At least you can talk. Who are you?
So today WB announced a deal with LeBron James and his company, SpringHill Entertainment.

BURBANK, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--LeBron James, basketball star, international icon and one of the world’s most popular sports figures, and his company, SpringHill Entertainment, are partnering with Warner Bros. Entertainment, the global entertainment leader, in an unprecedented agreement spanning all areas of content creation. The deal will see James’ creative footprint touch all areas of the Studio, with plans for projects in television, film and original digital content. The announcement was made today by Kevin Tsujihara, Chairman and CEO, Warner Bros. in collaboration with Maverick Carter and LeBron James, co-Founders, SpringHill Entertainment.

“LeBron James has one of the most powerful, well-known brands in the world and we are excited to be in business with him and his partner, Maverick Carter, and SpringHill Entertainment,” said Tsujihara. “The combination of LeBron’s global media presence and Warner Bros.’ unmatched production and distribution expertise is a big win for fans everywhere. We’re excited to welcome LeBron and Maverick to the Warner Bros. family and look forward to partnering on incredible projects that will connect with consumers across a variety of platforms.”

“Connecting with my fans and telling meaningful stories have always been my passion. In everything I’ve done, from Nike commercials to Uninterrupted and Survivor’s Remorse, it’s always about connecting with people of all ages and providing unique content they can all enjoy,” said LeBron James. “And I’ve always loved movies, which makes Warner Bros. the ultimate partner to help us continue to push the envelope. I can’t wait to see what we come up with.”

SpringHill Entertainment, the entertainment and content company created by James and business partner Maverick Carter, develops creative content across a wide variety of platforms including digital, documentary and feature films, and scripted and unscripted TV. SpringHill’s growing project portfolio includes Disney XD’s inspirational series Becoming, the Starz’ breakout scripted comedy Survivor’s Remorse, Uninterrupted, the multimedia platform for unfiltered athlete content hosted on Turner digital platform Bleacher Report, and an upcoming primetime game show for NBC.

“In everything we do, we think long and hard about how we want to grow and partners that can help us bring our content to the next level. And we’re always looking for new, creative ways to explore ideas that haven’t been done before, and this partnership with Warner Bros. will open a lot of doors for that,” said Maverick Carter, CEO of SpringHill Entertainment. "We want SpringHill to be a leader in the original content-creating space, and this partnership with a major player in the entertainment industry like Warner Bros. will help us continue to grow in the right direction."

And last month WB filed some new trademarks for Space Jam (not movie related, as they already own that).

Begone, wannabe....begone.
Lebron James is unknown in the rest of the world and no one gives a fuck about him. Bet on the wrong horse there WB.

If Space Jam 2, or a reboot or whatever the hell you want to call it, happens and results in a good arcade basketball game being released for the consoles then I have no problem with this. My heart yearns for some kind of crazy NBA Street style game, so if you add aliens and Bugs Bunny into the mix then I'll be down for it.

Trainwreck and now this. I guess LeBron figured since he's never going to be remembered as a better basketball player than Jordan, he'll settle for being remembered as the better actor.

Space Jam 2 already exists.

It's called Barkley, Shut Up and Jam: Gaiden and it continues the story of Space Jam from when it left off. It's also getting a sequel of its own.

It's also canon.

Warner Bros: Michael, baby... we're prepping Space Jam 2 starring The King Lebron James. How would you like to play the mentor role in the sequel? You know, teach the young fella all you know and pass the torch.

I didn't like the original back in the day and it REALLY doesn't hold up as an adult. I don't understand the fascination with a sequel/reboot.

Why? No more Space Jam please. This is not needed.

It's not needed, but between people sarcastically rewatching it and the fact that a good chunk of the movie industry relies exclusively on nostalgia/reusing old ideas these days, it's honestly a good idea for LeBron/WB. I mean, Space Jam 1 wasn't really Earth-shattering, either. But it performed well, so there's certainly an audience for a sequel, regardless of whether or not it ends up being the same movie but with LeBron James instead of Michael Jordan.

They'd be dumb not to at this point, especially seeing what Jurassic World has done. It doesn't even need to be that good of a movie and it'll probably make a metric fuckton of money.

Michael Jordan's gambling debt has finally caught up to him, landing him in space jam prison having to compete in gladiator basketball deathmatches. Now it's up to Lebron to break him out.

It was known about a few months ago.

Lebron James' reps denied it in February but were obviously lying ;)

IMDB already has a page about it: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt3554046/

Also, arguably, it'd sell better nowadays to an international audience as a soccer movie.

Hare Jordans have also been brought back.

It also uses the artstyle of the upcoming Bugs Bunny reboot.
