The new Boards of Canada is a masterpiece, of course.
My favorite music group next to Autechre.
Inferno is a strange subliminal trip - that will be marveled over for all times - just like the rest of their catalogue.
The classic vintage BoC synths - with sprinkles of new tech. The big addition this time around is all the strange speeches integrated directly into the timing of the music.
I look at all of their works as one connected piece of art - it can definitely be listened to that way.
You Retreat in Time and Space is the quintessential BoC track and sound. If this is the end - there it is right there.
Deep Time is as good as music can possibly get as well.
Im kinda mad though - if they are this good at making music why did it take 8 years from Campfire to Harvest, and now 13 years from Harvest to inferno.
They have 100s of mysterious unreleased tracks over the years as well. Hope they do an aphex one of these days and just dump it all for us to hear...
I guess enjoy and appreciate what you get is more the moral.
