A pretty huge amount of people simply can't do their business quickly. It can depend on something like food poisoning or otherwise upset stomach (where you maybe wanna sit there for a bit instead of running back and forth) or "normal" constipation. Or it's because of one of the many disorders like IBS or something, more people have them than you think. There are many reasons it can take time and who wants to sit there staring at a wall if so?
