Video game series with the most disappointing graphical evolution?

Monkey Island's visuals peaked at the third game and its been downhill ever since.

Oh good, someone posted Monkey Island!
I gotta say, that is a very forgiving screenshot for Escape From Monkey Island. The town areas were just terrifying.

I swear DBZ games get uglier and uglier with each game.

I agree that BL looked fantastic back in 2008 but that's not a good/fair comparison. I'm aware that Xenoverse has problems on consoles (i played it on PC and looks great there, much better than any previous entry of the series), but that's not a good pic to judge any version of the game. Neither is the BL one tbh.

I made this post last page lol.

I was afraid to use that first image though because of the deviant art thing. I didn't know if it was touched up...or a promotional picture or something.
But yeah I agree. That bloom...ugh

You can turn it off on PC and the game looks much better. I don't know if you can do that on consoles too.

I always thought it looked like it was even further behind than that.

If we're talking about modern entries in the series, it's an hyperbole but i can get why someone would say that. If we're talking about the first two gen then... No, not really. Those games were incredible for GB/GBC.
