Walmart Black Friday Ad

I was thinking of upgrading to a new 3ds but Nintendo has been stingy with the deals this year

2015-Nintendo would probably do incredible bundles like Codename STEAM or Chibi Robo hardware bundles for $219.99, their goal being to win the holidays at all costs.

I miss 2011-Nintendo.

More dull "deals". Looks to be a snoozer of a black Friday this year.

maybe, but this 55" 1080p TV for $250 is going to be this year's bloodbath item. People will be trampled over this deal.

but on the gaming side yeah nothing groundbreaking. I haven't seen a Wii U Deal for $199 which is disappointing even though I own a Wii U I wish it was $199 so other people would jump in

Looking at better resolution ad pages, it looks like Transformers: Devastation is in the $25 pile for at least PS4. I was hoping it was gonna be around that price at Best Buy for GCU usage. Even though I finished it once already on a rental I'll probably grab it at that price so I can play the other characters and the challenge mode.

250 for that Wii u bundle might be the bees knees. I wonder if the 24/7 walmarts will have these deals by 12am Thanksgiving morning like they usually do. I'm deciding between best buy because of gcu and walmart because of ease of access. I usually go in early on Thanksgiving morning and pick up all my bf games while everybody is sleeping. This is my first year with gcu. Decisions decisions.

Well, Walmart's Black Friday looks about as garbage as everyone else's so far. Best Buy has the best deal for me, only because I have a gift card I can blow there.

And fuck, would it kill these people to have a $200 32 in 1080p TV that isn't a garbage brand like Spectre or an unknown quantity like RCA or one of those random Chinese/Korean brands?

Man, I agree. Emerson and Spectre are shit. 200 dollar crapola TVs that have horrible pictures and barely any settings. Whoopie.

Drop that 65 inch curved Sammy UHD down from 1,999 to 999 please and then we will have something.

Last year I got a 49" or 50" Westinghouse HDTV from Target for $239, and it wasn't really even the kind of deal you had to camp out for. We showed up 30-40 minutes early and while everyone else was rushing for mega-doorbuster deals we grabbed ours.

I think the trick of Black Friday is to pick the second-best deal being offered. Yeah you're settling for second best, but unless you are willing to sit in front of a big box store for 6 hours in November weather then it's much more likely that you will get the thing you want. For instance the big deal this year is a 49" Toshiba HDTV for $150 at Best Buy....sounds great, but nobody but the people who spend their entire Thanksgiving Day at Best Buy are going to get it. Spend $50-$100 extra to just skip the hassle.

Better shot of the games.

I'm glad Walmart still has ps2 games for sale.

GTA trilogy is the only thing Walmart has for PS2. It's so strange I dunno why they carry it. I work there in the Electronics department. Our discount doesn't work on Black Friday items, so I won't be grabbing anything. But we do get a 25% discount to use on a single transaction a week or so later. Gonna use that on a couple of TVs in layaway. lol.

That 55" UHD LG is pretty tempting, but I'm gonna wait until 4k content becomes more standard before getting one.

I'm really dreading what Black Friday is gonna be like at Walmart though...lay away has already been driving me insane with the limited pod space we have. And customers are already assholes as is. I'm gonna make sure I equip a selfie stick to use as a baton if things get crazy. =x

Walmart is scary on Black Friday, and in my prior experience it's usually picked clean in an instant.

I'm surprised, but pleased, to see Modern Mario is getting a non-bundle release, but annoyed again that it's Walmart-exclusive.

IMO, the XBO deal is located on the back with other high profile stuff with a 1 hour guarantee, meaning they expect it to sell out in stores, but you can still get yours if you show up. The PS4 deal is in the middle with no guarantee, and IMO they don't expect a sell out.

Or MS is willing to sell as many consoles as they can at $299 because they want to make sure they don't have an overstock/overship situation for the quarter, and Sony is fairly certain that they will sell as many consoles as they ship out so they don't need to extend the $299 price beyond that day/weekend.

People at Walmart don't care. They buy the cheapest things most of the time. We sell those $49 7" RCA Voyager II tablets all the time. I don't even know what you can do with those. And I think the 32" Emersons are like $171. We just put them on those plastic pallet things in the "action alley" in front of electronics and people just grab them. People will grab 55" Sanyo TVs before any other brand. Because they're cheaper. But the TV that bothers me most is the 32" Emerson with a built in DVD player that costs $248. You're paying like $77 more for a built in DVD player. What? When we sell LG DVD players for $28.

Sorry. Walmart is hurting my soul.

How can anyone say these deals suck? This is easily better than the last two BFs for me (comparing my purchase lists). I'm several hundred dollars in already and trying to find ways to cut back.

LEGO Jurassic World for $25, worth it?

Transformers Devastation $25
God of War 3 Remaster $15
FFX/X-2 PS4 $15
Arkham Knight $25
MGSV $35
Until Dawn $35

Good ass BF for me.

Farcry 4 for $15 is an amazing hours of content to cost ratio, if you have not already played it. I will pick up Until Dawn at that price. The Taken King would be tempting at that price if I thought I'd have time for it. I have Amazon Prime this time, so I'll have to keep an eye out for who offering the best deal on a game by game basis.

Unless my memory is overrating last year's hardware deals, that Xbox One bundle seems vaguely on par with what was offered last year, minus $30 or so.

That $300 PS4 bundle seems like a good deal, but as someone who has worked retail in the past, I swore to boycott Black Friday for the rest of my life. They could be giving them away for free, I still probably wouldn't put up with all of this insanity.

Its cheaper by $30 walmart, $60 Target, those two are huge, Dell has a incredible deal. But they do have the AAA lineup this fall to maybe not count on pricedrops and with them dropping kinect/better tools, the games are much closer to PS4 then launch. PS4 does have the marketing deals on huge titles, but BF is more casuals and with 360 having a huge advantage over PS3 in America, I would expect most of them upgrade to XBO this fall with Gears/ Forza/Halo/Tomb Raider/FO4 marketing line-up, compared to the UC collection, and marketing deals on Starwars/COD. we will see. but I think MS takes November by 200k+

Compared to last year's sacrifices to "win" this year is nothing.

So many games.. Most of these are games I traded in for $35-40 and rebuying.

$25 transformers devastation
$25 Lego Jurassic world
$25 splatoon
$25 smash Bros 3ds
$15 gears remastered
$35 until dawn

Is the gears console at Walmart the white version? I missed out on the other deal but I'd take a crappy gift card deal if it means arctic bliss.
