Walmart is selling monitors for $8.85

how about those guys every week who complain about how 'humble bundle has gone too far and they'll never purchase another bundle again' then next week they're always on train for more $1 games, no matter how many changes to the system they make lol? people don't stick to their guns.

and jesus so some people lucked out and got their stuff. that doesn't make everyone entitled to their $20 HDTV. you should be glad anyone got them to honor the deal at all.

I have seen very few people (I haven't actually seen any, but I could allow for a few that I missed in a large and fast moving thread) who are mad at anyone else in here for getting a TV. Why does it bother you if people are like "Ugh, this sucks, I really wish I got my TV." It wasn't a $20 TV. In my case it was a $1300 TV on Amazon for $400 shipped. That's 70% off, crazy deal of course, but it isn't like I was just popping essentially free items into my cart.

So is anyone keeping tabs on this? Does ship to store equal dun goofed?

Congrats to everyone on that new stuff.

This is what I want to know. I would hope everyone who chose Store Pickup will post what happens. I said from the very beginning that I know this will probably fall through, so I am not going to be hurt or devastated if they cancel my order.

However, I am going to be pretty pissed if I start getting emails next week, a week after Kayakgate, telling me to come pick up my stuff, then when I get there, they tell me they are cancelled.

I would much rather WalMart cancel my stuff now, if they are going to, instead of letting me walk into Walmart (what could be 7 different times with 7 different orders) and telling me that it is cancelled or they will not give it to me.

It was more than a few pricing errors. Basically everything on the site had the wrong price. In that case, they should take the whole site down or disable all online ordering. It would have saved everyone a lot of trouble.

and the indians shouldn't have put jose mesa in during the 9th inning of the 7th game of the 1997 world series. hindsight is a wonderful thing we can use to solve all of the world's problems! -_-

So many people that don't understand that when it comes to these glitches and such, you should always be happy if you get ANYTHING, not upset at the things you don't get.

Amateurs.
Yup. I missed out entirely.

But if I didn't, you have to expect managers to deny you or shipments to be canceled. Need to have back up plans. I have two walmarts within 5 minutes of eachother, one 5 minutes from my house. I would have had both doing site to store, probably the three others 25-30 minutes away, and home shipping as well.

I think it's the fact people feel like they're ENTITLED to those items because they were allowed to pay for it. I don't know if you've worked in retail but I spent seven years dealing with the IRL versions of the people in this thread moaning. It's not fun.

Two of my ship to home orders are still pending and haven't been refunded. One was canceled/refunded last night. Still believing.

i'm straight amazed they would post neogaf instead of slickdeals or reddit or something. surely there's way bigger topics on this elsewhere? weird to snag one off a gaming forum not known for deals

I don't understand how some people can't see why a person would be upset about this. I assume this wasn't intentional, but if you're offering a certain price, then you're expected to honor that price. Situations like this, where customers are able to purchase items at a low price, but then only some orders arbitrarily go through and others have their orders canceled, should be avoided at all costs. There's nothing wrong with scorning the company for offering prices that they won't honor, even though it wasn't intentional. Walmart is at fault here, not the customers.

Upset yes, but Walmart are doing nothing wrong at all, check the T&C's on the site

ORDER ACCEPTANCE AND BILLING

All billing information provided must be truthful and accurate. Providing any untruthful or inaccurate information constitutes a breach of this Agreement and may result in order cancellation. Prior to accepting an order we may also request additional information from you. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel an order for any reason including limitations on quantities available for purchase, inaccuracies, or errors in product or pricing information, or problems identified by our credit and fraud avoidance department

So yeah by all means people can feel a bit gutted they missed out, but don't preach about how you've been hard done by.

That's what I did. Spread it around. Bunch of different stores and shipping/pickup options. Then you get something.

That's where the issue is. Sure, be sad you missed a tv. But you weren't wronged.

Damn, I guess I don't have good luck like some of you guys. I tried buying this monitor and now I just noticed that my three orders got canceled. The only time I remember getting such a glitch to work in my favor was when Ubisoft's website messed up and they were selling a bunch of games like Splinter Cell Conviction and Assassin's Creed 2 for a dollar.

hahaha. as a loyal tribe fan, I'd like to say AHDKFASHDFKASDHFASKDHFSAKDHFASDKHFA

Got 1 item processing still, an 8 person tent my wife scored for $30. She had a bunch of other loot cancelled and received a $10 gift card though. Millhouse.

