand. 💖

"Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that He may lift you up in due time. Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you."
- 1 Peter 5:6-7

"For neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord."
- Romans 8:38-39

gross. are they all trans?

Seriously if you can't tell the difference between a trans person and a woman or a man for that matter, that is on you. If by chance, no one told you about the context of the cover and you only saw 3 women nothing wrong with that, this is what they were hoping for at best.

Still even not knowing the context or topic there is always a give away like someone copy pasted two different things to create a new thing, it is uncanny and an unsettling feeling trying to make up your mind about what you are looking at. Models by their nature are already weird looking uncommon creatures so they tend to all look a little uncanny.

I think this was a bad move to be honest, SI knows what that Swimsuit Issue meant to men, sure men are changing, we are being pushed to be a lot softer these days but there are still men out here who remember why they like these models.

We know deep inside real women don't look like models, models are the dream level, a fantasy. A LIE. But they do exist on these covers. Now you put a boy front page and you tell men to believe SHE is one of these Dream level Women. I think one day this shit is going to backfire hard unless all men have been drinking something that makes us all just a little more relaxed to go with the flow.

Hopefully plastic surgury tech gets a whole lot better at this.

I am not sure if we need to treat trans like the Special Olympics and give them a stage of their own, or continue to pretend they are who they identify as and host them on a cover that was created for males to enjoy the most beautiful fantasy level women out there.

In many ways this is just sexualizing of women backfiring on men. It is like we all have to become flexible in our sexuality to accept these changing times. And some of us are just not as flexible as others.

You can tell by that cover nature is not putting the female padding where it needs to be, this is a medical condition these folks are Special people.

Not sure how many straight men would fuck the model in the middle of that cover and not feel a little gay afterwards. If you like what you see you are already in that flexible zone. Nothing wrong with being flexible or gay but it is the lying to ourselves part that becomes dangerous.

We get the issue we may even understand the trauma these folks have to live with trying to find an identity, but society is pretending it is easy to change everyone's wiring to make room for this issue.

It is a serious issue but I am not sure if forcing the image on males to accept a trans as his dream fantasy girl is the ideal solution.

No worries, guys. None of the women on the cover are transgender. It's "safe" to find them attractive. :lollipop_grinning_sweat:

(Really...all any of this does is make me extremely thankful I no longer care about trying to date anyone. It's always either guys get angry or disgusted at the first realization I'm trans, or they are fetishists who lose interest once they learn I'm post-op.) :messenger_neutral:

I used a gender swap app once. Let's just say, I'd fuck me. It would be just like the boat scene. Traps make good handles.

I used to watch Germany's Next Top Model with one of my best buddies for over ten years.
Was always fun, eating steaks in before, drinking lots of beer and rum, smoking cigars, just having a fun time watching pretty girls behaving like idiots to win some shallow prize and debating which one is hotter.

A few years ago they introduced the first trans person in there. While this is entertaining in its own way, and I certainly don't have a problem with trans people, this was weird to me and my buddy, since we could not just enjoy watching beautiful females anymore, but had to double check if it wasn't one of the trans persons we were seeing in that scene before allowing yourself getting aroused and "feeling gay afterwards". : D

We ended up stopping watching that show because of that.

lol that is one cruel social experiment to pull on a man's libido

just hearing the word trans and we start second guessing ourselves :messenger_weary:
this shit ain't fun when your mind is trying to store images and data to fap to in private later

Confusing, until they speak. That's the biggest turn off...well there is another issue, but yeah good job on the looks.

Just watched the video.
WTF is everybody talking about?
I know multiple biological women who speak lower than that.
And I checked them thoroughly, if you know what I mean.

P.S. was expecting Bass Profundo or at least a Baritone. Got plain Alto instead...

It's that weird mix of high and low tones, it's not "coherent sound" if that makes sense...

That's called "vocal fry" and a lot of American women speak with a lot of it.
It may sound gross for a low voice. But I think it's because a non-native speaker tries to sound "better".

Possible, but it's really off puting for me and I don't like it, because I recognize that those people who go through this, went through hell... So it's shitty from me, but what can I do...

But I think it's more prejudice than actual stuff.😂
Because again. Cannot show examples right now, but there are actual women who speak much "worse" than that.

They might sound worse, but they don't have that trans voice, I am not sure how to definite it. And I am kind of voice whore, I judge people based on voice, so yeah I am guilty. What's her name....hmm Blair White on youtube I think. She is past this "trans voice" phase. So yeah, they can do it.

Dunno. Checked out Blaire. She speaks in a classic California Girl voice.
Just some training.
I'm not really sure I like it though.
