What do the symbols on Akuma's back mean?

Pretty simple question, but I could not a find an answer anywhere. I refuse to ask on gayfaqs for obvious reasons. So I'm just wondering if anyone knows what the letters on AKuma's back mean, and also when he uses Raging Demon. Thanks.

wtf do SF fans say it means "Beyond Human"?

I think its cause simply writing heaven doesnt make much sense.

Maybe its some where in SF lore or something.

超人間?

I don't trust you SF fans.
A friend of mine from Japan told me, I'm not sure if it's even true. :lol

"If you can read this symbol, you're probably already eating my ass."

This was confirmed by Capcom. Journalistic integrity FTW.

it means "heaven," but is in reference to, "i will send you to heaven."

get it? got it? good.

Doesn't Shin Akuma's back say 'Messatsu'? (And isn't it just one Kanji?)
No.
messatsu written in Hiragana is めっさつ in Kanji is 滅殺.

Looks like 'metsu' (destroy, ruin) according to word processor thingy.

I wish I had the fancy keyboard or whatever those guys are using to type them out.

Akuma is Ten which means Heaven as people already have pointed out.

Evil Ryu has Metsu on the back of his Gi which means "Destruction"

I don't recall what Shin Akuma has on his back, someone got a pic?

If you wishes to type japanese, and you are using a Windows XP, go to control panel > regional and lauguage ... > lauguages
click the box before "install files for east asian lauguages" if it is not checked.
then click "details..." > "Add" > input lauguage: japanese > OK > OK
after rebooting, you should be able to use lauguage bar to type japanese.

So Akuma's is ten/heaven.

Which Shin Akuma is Beyond Human?

He has 2 different symbols, I believe. 1 is in Capcom Vs SNK 2, the other is in.. everything else?

Oh, it's two Kanji. I totally forgot. It's Kami (god) + Hito (person) or literally "God". You could translate it as "Beyond Human" but that's terribly loose.

Related trivia: Even though it's used often, the same kanji (heaven) is seen on Don Corneo's bed in FF7, which I always thought was pretty funny. :)

Well, you're right about the kanji on their own, but when they're added together it becomes 神人 (Shinjin) which means "Godlike person". So "Beyond Human" isn't far off.

Alright, neat. How do you type in kanji with it?

ALL LIES. The symbol means 'FMUTA'. He never speaks, so it's the easiest way for him to score a lay for the night.
