What I love about my PS3:

- How sleek and well designed the XMB is, a perfectly modular menu system
- The wave
- Being able to set the system to boot to the XMB regardless of what's in the drive
- the open nature of the system... copying files from my network, and to other storage, as i see fit. I like having every episode of heroes on my HDD
- I still splurge on the shininess... i cleaned and polised mine today. I lust after it, still
- the feeling of almost inifinite possibility that it's combined tech gives...
- that soon it shall play host to MGS 4

EDIT: I shall continue to update the OP with other peoples loves

- The fact that there are no ads on the XMB
- PS1/2 BC on the 60 or 80 GB.
- Streams and plays DivX/Xvid
- Awesome first party games
- Incredible third party support
- Free online gaming!
- Playstation Store
- HD graphics
- Standard HDD
- The famous controller design (love the symmetrical sticks)
- DVD upscaling
- Web browser (I use it every single day, posting from it now)

Good for the goose, good for the gander, I suppose. And harmless until people feel the need to come in and defend their system of choice. Works that way on both sides of the aisle, so bring something positive or just leave it alone.

How it is the best looking dedicated Blu-Ray player out there.

Best looking in terms of the console looks or picture quality?

As for my favorite:

-XMB. Best console menu navigation system by far.

- The webbrowser, yeah really because i can stream so much stuff now and watch them on my TV :D
- The user friendly design, it is a pleasure to use it
- It is compatible with so much USB gadgets

Blu-ray/upscaling dvd playback.

:| Was this "companion" thread really necessary?

Absolutely. There should be a place on Gaf for PS3 fans to shine their light without fear.... come, come my pretties... out of the darkness.

Well I guess my favorite thing I love about my PS3 is the BC. I love how Sony made this possible with the ps2, and ps3.

It looks good where it sits even through it never gets turned on (and I'm one of the few in Australia with Rock Band and it still doesn't get played! :lol)

Best BR player on the market.

Not quite. Denon 2900 mops the floor clean with it (PQ wise). Then again...the Denon is 2 grand. =\

I love the way it holds me at night. I love the way it talks to me, the kind words it speaks when I'm feeling down. I love the way it feels, with its sleek curves.

I bought it for the Bluray movie player. I guess I like that it's quiet, but I definitely don't think it looks good. Would have rather bought a regular BR player, but I like that I can upgrade the firmware.

I wouldn't use the words "love" and "curves" in the same sentence in a long, long time.

About the brilliant thread, I love it is a console and I love console and anything that can run videogames (N-gage and Virtual Boy included).

And yes, I'm a hippy. Peace.

-The Games( best library of three consoles)
-Free Online
-The "This is B3yond Living" design
-Virtually no noise from vent
-Very powerfull,no delays or freezes.
-No disc scratching,GTAIV willl live enough this time
-60GB has around 3% failire rate ( I heard)
-I can use my internet connection to actually browse the internet
-Blu-Ray
-DivX/WMV/MP4 playback. also storable on PS3
- I can actually see my own wallpapers without ads blocking the way
- EASIEST NAVIGATION EVER, with the XMB

-And last but not least in anyway:

I have a like/hate thing going on with my PS3.
(why does every thread for one system have to be matched with one for the other?)

I like:

- Hard Drive as Standard
- Blu-Ray Included
- Wi-fi Included
- Online is free
- Open to free, community and mod content.
- It has MGS4 & Little Big Planet

I dont like: (room for improvement)

- The online experience is awful (last gen)
- Hardly anyone uses a headset online
- Games have to install to the hard drive before I can play
- No Shock in my controller
- I hate the controllers layout
- Most of the games I want for it are listed above (there's only two)

This is getting sad

Getting sad? it was sad with the 360 thread, now its just a bunch of 30-something dudes at a party talking about how their wife is better than yours because they get their shits and giggles from comparing boner sizes. We are way past sad.

It's silent, classy, and the XMB is the antithesis of the the tacky 360 dash.

PS1/2 upscaling is nice. I also think the downloadable games are the best, even though there's less of them.

oh, and this will be the game of the forever:

btw, I like both about equally. I'm not talking shit about anyone's wife or comparing my dick size :lol I should say I dislike both equally...I'm very underwhelmed by both systems.

Why did you both come in the thread and share this...? You could have just as superior outside, i'm sure.

I hadn't seen the other one to be honest, but their equally sad. Because we both know their purpose, even from our high horses.
