Walmart Black Friday Ad

I know it's not out yet but how come we are not seeing any Battlefront ps4 bundles for $299 on black friday?

I would assume Sony is looking at special edition consoles as off limits for BF sales. The BLOPS 3 console, which anecdotally is doing great, isn't in any sales either.

I'm guessing that Spencer's not sure if we can catch up was a secret signal telling us that they weren't going to shed blood to sell consoles this holiday.

Hmmm....

Seems like MS is not even trying anymore...

I never expected both at the same price in US... Xbone needs to be cheaper to stay competitive.

That was my first reaction, but they also have a deal on controllers and games.

So basically for $299 you get a console, a 2nd controller, and a spare $25 toward a game (30% off).
i just hope the have enough stock to justify going there for black friday. i need a second control for my nephews so it works out and ill get black ops 3 if they have i there with the left over money.

Dell still has the best Xbox one deal. Gears console, extra controller, and fallout 4 for 300.

I hope best buy lowers their prices on some of their games because of Walmart. Probably will grab rare and gears for my nephew if they don't. Will get splatoon for me.

Not the special edition console bundle. Just the plain battlefront bundle. Thought that would pop up for $299

Wait, wait, wait......when did Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas come out on disc for the 360? Is Wal-Mart just making up games now?

Its cheaper by $30 walmart, $60 Target, those two are huge, Dell has a incredible deal. But they do have the AAA lineup this fall to maybe not count on pricedrops and with them dropping kinect/better tools, the games are much closer to PS4 then launch. PS4 does have the marketing deals on huge titles, but BF is more casuals and with 360 having a huge advantage over PS3 in America, I would expect most of them upgrade to XBO this fall with Gears/ Forza/Halo/Tomb Raider/FO4 marketing line-up, compared to the UC collection, and marketing deals on Starwars/COD. we will see. but I think MS takes November by 200k+

No regular New 3DS deal for Black Friday...

$199.00 for the Happy Home Designer bundle on Amazon... No thanks. The original 3DS had better bundles during Black Friday 2011.

This is one of the worst Black Fridays ever. :(
How?
PS4 has dropped $100 from last BF, and while X1 isn't much different, the target deal is still fairly good as you can use the GC to get H5, TR, FO4, or SW battlefront with it.

Last year, X1 technically only dropped $20 for BF (from 350 to 330), and PS4 was bundled with two good remastered games (GTA & TLOU)

I guess there were some better retailer specific offerings, but the across the board cuts don't seem that much different to me this year...

Oooh yea that makes sense, though I expected the Fallout bundle from Microsoft to do the same but I haven't seen it anywhere for BF.

IMO, the XBO deal is located on the back with other high profile stuff with a 1 hour guarantee, meaning they expect it to sell out in stores, but you can still get yours if you show up. The PS4 deal is in the middle with no guarantee, and IMO they don't expect a sell out.

They don't expect a $299 PS4 to sell out? Let's be real.

I'm guessing MS doesn't see any point anymore bleeding money with XB1 and are admitting defeat.

This is exactly the same deal they had with the Xbox One last year when everyone called it a "fire sale". 50 bucks off the system, free game bundled in, plus a Gift Card.

They both will sell and people always say that who has the most in stock, will be the winner but who knows , both at same price, lets see what happens

They never sold out on the $329 X1 deal last BF so I don't see how this is going to sell out within 1 hour. This same deal is also at other retailers so it's a mass produced item.

I am banking on Toys R Us having a N3DS deal. Gamestop and Target have it for 20 bucks off. Maybe Nintendo is planning a deal for December or something.

thats the thing, they think they will outsell the stock on XBO and not PS4, they are saying that future shipments they will match the price, but no-so on PS4 as they think they have enough for people waiting hours.

Eh. Maybe I'll get Witcher and or Bloodborne depending on how my backlog changes up until Black Friday. I usually go to Walmart but maybe not this year.

That was up against a more expensive ps4. And the xbox had fallen from 500 earlier that year. Although the deal on the xbox itself has not changed much, the circumstances have.

PS4 will take November due one bundle: Star Wars.
I can't see Xbone doing better with these prices.

Easily one of the worst Black Fridays I've seen at least for me. Though if you don't have Bloodborne or Witcher 3 then it should be one of the best Black Fridays for you if not the best.

Hmm I don't know if it will be worth it when Amazon will certainly have a 299 deal as well. I just want a ps4 fallout and metal gear. Also it is weird the Xbox one had better deals a year ago. I was thinking of upgrading to a new 3ds but Nintendo has been stingy with the deals this year

I kept telling my brother to get his Xbox last weekend, but he insisted on waiting for Black Friday. Last weekend's deal of the system, any game, and a controller was better than anything I have seen for BF. This seems like a pretty lame year for system sales, but some of the game sales seem fantastic.

Xbox will lose OCT, but will win Nov by 200k+ *bookmark it* I'm willing to eat crow, but highly doubt I will be. Get your plate ready.

xbox winning oct but losing november sounds more likely though.

Halo took a hit with H4 and MCC, it'll take weeks for word of mouth to improve sales. and BTW Warzone is the shit.

edit: seriously this is for another thread. have guns drawn, just give me a location.

Damn, glad I didn't wait for Black Friday deals on the X1. Last weeks BB deal is still looking good. And its worth extra to me not to have to fight crowds for shit.

would walmart canada match any of these deals, i want to get the witcher 3 so bad and $25 GAT DAYUM

$25 Splatoon and Bloodborne are great. Discounted PS+ and XBLG cards are okay, not too good compared to previous years though.

Of course, none of this matters to me since they pulled the freaking Thanksgiving card. Look, I know the whole Black Friday thing was already ironic, coming right off of Thanksgiving. But having it literally HOURS within the main festivities really bugs me. We have Thanksgiving dinner, and I'm not about to leave the house full of family + extended family to get some cheap games.

Well, they can't exactly control the price differential between their system and the PS4, since they have no knowledge or control over how much retailers charge for a PS4 on Black Friday.

My point is more that last year a $50 discount + Gift Card was seen as a desperation fire sale, and this year it's somehow seen as "Well, I guess they gave up trying to sell systems or compete!" Exactly how much are you supposed to discount so that you don't appear desperate, but don't appear like you've given up? It's just set up as a lose-lose proposition for Microsoft: offer great deals and it's a "fire sale", offer slightly less generous deals and you have "accepted defeat".
