What an awesome nostalgic trip. Was that an industry promo video or a commercial that really aired on tv?muphins said:Jim Power: The Lost Dimension in 3D

Man I forced myself to play through this piece of shit just because of the backdrops, but I couldn't take it. Fuck Kawazu.
No offense, and keep in mind I respect your opinion...but from the imgs you posted Kirby looks pretty simplistic...regarding backgrounds. I believe Kirby 3 on the SFC looked better but well, I haven't beat the game...BudokaiMR2 said:Gotta say I agree with most everyone on here, especially VP and Yoshi's island.
But as far as recent stuff(my memory sucks haha) I would have to say Touch Kirby. I was pretty surprised how good some of the levels look.

does not have two-dimensional backgrounds.Jesus Carbomb said:Radiant Silvergun
Hell yeah. I loved the moon part.Jesus Carbomb said:Radiant Silvergun had some great moments
You really have to see these backgrounds in motion to truly appreciate em though. That Blue City level in particular makes use of a vector style grid that covers the entire screen combined with some crazy fast scrolling, all atop a lit up cityscape making for great effect. The Moon boss speaks for itself... You have a moon, a subtle cloud effect, some stars, and a baddie that spans across the entire screen. So simple, yet sooo cool. One of my favorite moments in the game.
Developers decided that stories were no longer important in games.masud said:*sniff*WHAT THE FUCK HAPPENED TO ADVENTURE GAMES!
