It will be the best TGS news for me if they will announce it there.VegaShinra said:1Up says it's coming: http://www.1up.com/do/newsStory?cId=3176109

Yakuza 3 is a no-brainer, especially when the game is already completed and it showcases the PS3. They rather have The Conduit on the Wii (the trailer is better than the game) and the 3-millienth Sega Classic Collection over Yakuza 3?

I dunno...

semiconscious said:great news, if true... but, having played both via faq, i can tell y'all that kenzan! is easily the better game in every way (& possibly the best game of all of'm), & i would've been waaay happier if it was kenzan! (or both) coming over...

Has Shane came through for us? Is Ignition going to be handling the western release? He will be in Tokyo (according to Garnett on this week's Listen Up) and 1UP is the site reporting this news...
Coincidence? Who knows, but I like guessing. It'd be nice if Yakuza 1 and 2 got the God of War treatment and were re-released on Blu-Ray. I'd be all over that since I never got the chance to play either of those games. (didn't own a PS2)
Right folks, lets get to work on VF5:R.
If this turns out to be false I'll be very upset.
I doubt the SEGA Community Manager would have been commenting about how Yakuza 3 localization is still a major topic of discussion at SEGA on the PS Blog if they had already handed off the rights to another publisher.
It definitely won't be NISA. It'll likely be Sega but maybe they'll go a DD path with it.androvsky said:Is Ignition anywhere near large enough to handle Yakuza 3? Seems like there's a crapton of text to handle, even if they don't dub it. I've only played the demo, but I got the impression it could easily be a larger project than Sakura Wars, and NISA seems to be quite, uh, impressed by the size of that effort.
Let me put it this way: if Sega of America handed over localization of a major and current series to another publisher, I don't think it's going to stop being a topic of discussion for a very long time.
