None of the intel CPU's listed are 8 cores... unless Hyperthreading counts?
Our i7 2600k's will be fine. Tear for the i5 owners though.
Depends how many virtual threads your cores are capable of. Most Intel CPUs DON'T have hyperthreading.
There are no 8 cores... At least from intel. Only 8 threaded cpu's. I have a CPU with 12 threads and 6 cores. Wasn't aware of 8 cores yet? But I don't follow amd CPUs.
Will Intel make 8 core CPUs?
what was the last open world game that worked well on a old cpu?
I wonder why it is so CPU bound when the nextgen consoles have such relatively low powered CPU's.
i5 2500k?
That was my thought, too.
Devs don't even utilize quad cores to their maximum, why the fuck should eight cores be a requirement? Sounds like some BS to me.
A high end quardcore will outperform any low eightcore by far.
I don't know about you, guys, but I'll wait to know if the game is actually good before upgrading my PC.
I'll probably upgrade anyway, I'm weak.

.
Because they've been designing this game from the ground up for 8 cores due to PS4/XB1.
Wait I have a 3770k ivy bridge and it's only four cores, not eight.
Nope. Only 2600K has HT. i5 vs. i7.
So techie guys: are we expecting this to be typical of next-gen console ports or what?
Interesting. I have a 7970, but my CPU is an older Phenom II x4 965 @ 4.0 Ghz. CPU won't gimp me too much, right?
Will Intel make 8 core CPUs?
That's all fake though.It has hyper-threading though.
Thats 8 weak cores though.
We pc gamers have been living the good life for a while, running console current gen games at higher res and framerates with affordable rigs. I think things are going to change :/

Same here, got a Q6600.
