new sub for my HT, not sure if i'm going to go with a SVS PB-13 ultra or a PB-12 plus, or maybe a Rythmik F15 or FV15.

new receiver for my HT, haven't narrowed down a choice of what i want to get tho.

new graphics card + monitor for my pc. going to upgrade my 260 gtx for witcher 2 in april, so we'll see might get a 560 gtx ti.

Definites:

New Smartphone - Still holding on to a 2007 N81, but I've severely ruined it. :(
New Macbook Pro - Current laptop screen busted. Interested in Mac and want to get away from PC/laptop gaming for once.

a 1080p projector and if I'm extravagant a 7:2 sound system
An Appletastic triumverate: The next iMac, MBA and iPad 2
Speedlite 700 for my cam and AlienBees ring flash

Realistically only one of the items above, I want to travel a bit more this year, as consumer products do not make me happy.

Just purchased an Akai APC40. It's a MIDI controller and it looks awesome.

Hope to buy:

-decent usb audio interface
-a decent mic or two
-an alesis control pad or something similar
-and a malletkat pro if i somehow pick up $2300 off the ground

-possibly a 3DS... we'll see. I'm gonna try to restrain myself.

I just had a Blackberry 8520 but that broke after warranty so I got a cheap cricket phone.

I'm looking for a smart phone like the Huawei Ascend or the iphone.

Is the 3GS worth it or is the iphone 4 that much better?

I also want to get a subwoofer for my car. I think that I want to go with the woof with a built in amp, but if you guys know some good deals then I'd be happy to look.

I have no idea.

In the past year I bought a netbook, iPad, HTC Legend and a Kindle. I'm such a gadget geek. I really need to save my money and stop buying shit I don't need...but I can't help it.

We'll see how this year plays out.

eVGA GTX 570 (already purchased)
Intel's new SSDs (x2)
NGP (if reasonable pricing)
New TV (most likely 32") at some point

Everyday I debate whether to upgrade to Sandy Bridge
(good thing I haven't yet lol)
, but I think my Q6600 is holding on pretty strong still.

New TV - it's almost a year since I bought my last one :D
Finally a Dolby Surround Receiver - Think it's about time
DSiXL - Or maybe a 3DS if the effect really is that awesome
Wave II - Well I should get it for free so I guess that doesn't count
PS 3 - Atlus is starting to seriously develop for it and I don't know how much longer I can go on without playing Yakuzaaaa, just gimme BC Sony!!
360 Slim - If it gets really cheap that is, watching HD DVD is annoying with my old one
E-reader - Have to try one first, especially in sunlight.

Replace my iPad with gen2 when it comes out.
Maybe, maybe get the new iPhone on Verizon in the summer.
SSD drive for the PC once the next wave hits.
New video card in the spring or so.

That's about it.

New TV, ordered it last week, should arrive sometime this week. Samsung UE37C6000, old TV is ~10 years old.

Might buy a new gaming PC, not sure though, mine is 2 or 3 years old right now and still works pretty well.

New LCD monitor for the PC would be nice too.

I don't really need anything else right now.

Anthem D2v
McIntosh MC205 (for multichannel)
McIntosh MC252 (for stereo)
B&W CM9's (main L/R)
B&W CM5's (surround)
B&W CMC2 (center)
Oppo BDP-95
Rega P3-24 turntable
PS Audio GCPH phono amp

It's been a long time coming but basically I'm overhauling my entire home theater and music capabilities.

Later this year might get a new tv but there's nothing catching my eye yet as an upgrade over my Kuro.

what the next gen Panasonic should be really damn close or better, and 3d capable and probably use less energy, the current V25 are great fucking sets.

I wish I was strong enough to say nothing but will probably get all the new crap you guys are getting including an iphone, 3ds, psp2, kindle, etc. they trick us into thinking we need it!

Yes indeed, gonna keep my eye on them. What I really want is something 65" in size that looks as good or almost as good as my Kuro. Don't care what it cost, I'm buying it if something gets released as such.

Just bought a VIAO laptop.

Just bought SSD for my laptop.

3DS depending on the games during launch window

NGP is a sure thing (come on $300)

We're up to date on our computers (three year old desktop boxed computer, one year old desktop custom built, and a netbook).

And we just bought a 46" Samsung LCD, and a smaller 27" for the bedroom. And a new 24" Dell monitor last year for our gaming PC.

So.. we're about wrapped up. Haha. 3DS will definitely be a purchase. NGP, I require more information, and given the MSRP it'll be at, it'll probably wait. I do need a new receiver/speaker system though, so that might be on the list later this year.

iPad 2
3DS

Possibly an iMac desktop towards the end of the year. NGP will have to wait till next year at the earliest, but more likely after a revision and price drop or two.

Panasonic Viera VT25. If the price on Amazon holds I'm buying it this weekend.

May buy the 3DS, have it preordered just in case. Possibly will buy a second PS3 for the living room, but that's about it for (relatively) big stuff.

http://www.panasonic.com/business/plasma/plasmas.asp

If you're looking for a larger plasma(Kuros only go up to 60"), I'd look at the 85" or 103" Panny 3D plasma in the bottom-right corner of that page. I'd love that 85" TH-85VX200U, but I can't justify $20K on a TV. I'll have to settle for a 65" VT30 or a projector. You seem to be willing to spend more for your HT than I am, so I thought I'd point those out, if you weren't aware of them. They're not widely advertised like their consumer displays.

I recently moved into a new house, so I'm looking to buy some new gear this year. As I said, the Panny 65" VT30 is at the top of my plasma list. Or, I may go with a projector with an accoustically transparent screen to hide my speakers behind. My tiny KRP-500M will be relegated to bedroom duty.

Some other things on my list:

1) LCR identical bookshelf speakers. Not sure which ones, yet.
2) Subwoofer(s). Likely going with one or more from an ID(Internet Direct) company.
3) Server rack with new rack format workstation and media/storage server.
4) 27" or 30" IPS monitor
5) Couple of GigE switches
6) Couple of APC Smart UPSs
7) Ipad 2
8) Iphone 5(Android not even an option with my grandfathered unlimited iPhone data plan)
9) Liftmaster garage door opener

That's all I can think of, for now. 3DS and NGP are on my watch list, but I don't foresee purchasing either this year.

I guess I'll have to buy a converter box for the small SDTV a friend is giving me...

Screw you guys and your money. ;__;
