PS5 also has screen tearing, just less.Every close between the 2 consoles and even better AF, and no screen tearing is a win for PS5, over the XSX power narrative.

Yeah but it's hilarious evangelize FPS over the resolution when the series X hardware it's clearly designed to have an edge in terms of resolution more than FPS.?
The median frame rate on Series X is 60fps, which is the target.

And he laugh. Now tell me more CUs are there for the FPS, come on.
Again with the BC games at 120 fps? Again? Can you show me the list of all those games which runs better at 120 FPS on series X when this mode it's available on both console?120FPS Games - PS5, XBX, XBS
120FPS feature was something that both Sony and MS used in their marketing before the new console launched. Below is a list of all 120FPS games available across PS5, XBX, and XBS; Playstation 5 Xbox Series X Xbox Series S Borderlands 3 Alien Isolation (via FPS Boost) Battle Chasers...www.neogaf.com
40TF GPU???? LmfaoOh man, compared to how PS4 and X1 were weak on release in 2013 this time around both PS5 and XsX are truly beasts.
Honestly, since both consoles are strong i can even see this gen lasts for 8 years (with PS5 pro around 2024, same cpu/ssd but around 40TF GPU)
So a minimum resolution difference of 12000 pixels is "slightly lower" but a 0.02 median framerate increase is "better performance"?
It's so funny seeing fanboys wanting a win for their plastic box
Your dreaming if the PS5 Pro is gonna have a 40tf GPU. End of....Well RTX 3080 in 2020 has 30Teraflops so, depends how will tech develop in next 4 years, its quite possible to have something like RTX 7060 in 2024 with 40TF.
So who knows, nobody even thought we would have 699$ 30tf GPU in 2020.
I mean it's not like series X run at the same resolution of ps5 if we want to be honest. Call it a win it's a stretch. As always, PS5 always wins.
I already mentioned this above, Ampere (RTX 30 series) teraflops are not comparable with Turing (20 series) or with current AMD RDNA2 architectures. There's been a number of articles and videos done on the subject of teraflop comparison being irrelevant at this point. You just have to look at 3080 and 6800XT being near identical in performance and yet 3080 has 10 more teraflops. It is for this reason that Ampere teraflops and how they're calculated is an irrelevant point of comparing or measuring teraflops. As we're talking about consoles with AMD architecture it is best we stick to RDNA2 teraflops.Well RTX 3080 in 2020 has 30Teraflops so, depends how will tech develop in next 4 years, its quite possible to have something like RTX 7060 in 2024 with 40TF.

It is what it is broI mean it's not like series X run at the same resolution of ps5 if we want to be honest. Call it a win it's a stretch.
675P is that a typing error?
It's not surely a win One has better resolution the other better AF. FPS it's practically a tie looking at the statistics. It is what it is bro
No, but base resolution absolute minimums don't matter much in temporal reconstruction methods. Watch the video. The resolution isn't that bad at all. It looks 1080p to me. PS5 nearly hits 1080p minimum and reconstructs up to near 4k but that doesn't matter because the end image quality is fine.675P is that a typing error?
Let's no compare reconstructed 1180p at 4k Vs 675p at 1080p. Could not end well. You should definitely notice when it drops at 675p. Avengers on ps5 it's a good example of what I mean. No, but base resolution absolute minimums don't matter much in temporal reconstruction methods. Watch the video. Well almost nobody was able to buy a 30tf GPU at $699 in 2020 so, in a sense, we were rightWell RTX 3080 in 2020 has 30Teraflops so, depends how will tech develop in next 4 years, its quite possible to have something like RTX 7060 in 2024 with 40TF.

https://wccftech.com/xbox-head-phil-spencer-60fps/Why do you care about 60fps?
https://in.ign.com/phil-spencer/144...-frame-rate-is-more-important-than-resolutionFrame rate to me is significantly more important to gameplay than resolution and the mix of those two which brings the right art style and freedom.
In the same article: "Don’t get me wrong. I love frame rate. I love Ori, it’s one of the reasons I love playing Forza Motorsport. But you have to go back to what you said before: most people. What frame rate does Minecraft run at?"It seems to be a confusing choice for a lot of folks. Including Phil Spencer.....

Funny how that works.
Also, I'm not seeing the texture filtering advantage for the PS5 based on the video at all. Check out the piece of wood below and the wall. It is unmistakable those things look superior on the Series X side. Series X may also have higher quality shadows, or is that just the higher resolution showing up? It's possible that the two games do different things with texture filtering in different areas, but I'm not seeing an across the board texture filtering advantage for the PS5 across the shots I'm grabbing directly from the video.
The crispier sections of the below screen grab for example definitely looks best on the Series X as compared to the PS5. Resolution? Texture filtering? It looks better on Series X.
You are seeing thing here according to your bias my guy. VGtech is the one who test it. I even place them above DF for accuracy.Funny how that works.

Both of your sources quote him saying that he enjoys framerate. Why are you coming in here with the shit posts lmao
Even DF said AF was higher on ps5 anyway. You are seeing thing here according to your bias my guy. VGtech is the one who test it. I even place them above DF for accuracy.
It's all interesting. But I still miss what you see clearly better on series X in the screenshot posted. I even zoomed in it but I have no clue of what your talking about. Oh I see you misinterpreting the motion blur on ps5 in the first screen to better texture and shadows on series X. Wow.Funny how that works.

Textures actually appear the same. Textures sometimes appear blurrier than it actually is.Funny how that works.

It's true DF did mention ps5 has better texture filtering in this game at 30fps rtx mode. What I mean generally, VGtech gives more accurate pixel counting, and mention what specific scenes those resolutions are located. They provide a data sheet with torn frame and frame drop and lots of information. The video also have prolong scences for frame rate testing unlike DF. I mean the way VGtech testing and present their video is boring, but it gives us more accuracy and data than DF. We do not have to rely on what DF commentary tell us what and what. The data is there.Even DF said AF was higher on ps5 anyway.
Holy shit for what difference? I have extreme difficult to find any if it wasn't just for the math pixels count.Holy shit was a diffrence man.
I did not expect this wow.
"Obviously" as obviously it can see the AF difference I guessSince the median framerate is 60fps on all three, it's fair to say they all have a consistent framerate, the main difference is obviously resolution.

Median is a useless stat. It is when the engine is stressed that they will show the biggest differences. PS5 has better fps under stress. Xbox has slightly higher resolution. PS5 has better texture filtering.
Did you check this thread?Holy shit for what difference? I have extreme difficult to find any if it wasn't just for the math pixels count.
I don't think XSX has a meaningful real world bandwidth advantage at all due to split RAM bandwidth, slower SSD/IO (thus less memory amount and bandwidth savings on RAM) and slower caches having less bandwidth. I personaly think that even the contrary can be true and 'maybe' this consistently higher degree of texture filtering across the titles on PS5 is an indication of it.Yup, I said PS5 had better AF when I saw the first comparisons of this game, so PS5 already had this advantage in the 30 fps mode. I even took some shots that I still have.

Honestly, I have no idea why PS5 has better texture filtering. Series X has more bandwidth and should have a slight edge when it comes to AF, but that the way things are. And this is not the only case where we can see better AF on PS5. Maybe it's something related to devkits, who knows.
