What game has the coolest user interface/main menu?

For me, there are few things that can increase the apparent overall production value of a game more than a fancy user interface, so let's post some of our favorites.

It's so beautiful, so... organic. I love it.

also,

Beyond Good & Evil's name input interface for doing something we've seen a million times differently.

So what are some of your picks? I'd love to see some other cool interfaces that slipped under my radar, or that I've simply forgotten about.

Damn, I'm positive that we just had this thread.

Cool just means poor and unusable to me. Does Hard Reset's UI look cool? Sure, but it's painful to navigate.

Simplicity is key.

Portal 2 gets my vote.

Clean, easy to read, and the backgrounds change depending on your progress in the game.

Friend brought over Child of Eden recently and we played on a 3D TV.
I agree with the OP. That game's interface is interesting.

I don't like the UI in most games, but DXHR and Dead Space are great (for different reasons). Valve always gets it right too. Some of the Matrix-published wargames like Unity of Command have very elegant UIs. And Europa Universalis III's is quite pretty and organized for how much information is being dispensed.

Good choices in this thread.

One that I guess is a bit "out there" that I want to mention is NBA Street Vol. 2's menus. The game came out in 2003 and I felt that it's main menu interface was pretty ahead of it's time and fit the game really well.

I loved the animations in the Final Fantasy XIII menus, such a simple touch was nicely appreciated.

I already played Child of Eden on the 360, but recently bought it on the PS3 as well, and it's very much a high contender in this. It's so visually appealing and serene.

Is Child of Eden worth playing without Kinect? Threads like this always get me interested.

Yes, I think so. The first time I played through it, I was just using the regular 360 controller. You can buy a code off ebay for $6.99 nowdays, and then if you ever do get a Kinect, you already have the game ^^ It's almost a completely different experience.
