after watching the trailer I really hope this is not a slow motion fest like 300. :/

I couldn't tell if it was slow motion for real or if it was just playing that slowly... the trailer was dropping frames left and right. I'll have to watch it later when it's not being bombarded

I could convert it to avi (which will take 20 minutes or so)

or I could upload it in flv right now. take your pick.

Holy shit, love that song.

And it's from the Batman and Robin soundtrack: irony.

can't wait to watch; at work now.

I was just thinking that watching this trailer (loved it btw) - a song from one of the least liked superhero movies ever in what's probably going to be one of the most liked. Batman and Robin had such an array of good licensed music though. This song, Underworld, Moloko

I think this song is an edit of the original and is called "The Beginning Is The End Is The Beginning". The other one, called "The End Is The Beginning Is The End" was much more upbeat.

FLV, don't covert anything. MPC and VLC both can play FLV just fine.

FLV please,I want to watch it again! :D

Ok, I'm sure people will start bitching about how some characters (Nite Owl for example) look "too hightech", but fuck it. That was a cool trailer and I can't wait to watch this film.

The movie looks awesome. But the trailer makes it seem way more action packed than I remember the book to be. Maybe I need to re-read it.

No complaints here. Looks fucking excellent. I'm sure I'll get used to the Ozy look.

I found an interesting quote from Zack Snyder for those that complain about the costume changes.

Someone said, like “Those costumes look like Joel Schumacher!” And I go “Do you think that I don’t know? Do you think that would be an accident?” If you don’t acknowledge where comic book movies are right now, if you can’t… in the same way that Watchmen referenced and took apart the comic book genre and the comic book heroes, you have to make some reference to those same decisions in cinema. You have to. And if you think the fact that Ozy’s costume has nipples is a mistake or that we don’t understand the design, then it's like to me that’s crazy. It's just you really need to pay more attention to what we’re doing.

Alright, avi conversion was a terrible failure. FLV is how you're gonna have to take, someone's gonna have to convert it on their own. sry.

less than 20 minutes until flv downlaod will be available.

I'll take what's offered.

I converted it and the file went from 86 megs to 4, and it was sped up twice as fast:lol It's amusing on it's own, but I doubt you guys want it. :P

Can someone explain this cause I expressed a problem with the costumes too and am not sure what he's getting at? I looked up Joel Schmacher and saw he did the two awful Batmans.

Yeah, the slow mix is absolutely perfect for a movie trailer.

Can't wait to watch it.

3 minutes until break.

Zac Snyder just wanted nipples on a costume and now he's trying to build a link to the graphic novel's overall theme. That basically boils it down in a nutshell.

OH GODDAMNIT 80% of that trailer was in useless slow-motion. Zack Snyder, you hack.

The movie looks aesthetically very cool...but I can already tell it'll be mired in slow motion. Random dude is walking on the street? SLOW-MOTIONED. Random dude lifts his head? SLOW MOTIONED. Anything ever happens in the film? SLOW-MOTIONED. I fucking hate unnecessary slow-motion, and even more the way it was used in 300.

Moore took the superheros of the time and fit them into a more realistic setting. Snyder is simply retrofitting that to the modern day version. It makes perfect sense to update them to a more modernized look.

Was the Comedian in there? I was wondering what he looked like.

Edit: wasn't part of the idea of the Watchmen comic is that these superheroes were generic cliched characters and kind of lame (Nite Owl a crappy Batman, Rorshach just a crazy guy with a mask and trenchcoat...)? They sure don't seem to be using this for the theme and are just making them as badass as possible.

Nite Owl was the Blue Beetle.

Batman would be more like Rorschach if he was anyone.

The book is unbelievable, I absolutely love it. He seems to have got the style down but I'm still hesitant.

While Nite Owl evolved from the Blue Beetle, both Nite Owl and Rorschach were extreme takes on the Batman character.

I love the slow motion, especially when they speed up and then go back to slow motion.

It's fucking awesome.

It'll be interesting to see just how will he be able to edit this movie into a reasonable running time without cutting too much from the graphic novel while everything is going at half-speed.