If I hit up all 6 walmarts and only got a game I'd think it was a funny story: "You see those pictures of people humping 60" LEDs?, 6 stores denied ne but I got Pokemon X for 20 dollas, lol"

Just noticed in my gmail "promotions" folder that I did indeed receive an "order cancelled, heres $10" email last night........ however, nothing in my account reflects any sort of cancellation, and my monitors all say PICK ME UP NOW PLZ THX. I''ll report back at ~1:30 EST.

Just came in!

Fuck - should have done overnight shipping. What we have learned from this thread when these deals come up:

1) Order for in store pickup and get there ASAP after you order - don't wait for a confirmation of pickup email.
2) Place all orders for overnight shipping to expedite the process
3) Place an order, any order, and if they get cancelled you might get a small token ($10 gift card) for your troubles.

My monitors have disappeared. All of the ship to home stuff is processing. The only canceled item out-front was Disney Infinity for pickup.

Good to hear some gfx cards shipped. Here's hoping.

Watching this yesterday as a Brit was torturous.

I think the human element that just let all this fly is fascinating. $8 monitors is one level of madness, but the live human beings that looked at huge 55"-65" TV's for $300, and just let people through with them, no connecting the dots or personal initiative at all. What a concerning look at the modern employee's mental capacity. Then again, after recent years I'm sure Walmart loyalty isnt exactly booming to bother.

This is all common deal-hunting knowledge right here!

Congrats on succeeding guys. All I got was this god damn mother fucking $10 e-gift card.

if it makes you feel better you can buy one of those grocery candy items... like 3lbs of gummies or a 38 ounce bag of peanut butter M&MS XD..... my game got canceled since my store doesnt do a pick up items online thing. oh well still got Black friday to buy stuff.

The girl at mine apologized it took so long because she didn't realize it was a tv. Didn't bat an eyelash.

The other Walmart just said what a great deal I got.

I'm really beginning to wonder if the "Your order is cancelled, heres $10" e-mail isn't some blanket message that doesnt really necessarily mean your order was cancelled. The fact that it doesn't connect to your order number, and that they say the gift cards will be delivered "later" makes me think there still is a small window of time for some of us....... I do NOT think my order is cancelled literally yet........even though I received the e-mail. My order status says "ready for pickup".

Yea that has been the conclusion since last night.

Blanket Email to anyone who ordered yesterday.

Using this time now to go through orders and cancel if necessary.

I was trying to find something on the site yesterday that was under $10, so I didn't have to pay for anything to make the joke on them.

Gotcha. There is still time for me! I wish I could make my clock at work move....... but the wal mart time stand still........ :P

Well, I understand what you're saying, but I would argue that the people in this thread complaining about not getting TVs today are the people who didn't go to the stores and harass employees for their TVs yesterday.

I was able to get one of my orders for in-store pickup before work yesterday morning but the other order I made for in-store pickup was not ready at that time and they wouldn't release it to me.

After I got to work I got the email saying it was ready for pickup but I checked on walmart.com just to make sure, as others had said their orders were changed to canceled even after getting that email. And of course, my order too was changed to canceled. I sent walmart an email yesterday afternoon after trying to call the store and not getting an answer. This is the response I just got:

Your order [REDACTED] is processing. Your order should arrive on 11/20/2013 Once it has shipped and is ready for pick up, you will receive a shipment confirmation email containing the tracking information, or you may contact the store location selected to pick up at the phone number: 781-592-4300.

If you have any questions, please reply to this email or call us at 1-800-966-6546.

Sincerely,

I received an email stating my order was ready for pickup. I was about to go and pick it up when I looked on walmart.com and saw that it states my order has been canceled. I tried calling the store but no one answers. Can you please advise if my order is available? I do not want to drive 45 minutes to find out my order is not there. Thank you.

I'm not sure what she is talking about regarding shipping since I didn't do the ship to store option. Is there a chance even for these canceled orders that we may still get them??! Should we keep hope alive?? Or does this person just not know what they're talking about?

Hope destroyed. My tv shipped yesterday.. it has been intercepted and now is on its way to the walmart return center..

I'd imagine they are beginning to apply the intercepts.
