Pretty cool. Shows off the newest features of VF5, such as a fully functioning Item Quest, new costumes and items as well as being able to view tournament replays on the VF.net terminal. Version C should be available this weekend, as VF.net says that the game will stop accepting current version replays this Saturday... so the new version should be in all arcades by Sunday or Monday.

VF.net is also holding a Version C campaign where Item Quests can be taken for free instead of the 5,000G it will normally cost for an Item Quest. Why they're gonna charge people for this, I have no idea. The game is getting it's butt kicked by several other games in the arcades... the best thing to do would be to have this free permanently to encourage players to play, but whatever.

That Version C commercial is pretty funny. Going fairly "wacky" with the costumes it seems.

I've never liked the pokey-jerkiness of VF, but I'll be damned if every replay didn't look like it came straight out of an old-school kung-fu flick, which was the thing that really awed me about this game - nice replays Reno!

This game is going to be sweet online...

I would probably expect it, it seems like a simple patch that could and probably would and should be given for free.

Sega hasn't said anything about the PS3 build getting a patch, unfortunately.

Thanks for the compliments on the replays too! I'm pretty bad at VF compared to the people I have to play against in my area -- I play at Monte Carlo, which is supposedly the strongest arcade for Tekken and VF competition in the Osaka area -- but thankfully even I can get the best of the champ at times.

New costume items for VF5 Version C

Played Version C today.

Here are a list of all the changes for each character. Do not expect new moves or characters cuz all this version will be is a rebalancing.

I saved a replay of me completing one round of Item Quest, where I got a shitty bag :lol The video won't be available for rendering until tomorrow though (takes one day to process the request and then 2 - 3 hours to render it).

Akira is changed quite a bit though. He can now do CH Yoho, P, f+KP, DLC as a combo on Lion, and for anyone heavier he can replace DLC with Akira Special 3

I played a Kage and noticed that his Hurricane Stance d+KK still knocks down. Ugh.

That's about it for now.. I'll play more later. I only got to play against an army of Kages and Akiras today... oh, and one Pai. Ergh.

New items for all characters went online today on VF.net, including the ones in my previous post. I don't have a lot of gold to spend on items (plus my rank is miserably low... I guess playing 10 matches per week isn't helping me improve. :O) but I managed to pick up these three items from VF.net today. Woot. I especially like Goh's medical eyepatch

Yeah, there are a ton of new items, but unfortunately because I'm low ranked I don't get access to all of the items available. Playing at what's probably the top arcade in Osaka means I get beat down more than I beat people down. :lol

A lot of the new items are very flashy and gaudy, at least for my rank. Everything is shiny and glimmery, like what WWE wrestlers used to wear back in the 80s. I was kind of interested in buying them but the price was too high for the complete set (23,000 gold whereas I had about 10,000 to go around three characters) so I ended up buying just the head items since they looked cool and wacky.

I think they opened the hair textures in Photoshop and started playing with the colors.
