I know how that feel. My Patapon looks cuter on on my PSP Go rather than my vita because of th stretched resolution
Stretching resolution on Vita OLED wouldn't hurt 3D games like MGS

thank god its a slowish paced game which doesnt rely on your reflexes so much. Bad framerate absolutely killed the jak and daxter collection on vita due to this.

for nlks i've gotten 3 hours of great framerate enjoyment so far. worth my 10$.

Haha... again, there's another game that I really wanted to play but avoided due to framerate issues.
On the bright side, judging from the recent beta, better looking games like Killzone Mercenary clearly has no framerate issues so it's not really a hardware issue.

Im not sure if this has already been mentioned but i noticed jak and daxter is free on PS+ for PS Vita in the UK online store, i was wondering if they would make the mistake and it seems they have 
$21.95 for the Vita version of Spelunky on the Aussie store.

It costs more to ship to Australia. We also have to price fairly for our retail partners.

I assume it's the spike traps, right?
You definitely have to fake them out. Get the spike to pop out, then ascend while it's retracting.
The jump boots help a lot for that area. Obviously the jetpack is king, but that can be next to impossible to obtain every run without going to the spaceship.
If you have the bombs, just bomb them

Spelunky is absolutely amazing on the Vita. Fantastic.

Besides the slow-down at certain levels, it really is.
In order to unlock shortcuts you need to beat each world three times. The tunnel man will ask for a different item each time you reach a new world.
The chest keys are random, if you spot a chest with a golden key-hole (they're bigger than normal chests). A key is usually on that stage. Only mine keys from world 1 count.

The key/chest spawns in 1-2 through 1-4. Both parts spawn in the same level. they are required to get a certain item to reach a certain area in a certain world
you get the eye to find the black market hidden in the jungle

Latest download? Little Big Planet 1 .... that was like one of the first IGC games! It completely just went apeshit and shuffled all my IGC games into my download list. Fuck finding anything there again.

Ahh... when he said "mine key", I thought it was something I hadn't seen yet. I've gotten the item you speak of though... so ok, now I understand.

I only have an 8. Thank god you can back up games onto PC. I just wish the USB (and especially WiFi) game transfer was faster.
Why is WiFi so slow? I can copy a 1gb file between my desktop and laptop 10 times faster over wifi than I can transfer a 1gb game between my PC and Vita using the same wifi.
Sony just sucks at file transfer speed, even on LANs.
I have J&D on the Vita, and the framerate is definitely low, but I didn't find that it made the game unplayable (I'm playing through Jak 2 right now, as I've already beaten 1 on the PS3), and wasn't even close to the levels of shit that R&C FFA was.

Don't have internet at home yet, so I can only see the webstore.

Own Spelunky on 360 and Steam and I beat the game for the first time on Vita lol. Love this game but it's got some pretty bad slowdown on any levels with environmental effects like snow or fog.

It isn't stretched. 4 Vita pixels make up 1 PSP pixel.
Last night I didn't have a lot of time so I thought I'd just buy Spelunky, then I figured I may as well download it. Oh and install it I guess too. And maybe just watch the intro. Ok I'll try the tutorial. And just one real level.

there are certain variations of the ice caves that are much worse than others. normally, its pretty playable. the one rare spawn i had last was pretty bad.

Changes over time, new games take the place of older games on offer. New subscribers only get what's currently available (and what becomes available as long as they're a member) and once obtained never expire (so long as your membership doesn't).
If your membership does expire you can't play the games anymore, but you keep ownership of them for the next time you subscribe.
You have to actually go into the store and 'purchase' the free games so they are added to your download list. Then they are yours until your sub runs out.
The list does change over time, although some seem to be mainstays. (Wipeout, Uncharted, Gravity) If you miss the Freeness, then you missed it, no way to get it for free now unless they offer it up again. BUT! If you download the free game then you 'own' it via PS+. You can access it as long as you have PS+.
I said this in Vita threads many time before today's 2DS announcement, Sony need to offer a cheaper version of Vita.
they need to make a 2nd version of Vita with smaller and regular ass LCD screen and cheaper form factor for $150 or less and Sony will reach many news people with it and if someone want the better Vita then they also can, not sure why Sony didn't went with this already since Samsung offers tons of version of Galaxy and Nintendo know that price is the most important thing for the handheld market.

18 hearts, chalice, gloves, 20 bombs, 8 ropes, and the jet pack at the end of 3-4. I had to pause it and put it in sleep mode.
If i ever had a chance to beat spelunky, it is NOW. I'm going to wait to finish this run in 45 minutes.

If you like twin-stick shooters, that seems like a reasonable price for the game. It's not the most amazing thing you'll ever play, but it's decent enough.
You will have access to all of the free games you got before you canceled the subscription.
