Watch Dogs - New Gameplay Footage

I'm considering cancelling my pre order for this game, most of the new videos are underwhelming and honestly, in my opinion, doesn't look next gen at all.. I don't know I have a bad feeling about this game know

You're terrible. I could link you to the same post I've linked you to a dozen times where I explain that I and others still may see a downgrade and still think the game looks good and why it's not worth harping on over and over. Or to one of many where I or others have directly addressed you and your incessant repeated threadshitting for which your account exists exclusively. At which point you just move onto another ill-conceived comparison involving cherrypicked images and very little apparent understanding of the visual techniques at play (seemingly not even matching up to your average Beyond3D forum poster much less someone with the credentials you claim to have), or just drift away from the thread from there. Yeah, I stand firm in wondering how the shit you're still here.
 
I just can't get over how this game looks. GTAV has better car models. It baffles the mind. I know they are different worlds but look at ACIV and look at this game. How can this come from the same company? I shudder to think what it would look like if it was released last year.

Yep, people are strange. Even with ACIV it looks much, much better than the PS4 version with my GTX670 and all I had to do was cap the framerate and turn down one or two settings. Really no clue why someone would spent 700 dollars on a Ti and then......not use it.

Uplay and friends (uplay sucks -like when it erased my splinter cell save file after a forced update- and mp actually looks like it could be fun). If it was steam only I would agree.

saw the GB QL, nice looking game. Will probably wait til reviews come out to decide between PC or PS4, my 580 is getting old and IIRC the recommended specs for watch dogs was crazy high (would be playing on a 24" 1080p monitor on my PC). Just gonna wait for reviews and see how optimized this is for PC

It would have looked a lot better, but it would have jaw dropping screen tearing.

I saw the game before it was delayed, and man it was rough. It was being played on a PS4 dev kit as well.

Sure visuals might have taken a hit, but the game looks a lot smoother than it was before the delay.

Im just curious, why is it that you have singled out Watchdogs. Some of your points, make sense, but I get an odd vibe that your purpose is just to point all the issues with this game. Did you initially want this game, but then noticed the downgrades?

I did the same a while back. I was set to buy this pretty much blind at the PS4 launch. It's since been a downward spiral of BS, both in terms of visuals, ubisoft fuck ups and misinformation, and general lack of solid footage outside of basic ambient activities. I just got sick of it all. Video's like this bring me back in a little, get me a bit more excited, but then there is STILL the question mark that hangs over it about whether its PC or PS4 footage. Why are they not being transparent, why aren't we being told exactly what's what?

I guess i should be grateful the game was delayed, because it's potentially saved me from being left holding a game that once the hype settles, really isn't very good. And if i'm wrong, i can always pick it up later.
 
Still buying day one because cancelling preorder is too much of a hassle, but maybe I'll not play it day one. Still playing ACIV now, and afraid I might get a Ubisoft open world burn. Gameplay is interesting, but nothing screams "omg i must have it yesterday".

In fact I kinda forgot why I'm very hyped for the game, lol. Maybe because of the next gen hype in 2012.

Wish I got to play the magic version of GTAV some of you apparently experienced last year. The game I played sure as hell didn't look like this. Yeah, the daytime stuff in Watch Dogs is a little underwhelming but the hyperbole surrounding this game's overall visual fidelity is off the charts.

I'm still bitter about just how terrible the performance was in GTAV. At this point all I want is a pretty game with a solid framerate.
 
All worries are now gone! I'm officially pumped again for this game, looks like a lot of fun. I love open world games like this and can never really get enough of them. Seems like there is just enough cool new things to do besides shooting and driving to spice things up a bit. The on the fly hacking and crazy fun looking multiplayer makes it look like Watch Dogs is going to be a great game for a lot of people.

That's right I'm going to cancel the pre order and wait for the media and gaf feedback.. Funny how this game changed from WOW in 2012 to WTF in 2014
 
Something about this game looks kind of lifeless to me, no soul. Can't put my finger on why. Disadvantage of working with a simply huge development team?

What. We've seen barely any footage of the game, and what we have seen has been tailored. How can people judge an entire game, especially an open world one, on 8 minutes of footage? Seriously. Also that GTA comment is hyperbolic to the roof.

GTAV suffered tearing, frame drops and rather smudged textures. Compare it to some of the day or night footage from Watch Dogs and its clear that Ubisoft has done a great job. I just can't understand why there is soooo much hatred for this game, it really perplexes me. Yes its been downgraded, but its like the devs went and slaughtered your children or something.
 
I thought it looked pretty good, preorder still intact. The only thing that bothered me was in the multiplayer and the car chase he was plowing through cars, poles, and all sorts of shit and it didn't even slow him down.
 
i'm all for piling on bladers for threadshitting....but he is right about the sun thing in the new footage. it looks cartoonishly orange instead of natural. The PS4 features trailer (which was originally labelled as PC in the gaf thread) looked better than this new footage.

Just a time of day setting thing i assume.

Bingo! That's the only reasonable assumption if it looks different in different videos released in a short time frame.
 
I'm back in. After seeing some extended next-gen gameplay I'll be getting it day one. I'm desperate for something new to pop in my Xbox One.

i'm scared that my laptop wont run watch dogs good or won't run at all :(

My hope for this game is that it will be the product of Ubisoft realizing how badly they screwed up the opportunity they had with the Assassin's Creed series, and actually handle it with care and consideration this time around.
 
The multiplayer aspect looks surprisingly fun

Most of my friends are on Xbox but the PS4 version has the DLC and 1080p etc . Hmmm, decisions.
